I'm happy Lauren was able to escape the stairwell long enough to make this video!
I know! Thought she was trapped there forever to haunt those who dare enter her domain.
I literally LOL'd at this comment
Me too! I’ve heard that stairwell is haunted. I wonder how she got out in one piece! 🤔
Do we want have her again for their new song cover: my suggestion: any songs by Arch Enemy with Alissa White-Gluz.
@@kaijanssen5245 She died in there, which left her spirit free to wander around.
If Pentatonix does Christmas best, then Voiceplay OWNS Halloween
3 letters, *YES.*
Pentatonix are great.... but they don't have a Geoff
@@qcrew2938 They had Avi... Matt is ok, but Avi was way better.
HomeFree wins it from Pentatonix when it comes to weird christmas songs... check out Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer... but I agree with you for the regular christmas songs: Pentatonix is the best...
what do you mean they HAD Avi? Did he left? =/
The little "Hello!" At 1:46 absolutely SENDING me every time.
Honestly the coolest video I've ever been a part of 🥹👻🎃
What is your vocal type or vocal range?
You're voice is absolutely lovely. Thanks for bringing this eerie spooky song to everyone's attention. We wouldn't have this amazing video without your captivating cover of it. Fantastic
You were amazing! Love the creepy smiles - you fit right in to the VoicePlay chaos 😁
Ever since I first found your videos, I thought Voiceplay should do a collaboration with you! Well worth the wait!
great job!
I mean, who else absolutely HAS to visit the Haunted Mansion every time they're in Disney?!
And not just once. Several times.
Most definitely...
I have two rooms in my house fully decorated with Haunted Mansion stuff. Ridden the ride so many times I've lost count. I have Haunted Mansion clothes, mini backpacks, you name it, I have it lol.
That was quick...discovered beforehand and put as a suggestion in the comment section of the FnM video... Elizabeth in supersonic mode? 😁
I've only gotten to go to Disney and ride it once, when I was seven. One of my earliest memories, and definitely makes me want to go back someday!
I love how Lauren keeps her voice more into the Disney Princess realm, then slides into eerie/wrathful/creepy so easily. Really adds a nice unsettling undertone.
Also, holy fuck, she gets into the whistle range so beautifully and cleanly.
Once again, everyone's knocked it out of the park!
Do you see Voiceplay will do: Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John with Kiki Dee, as Elton John: Eil Jacobson will take full lead will used his strong mixed with his lower register and his higher register, as Kiki Dee: Rachel Potter will used her supported clear tone,Geoff will used his mixed of chest and subharmonic for the bassline, high harmony by: collaborate with VJ rosales with Cesar de la Rosa.
Voiceplay + Lauren = the new owners of Halloween!
it's her smiles that makes the shivers run down your spine... if anyone on the street would smile at me like that I'd call them deranged...
CALL 911 XD
I absolutely love the playfulness of this video. The characters are absolutely chilling, and the sound is unsettling, but their excitement is palpable, and I can't help but replay it every time I come across it.
Lauren's maniacally delighted smile in this is just the best! So creepy! 👻
Lauren sounded sooooo goooood- and her smile was CREEPTASTIC. Scene-stealing! That is NOT easy considering it’s VP she’s with! Layne’s look stood out too but of course they all Really committ! Rick deserves ALL the makeup kudos💖
I agree. When it's the Halloween season they never disappoint with the make up
I think she is beautiful. That is one ghost I would not run from
Eli's mischievous "HELLO!" at 1:45 is so underrated and gets me every time I listen to this.
What was Eli supposed to be? I dont know
@@hauntedwalker2004my guess is some sort of vampire or smth
@@hauntedwalker2004He’s one of the stretching portraits, specifically the guy standing on a keg of lit dynamite.
Just double-checked, officially his name is Alexander Nitrokoff.
Eli is always polite, even when he breaks into a room
NO LITERALLY I THINK ABOUT IT EVERY SINGLE TIME I HEAR IT LIKE DAMN IT JUST ADDS SO MUCH TO THE CHARACTER
The makeup on Geoff and Layne is INSANE! Wonderful job, everyone!
Rick Underwood did their makeup. He's a true artist!
And Eli's underwear is stunning 😁 moreover the performance is stunning guys. Congrats!
Was Geoff supposed to look like Al Pacino, or was it a coincidence?
Just looking at the thumbnail, I honestly wasn't quite sure which was Layne and which was Geoff!
Disney's and Magic Kingdom's jaws just dropped to the floor...
The fact that the hat box ghost was the beat BOXer was above some peoples heads 😂😂 love this 🖤🖤 👻
Rick 1000000% outdid himself on the make-up this time. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Agreed!
It's so good infact, that i mixed up geoff and layne at first xD
Especially with Layne’s makeup - he REALLY creeps me out in this
@@TheLendo same
"Featuring Voiceover Vocals by Elizabeth Zharoff (The Charismatic Voice)" NO WAYYY thats so exciting!!! nice one Elizabeth, truly an ascended fan
Layne's Hatbox Ghost costume is nuts!!! My favorite of all of them!
The costumes and makeup were definitely creepy. But in a good way!
I want one
What about this: White Room by Cream, collaborate with Adam Rupp from Home Free to take full lead, collaborate with Scott Hyoing from Penatatonix for his 3rd octave with the blend for the lead, high harmony by: Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa, Geoff will used his mixed of chest and subharmonic for the bassline.
Everyone's costumes are extremely good
Ooh, Lauren saying "Hurry baaack, hurry baaack..." at the end actually made me shiver. xD
Perfect acapella group and the most perfect voice of Lauren Paley=PURE PERFECTNESS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🩷🩷🩷
This is just so good everything Halloween needs. People will panic Geoff has quietly left the group until he opens his mouth.
Yep. Lol
Totally did
Wait what?
Because he's hardly recognizable in that costume/makeup?
@@craftedraven9123 The makeup is so good he's virtually unrecognizable until he opens his mouth.
Ah yes the most common horror tropes. Undead bride, crypt keeper, ghost ball, the grounds keeper who seen things, and a russian
My favorite park of every Halloween is when VP puts out something
ITS THE STAIRWELLS GIRL OMG MY LIFE IS COMPLETE I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THAT VOICE
Okay the whole thing is super cool, but can we just applaud the superior voice acting/character singing? That’s so difficult to do well and everyone was solid!
Having rewatched a few times…. Why is Eli just reducing me to giggles with his “Hello” and….. banjo?
I love the whole thing -everybody is brilliant, love the beatboxing creativity, Lauren & Liz, Cesar and Geoff just being perfection… but I’m just not over Eli 😂😂😂
Woah! Jeff got some heckin contouring!!
Sets, costumes, and makeup are ridiculous! Geoff is unrecognizable as Caretaker. Layne's Hatbox Ghost is chilling. Lauren's Bride is picture perfect (as is her "Hurry baaaack...). Eli was already perfect for Dynamite Guy Alexander Nitrokoff. Cesar as Madame Leota is a whole MOOD and a role he was born to play. Such an exciting and fun release for October! Can't stop singing in my head!
What about this: Welcome to the Jungle by Gun’n Roses, we absolutely and definitely want Eil Jacobson to take full lead will used his heavy rock’n roll tone, high harmony by: Cesar de la Rosa collaborate with EJ Cardona, Geoff will used his subharmonic for the bassline.
Too bad they couldn’t find a trapeze performer for the second painting.
Everyone looks great but for some reason I particularly love Cesar in the crystal ball.
Fun fact this song was original in Korean by vocaloids, but the English version is sung and written by Lizz Robinett
Which is honestly crazy, to think we got some vocaloid music representation now. Lol
They need to give her credit
@@SeafoamStymphalian I think some of the lyrics were changed so
Korean, not Japanese.
@@SeinIshamiado yeah the lyrics are changed a bit
Do y'all ever worry that by setting the bar so high EVERY SINGLE TIME, that one day you won't be able to top yourselves!?!?! Simply outstanding!!!!
What about this: Apocalypse Dreams by Tame Impala, collaborate with Adam Rupp from Home Free to take full lead will used his clearest engage core with his lightness of his tone and his vocal passages blend with the high harmony by: Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa, Geoff will used his mixed of growl and subharmonic for the bassline.
The Elizabeth's voice 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Lauren has such a clear and beautiful voice. I love her crazed expressions. Costumes in this were great. I hope they do more collaborations with Lauren.
What about this: The Grand Illusion by Styx, we want Eil Jacobson to take full lead, high harmony by: Cesar de la Rosa collaborate with Adam Rupp from Home Free, Geoff will used mixed of growl and subharmonic for the bassline.
Simply THE Halloween video. Best ever. That eerie "hurry back" at the end... priceless.
Costuming and makeup folks really get to go all out for halloween!
I couldn't tell Geoff and Layne apart at first.
Eli is soo original here for some reason :D i could watch all day.. perfect playing perfect character
Alright. So long story short, I have misophonia. For those of you who don't know, hearing 'misophonic sounds' is like glass scratching on a chalkboard. One of those sounds is 'shhhh', as in 1:31. However, this video is so awesome that I did not entirely mind, whereas otherwise it would make me want to beat my head on a wall. So I must say thank you so much VoicePlay for not only giving me music that I enjoy, but to help me get over such a debilitating condition. I know that was obviously not your intention, but you have done me a great service. I'm not one for attention, but if people would like this so I can show these guys my gratitude, that would be awesome.
I was laying in bed when this turned on. My lights flickered (I need to change the lightbulbs) so I got a mini heart attack. lol
Yo the guy in the top hat costume and make up is lit❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is most risque video VoicePlay has done yet, we got to see Eli in his boxers!
At first I couldn't find Geoff, then I realized he's obviously the old & boring one.
Cesar clearly lost his head after being the center of attention.
But other than Layne's face being a different color, he's still the creepy guy making funny noises, how come he didn't get a proper costume? 🤣
Seriously though, Lauren killed it.
👍🏻
Geoff and Layne hid themselves well.. if not for voices.
Layne was the Hatbox Ghost. One of the most famous i Haunted Mansion. Disney is also bringing him back to the mansion next year. The sounds he makes is fitting for the Hatbox Ghost as well. He played him well .
Same with Geoff playing the caretaker, Silas Crump. Perfect.
Eli did an awesome job playing Alexander Nitrokoff.
And let's talk about Cesar as Madame Leota. The bodiless ghost in the orb. The first line he says is what she says in the mansion.
Then there's Lauren. That scream she did to make Layne's head to into the Hatbox is amazingly high.
Oh.
Layne had to fly to Nashville and back in 24 hours right before hurricane Ian to film Lauren on green screen.
Then he super imposed her afterwards. Just like they did with Alexa in Enemy.
@@jackyfriedman1963 Yes I am SUPER excited for a Hatbox Ghost to finally make it to Florida! And I was tickled pink with that 'Boom!' we get from Mr. Nitro himself in VoicePlay's video... epic! Then Leota's orb starts floating, and the caretaker is shaking and holding up his latern... they really did a fantastic job recreating these charcters, didn't they?
I'm obsessed with how much fun Layne is clearly having!
no matter wich video i watch im always in awe of both geoff and Eli in terms of Voice Control, eli for being a Tenor and Geoff for being a Bass not to mention that they seem to really be able to confey certain emotions in theyr Voice
Love Eli's hello at 1:46
I still can’t find it on apple tunes but I love watching it
If you got it, haunt it! The ghostess with the mostest.
Holy shit I LOVE Lauren's voice!! Been obsessed with her Shorts duets of this song with other singers. How have I NOT seen this until now?! 😭
I have played this video on repeat for 6 days straight now. AND ITS STILL NOT OLD!
Same here, Cesar's first line has been stuck in my head for days, well the whole song has been really, but that line specifically is stuck on a loop in my mind
What about this: Thundering Voices by Rival Sons, we want Eil Jacobson to take full lead, high harmony by: Cesar de la Rosa and collaborate with Adam Chance from Home Free, Geoff will used mixed of subharmonic and growl for the bassline
Layne needs to do so much more voice acting singing, he’s so talented at it!
Edit: Eli too, his accent was so natural I honestly didn’t clock that it wasn’t his normal voice at first!
As per usual, everyone was absolutely incredible, but I have to give special props to Eli who just killed it, not only singing but in character. There's always so much to his performances, and this was no different!
What about this: When The Screams Come by Pentagram, definitely and absolutely we want Lyane Stein to take full lead will used his clean and connected core will used his ingressive phonation that we sounds clearer, collaborate with Kevin Oulsa from Penatatonix for his darkest overlapping with his higher and sub - lower register with the blend with the lead, collaborate with Tim Foust from Home Free will used his chest with different depth,Geoff will used his subharmonic for the bassline.
The strength of Eli's low notes when he drops all the way into baritone are amazing.
I dont know how many times I have listened to this. I STILL get CHILLs. Every time. Still fabulous
Not only do they look and sound great, but they really got the mannerisms of each of the characters down! So fun to watch!
What about this: Psychoticaly Derranged by Cage, collaborate with Adam Chance from Home Free to take full lead will used his light but darker and rustic tone, high harmony by: Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa, Geoff will used mixed of chest and subharmonic for the bassline.
Fair warning: this such an earworm, but a brilliant one! It'll have you humming for days! 🤩😍
(And nice to see that Geoff shares his blue paint 😂)
What about this: Sound of Silence by Disturb, definitely and absolutely we want Geoff to take full lead with his low of the lowest register then middle of that song will used his 4th and 5th octave Than end of this song back low of the lowest register, Lyane Stein will used atmospheric synth beatboxing, high harmony by: Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa.
This has got to be their BEST set up so far! Geoff nails the crotchety caretaker, Layne with his rickety voice as the voodoo doctor, Eli as the sadistic nutcracker-style butler, Lauren as the lonely spirit with the new body and finally, Cesar as the caged former host of Lauren’s vessel. Its like a sequel to the Woman in Black!
Eli's accent and Lauren's facial expressions make this video so much better. Also whatever voice Layne was doing at 0:21
What about this: Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams, definitely and absolutely we want Eil Jacobson to take full lead will used his heavy on his rock’n roll tambour with his rustic tone with little bit of darkest edge, high harmony by: Cesar de la Rosa and collaborate with Kevin Oulsa from Penatatonix, Geoff will used mixed of chest and subharmonic for the bassline.
Wow this video was amazing to watch and a treat to the ear...
The hurry back at the end with Geoff's evil laugh perfection ❤
Voiceplay is becoming synonymous with Halloween! So much fun!
What about this: Pray Into the Abyss by The troops of Doom, definitely we want collaborate with Tim Foust will take full lead with his darkest and strong with distorted tone especially his bass register be out of the world, high harmony by Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa, Geoff will used mixed of growl and subharmonic for the bassline.
Lauren: I want to see your *h o r r o r s*
Eli at 1:46: Hello!
Best version of this song. E. V. E. R!
Does anybody else think that Geoff looks like a macabre version of Bert (Dick Van Dyke's character in Mary Poppins)?
Dick Van Dyke was my first thought too.
What about this: Firestone by Kygo featuring Conrad Sewell, main lead is: collaborate with Adam Rupp from Home Free as Conrad Sewell, Lyane Stein and collaborate with Kevin Olsua from Penatatonix as Kygo. High harmony by: Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa.
My poor husband... this song has been on repeat for days now. And my kindergartner loves to sing along with it... especially Eli's parts. :D
What about this: Break Free From Your Life by Design the Skyline, collaborate with Adam Chance from Home Free to take full lead, high harmony by: Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa, Geoff will used his subharmonic for the bassline.
The makeup on Geoff was amazing.
I have this on repeat a lot. Thank you for this masterpiece.
Ding Dong is a winner! Love the costumes, the make-up, the background and most especially the acting! LOL! Thank you for including the lyrics! 10 out of 10!
Voice Play has done it again. They just don't disappoint. From the make-up, costumes, special effects, harmonies, and character voices. This was simply magnificent (and I don't even like Halloween and scary stuff). Layne does such a great job of arranging--a genius!
What about this: A Shrine to Madness by The Black Dahlia Murder, collaborate with Adam Chance from Home Free to take full lead, for his forceful darkest with little raspyness with in the middle of the power based on his upper and lower register into screaming just right for the intervals, collaborate with Mitch Grassi from Penatatonix for the high harmony with Cesar de la Rosa and Eil Jacobson.
This makes me happy and sad at the same time. Halloween was my mom's favorite time of year, her birthday was Oct. 26, and we would always have a costume party combining her birthday with Halloween. She used to tell us kids she was a witch. She loved the haunted mansion at Disneyland. But now, this marks 10 years since she passed due to cancer. I know she would loved Geoff deep bass ❤️
What about this: Invisible Touch by Genesis, absolutely and definitely we want Cesar de la Rosa to take full lead with collaborate with Adam Rupp for his harmonic undertone with the blend with the lead, high harmony by Eil Jacobson and collaborate with Scott Hyoing from Penatatonix, Geoff will used his mixed of chest and subharmonic for the bassline.
3/3. LOL, Ding Dong is a winner. Love the costumes, make-up, acting and background. Deliciously funny!
You guys!!!! Perfect. Absolutely PERFRCT!! 👏🏻👏🏻 Lauren and Elizabeth!!!
What about this: Bad Medicine by Bon Jovi, collaborate with Scott Hyoing from Penatatonix to take full lead with his mostly somewhat heavy on his rustic and some raspyness pickup, high harmony by: Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa, Geoff will used mixed of growl and subharmonic for the bassline.
Going forward, I'll use this as the mood-setter for my annual Halloween horror movie marathon. Also, the guest singer's performance is INCREDIBLE. Not just her singing, but that horrifying creepy murderous glee that she showed the whole way through. Absolutely brilliant!
I like the decision to portray Nitrokoff as really loud and erratic, as a nod to his explosive demise
VoicePlay absolutely owns Halloween. This is going to be stuck in my head all month!
What about this: not every pain hurts by lacrimosa, collaborate with Emoni wilkins to take full lead, high harmony by: Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa, Geoff will used his mixed of growl and subharmonic for the bassline.
As a patron I'm just so happy I could help be a small part in making this happen. I just love this one so much. It just delightfully unhinged and I enjoy it very much.
You are all so incredibly, delightfully and completely enveloped in your characters and it is a joy to watch.
Rick did an incredible job on the make up, I'm so astounded at how hard to recognize Layne, but mostly Geoff is.
I love the camera work and editing. The lighting and effects are so great as well. Cesar as Leota worked so well, as well as Lauren as bride Constance. Spot on!
Not to even mention how incredibly fun this arrangement is, you all did an impeccable job.
This video is so well put together and creative. I really like the final product.
Kudos to everyone who helped make this possible. I've had it on repeat non stop, and I sure hope that'll be the case for everyone else once this goes public. Thank you guys!
Very well said. My words exactly. Iv I've been listening and watching this almost constantly since they released it to the patrons.
What about this: Cult of Personality by Living Colour, definitely and absolutely we want Lyane Stein to take full lead, collaborate with Adam Rupp from Home Free as 2nd beatboxer, high harmony by Eil Jacobson and Cesar de la Rosa, Geoff will used his subharmonic for the bassline.

Seriously though, this one is, as always, amazing!
The make-up is ridiculously good, I couldn't tell Layne from Geoff until the spoke.
And the song... wow. It's one of my all-time favorites! Thank you for this!
What about this: medley of strange world movie soundtrack ( not yet released the soundtrack but it will come out) you decide for different cast for collaboration that you want or 2 acapella group like pentatonix with Home Free.
I went to see the new movie last week and all I could think about were your HM covers, they should've ask you guys to perform a song for the movie!!
I can practically see the thousands of animatics of this song already.
But seriously this absolutely rules. This is my favorite version of the Hide and Seek song and I couldn’t help but imagine it being sung in a Horror Movie version of The Haunted Mansion. Like the ghosts were hunting down a disrespectful trespasser or something like that.
10/10!
Someone definitely needs to make an animatic version of your idea though! Lol
Make up looks amazing! I can't even recognise Geoff and Layne! Can't wait to hear it and let my mind blown
all these charismatic voices 😉🎵🎶
Eli's costume made me giggle. Also lauren did a great job. The amount of psycho sh conveyed with just her face was perfect. Amazing job guys. I love the Halloween songs.
What about this: When the Stars Begin to Fall by tomahawk, we definitely and absolutely want Eil Jacobson to take full lead for his heavy like a rocker singer will used mixed for lower register and his higher register runs or riffs transition into passages of hid vocal folds, Geoff will used his subharmonic for the bassline, high harmony by: Cesar de la Rosa collaborate with Jose Rosario Jr.
This song is an absolute ear worm, and I Lowkey with the ton was even creepier cause man, when you listen other versions you get shivers but the shiver I feel here are the shivers of finding a masterpiece. I’m not sure what I’d prefer- the shiver of a masterpiece or the shiver of fear-
Either way beautifully executed
I knew Lauren's video already and it is great. But this collab is even greater! In my country halloween isn't a big thing. Last year I fell in the voiceplay rabbithole and now I know more halloween songs than ever in my live.
They are king of Halloween, I think is their favorite holiday Like Penatatonix their holiday is Christmas and Home Free is valentine.
Check out Geoff's youtubes. Riders in the Sky, Headless Horseman, and Monster Mash
Can’t wait for the non Patrons to see this. It is an absolute banger of a video and composition.

This song was so good, I don't know how many time's I'd listen to this around October.
The cosplay looks so cool, especially the hatbox ghost cosplay, so cool
I love how much playfulness and fun Voiceplay put into this arrangement! The goofy “hello!“ after “I’m inside your room now” as well and the banjo part near the end; they took such a spooky song and made it genuinely funny at times.
Please have Elisabeth Zharoff as a future project.
I've watched this and multiple reactions to it, and I'm still so fascinated by Eli's character voice here. The voice itself is amazing and the switches between singing and speaking are brilliantly timed.
