Rick Steiner and Bron barking with the crowd during the post match was pretty cool.
Breakker is athletic, talented, ans crazy strong. That Alabama Slam on the table looked brutal, and every time he picked up Ciampa he looked in total control with barely no effort showing. The guy's going places.
This guys has no business being this charismatic and good on the mic this early in his career. I know people might shit on me for this but I like him more than other rookies like dante martin, hook, Dominic mysterio etc
No one is going to shit on you.
Dante hook and mysterio are all solid and can be great but none of them strike me as a main event draw.
@@jgeorge2693 they're workhorse midcarders at best imo and there's nothing wrong with that. Guys like shelton and chavo made a decent career despite not being the main draws of a show.
I don't understand why people are so into Hook. I feel he's trying so hard with his facials to look mean or swarmy. Bron on the other hand is so much more believable.
@@danbaby2740 it originally started because he never talked, got involved etc. Just the mystery of it all. Following up a year of anticipation, with one of the best debut performances in years, in his first time in a match ever, got people understandably excited imo.

Breakker is awesome. His matches are so entertaining.
Only NXT match I have ever (probably will ever ) watched, it was a really entertaining match

@RICO Yeah it was a weird comment, but still to this day it is the only NXT match I have watched . My fandom is now is WM, late 70s to 2006 and some occasional clips from RAW, Smackdown or AEW if something very interesting is happening.
This kid feels like the biggest must see rookie the industry has seen since Brock Lesnar and Okada.
Also, he said the black singlet was a tribute to his dad.
Okada? I don't recall that. Sure maybe. I just remember him and Storm on Impact lol Dude is great now of course.

Okada was clearly a prodigiously talented wrestler after returning from excursion, and people who cared about good wrestling in the modern age obviously considered him must watch since he consistently had the best main event matches of the decade. Obviously people not watching the show he was on didn't care, just like people who don't watch NXT don't care about Bron Breakker. Neither guy would attract a huge crowd on the street or get a huge pop if they showed up at most random RAWs or SmackDowns.
Rex Steiner is a beast plain and simple he knows what he can do in the ring he deserves this he put on one hell of a performance both men did Ciampa did his thing he was incredible as well nice seeing Rick Steiner after his sons match to embrace him after Rick Steiner is one of my favorite wrestlers back in the 90s & early 2000s
Ciampa made him look good. He’s been an mvp in the new nxt

Bron's got next. It's very obvious the kid is going to be an absolute star if he wants it. He has the intangible 'it' factor and the pedigree does not hurt either. Wish the young man nothing but the best.
It also depends on this company to make him one and that hasn’t been the case a lot. Triple H should run his own promotion not with the wwe

According to an interview he did, Bron Breakker was actually Rex’s idea, figured he wanted to try and forge his own path and not rely on his surname to get by.
And we still call him Steiner
Bronn's dad, Rick Breakker and his uncle, Scott Breakker were my favourite tag team.
I loved the Breakker Brothers! Ha.

His first promo with LA Knight, the second I seen his face Steiner was the first thought I had. It was a great match. Never watched more than 2 minutes of NXT. That was overall a pretty good show.
Bron Steiner have had a few matches on the Indies with his uncle Scott managing him (a lot of ppl don’t know that) so I’m not surprised he’s catching on quick

He probably will at some point. The tights he wore for the title win were a throwback to the gear his dad wore when he won the US title. He'll eventually wear some Poppa Pump throwback gear.
didn't Steiner use that idea from his valet, Midaja? I vaguely remember her starting to wear that out the the ring, then a couple weeks later Steiner had it on his head.

Rex Steiner and Austin Theory are my two favorites to watch in the WWE right now. Both remind me of a young Batista/Orton/Cena.
I’d also add Grayson Waller to the list. That kid has boatloads of potential and has really surprised me since the relaunch.

@@jgeorge2693 Roddy for the title is a different match, let's say for winter, at Mania weekend, perhaps another match with Ciampa, since Bron will be defending the story will be different, minor challengers like perhaps LA Knight or Grimes on weeklies, and bam, there you go, it's summer you can use Walter (assuming he won't be on main shows)

They built the rebrand around him. The nxt colors match his regular singlet

You can hear the giddy joy in Jim’s voice. After hearing his foul thoughts on AEW matches, this is refreshing
As a guy who used to run developmental. Cornette would have loved to have someone like Steiner.

I'm convinced the Steiners contributed to some of the best matches in the WWF as a tag team.
The lineage continues and couldn't be better.
actually it can be better - Bronson isn't the only son of Rick. Rick has other two sons; Scotty has two as well. That's 5 different second-generation Steiners. However, from what I've seen, only Bronson look "like a Steiner", others are either too young at the moment or just look like they would pursue career somewhere not-sport-related (which is fine, not everybody has to be a wrestler)

This was a great moment for Bron Breakker/Rex Steiner, and I hope he has a good solid reign. Great to see Rick get to celebrate with him after even if they can't acknowledge him as his father. Too bad, it had to then be completely destroyed the next day by the announcement of more NXT released all connected to HHH. But Bron has shown more talent, skill, and ring understanding in 6 months than 99% of AEW's roster has in 3 years. People said WWE can't create new stars, well we are looking at one.

I haven't watched wrestling for 18 years but I loved the Steiners when I was a kid so I bet Rick's son will be great someday.
People forget Rick was originally suppose to get a push in the early 90's, but it never happened. Rex has star written all over him. I agree about don't let WWE/NXT add corny comedy to his act. And he'll have a name change when he go to Raw or Smackdown.

Match was good but the finish was meh in my opinion. Crowd didn't seem to love it
It was a face versus face match and the crowd loves Ciampa. They popped pretty hard for the Steiner Recliner though

Tommaso Ciampa’s finisher is similar to the Pedigree but it’s not that. It’s the “Angel Wings” that a wrestler named Christopher Daniels does. However, Tommaso calls it “Fairytale Ending.”

His real name is Bronson Rechsteiner. Steiner was never the family name. It's their wrestling name. Rex Steiner is an off shoot of his real last name Rechsteiner.
