I can’t find this album much now. Shame as it’s really good for me. Love it. Floyd were broke when they recorded the album and that, plus the tour, really did just wear them out. On balance, The Wall studio album must be my all-time favorite.

Roger Waters was against the release of the album. David GIlmour, Nick Mason and Rick Wright made sure The Wall Live 1980-81 was released in 2000. Also Roger complained about Storm Thorgerson doing the artwork. David said if he had The Wall concert films in his hands he would have released it already but Roger has been dragging his heels.

    My gripes with the album:
    - Not thrilled how they lifted not just lines from songs but also pieced together some guitar solos.
    - Cutting short Gary Yudman's banter before both In The Flesh songs.
    - Cutting the segue to Empty Spaces was a reall letdown. Rick's keyboard piece was beautiful.
    - Drenching some songs' drums and vocals in reverb while others remained on the dryer side (i.e. Another Brick In The Wall Part 2)
Other than that I love the album but I love putting on Feb.28 at Nassau and just cranking it.

Good analysis. It’s flawed but to have them all on stage playing it on a decent-quality recording is ❤ to me.

@@mattleppard1964Agreed. I just wish they'd use AI to clean up the picture, sound and HD upscale the Earl's Court shows recorded on 6-camera videotape. The shows on CZcams suffer from a bad picture and audio.
