Coach Walsh has got us all fired up! There's nothing like hearing directly from a coordinator to learn the schemes and how plays are designed and executed. The Silver and Black is assembling a great squad to lead into battle for AFC dominance. Sharpen the swords! Is it September yet? Raaaaaideeers 🏴☠️🖤⚔️
At this point this is the best football information I've ever heard and I'm 37 years old been a Raider fan all my life ........I CAN SIT WITH TOM WALSH and NEVER BE BOARD IN LIFE AGAIN ........GREAT FUCCIN INTERVIEW.....THIS IS PURE GOLD
What an absolute treat. Both of these interviews with Coach Walsh were pure gold. Bonus points for Dokie Williams getting a mention. He was a real favourite of mine when I was younger. Thank you so much Hondo.
I have been watching and/or studying the game of Football for over forty years. I have learned far more than I have in four decades during these two episodes featuring the wisdom of the LEGENDARY Tom Walsh led by the commentary and excellent questions prepared by and executed by you, Hondo. I am soooooooo very grateful to and for both of you for sharing your time and knowledge with the rest of us. Best to you and yours, Gentlemen. I look forward to potentially seeing you both pair up again. ✌☠🖤
The last 2-days has been fantastic listening to TW. He is much better than the weekly guests. He has a great way of explaining offensive football. I like how he gets all fired up. RAIDERSSSSSSSS☠️☠️☠️
Thank you so much for this opportunity! I would love love LOVE it if Coach could become part of your program. I mean look at it this way, I played D line 4ever and he told me why I've always said the game starts and ends with the front line. I couldn't have explained why or if I could it certainly wouldn't have been as eloquently as Coach did. What a huge opportunity to learn from an all time great! Thank you so much!
Masterful high value high content interview... "content creators" take note of how it's done... when you have a knowledgeable articulate passionate guest, don't interrupt with questions or even agreeable adlibs and personal anecdotes.A+
Hot Hondo that was a great podcast thanks for bringing tom Walsh on I learned a lot I don't text much but that was awesome thanks again I really appreciate what you do.
Hondo this was an incredible interview! My football knowledge has definitely been enhanced! Coach Walsh is a treasure. It makes you wonder why 2006 was such a dumpster fire. I know Coach Walsh gets a lot of the blame for that painful year but after listening to him talk it makes you think in retrospect that there was clearly so many issues. Art Shell mentioned backstabbing in the front office. Instability. A generation divide between players and coaches and maybe not buying in? Who really knows! The futurevniw looks bright and looks like we're on our way to reclaiming our identity that Coach Walsh was a part of. Thanks you again Hondo, would love to listen to him him again especially during the season.
I don't know how much I learned but it's just because his football acumen is far beyond my football comprehension. So that's on me. But everything I could understand made perfect sense. I know Coach Pierce has a lot of senior advisors but one more wouldn't be a bad idea. His view of Mark Davis was right on point. Winning means everything.
The best guess you have ever had. That’s not a knock or any of the other great guests. That said, it’s clear that this guy knows almost everything about everything football.
Good interview. I was highly skeptical. His OC resume for us was horrific. Still he had interesting insight & takes. Not sure about the “Legendary” coach status though….
Only 3 "dudes" in the draft? And didn't include JPJ?? If your source watched Oregon tape how does he not see a dude in JPJ? Opinions are wildly inconsistent/inaccurate.
@@rifflicks I'm plenty open-minded, but if you are as well you'd consider the fact that 52% of first rounders under produce so even the so-called experts are wrong plenty. Also, JPJ didn't drop due to arm length...if anything it was due to positional value as centers are undervalued like RB and TE (which is why Bowers fell into our lap). Dudes are judged by tape not arm length....put on the tape and you see a dog.
Tom's got some nerve for saying Mark D needs to in to be considered a good owner. Heck, for someone that Hondo calls a guru and legend I know his offenses were never top 10. When confronted with this fact I hope he doesn't defend himself by saying he was hamstrung by the personnel that surrounded. Cause if he really was/is a guru/legend he could have made average players good--great players great--and great players immortals. BTY watch Tom's background as his wife probably tries to open the door in min.43 possibly trying to tell Tom enough and now its time for Hondo to talk to someone with real offensive credentials like a Sean McVay or a K Stefanski.
This should be required viewing by Raider fans.
Agree 💯 💪🏾🏴☠️🏈
Me: I'll never hear about the Pythagorean theorem outside of high school.
Tom Walsh: Hold my beer.
Been a fan since 1965. Brings back memories of the glory days when he talks about players of the past!!!
This guy is an OG Raider. He has a high football IQ. We need more. 😊
Unfortunately, he's more known for the infamous "Bed & Breakfast Offense" 🫤
This is great. You can tell the old coach still had a zest for the game. I hope the raider brass watches these pods from time to time.....

RAAAIIIDDDEEERRRSSS!!!🏴☠️🏈
"Tits to the sky" is the quote i didn’t know i needed lol
He was feeling it wasn’t he? Using old-school terms and everything.
@@Raidersguru lol he was! You get great content when people forget the cameras are rolling!
My favorite Guest of all time!! TW is Fantastic I could listen to Him for hours.
RESPECT for TW!!!🏴☠️🏈💪🏾
Thanks Hondo for having such informative respected guests

Tom sounds so much like AL
100%! MD, TT and AP please have a listen. Hire Walsh in some capacity!
Listened yesterday too. Your best guest ever. He could still do this easily. A shame he's not still coaching the RAIDERS.

Masterful high value high content interview... "content creators" take note of how it's done... when you have a knowledgeable articulate passionate guest, don't interrupt with questions or even agreeable adlibs and personal anecdotes.A+
I love Tom Walsh & the memories of the early 80's as a teen RAIDER and into the '90's when I was in my 20's ... Great Guy RN4L
Hope Tom visits with AP and Getsy to talk old school Raider football.
Love when coaches break down concepts
This is GOLD! T didn't know how much I didn't know. Thank you for this Gift!
Intense football mind. Amazing uncle Hondo thank you 😊 🙏
Very informative. Keep up the outstanding work Hondo.
Great job Hondo! Let's go Raiders!!!!!

2006 was the "Bed & Breakfast Offense" debacle.
he sounds like he would be an excellent offensive coordinator
He was for many years
This guy blows me away. Holy football batman
Great stuff! Thanks Hondo!
OMG, I’ve never heard football offense explained like this ❤️
Hondo and coach you are great, please coach go and visit AP and share this with him!
as always ty for the Raiders content!
We need to find a way to hire Tom Walsh
Raiders should bring this gentleman in as a consultant..just saying
I want to see them play a 3 tight end set with Brock in the backfield and Adams and Myers wide out. Oh my!
Pythagorean Theorem wow!
How do we get AP an staff to watch this an last interview with this coach, love this guy.
How great was that?😮 The Autumn Wind just blew through with gale-wind force!☠️☠️☠️
I don't know how much I learned but it's just because his football acumen is far beyond my football comprehension. So that's on me. But everything I could understand made perfect sense. Good old AL new
It's amazing getting a glimpse inside the brain of an offensive coordinator! It's truly a game of elite chess!
We had Raymond Chester and Dave Casper together Hondo, but you're not a Raiders fan.😮
Half of the bed and breakfast offense!
The best guess you have ever had. That’s not a knock or any of the other great guests. That said, it’s clear that this guy knows almost everything about everything football.

🏴☠️🔥☠️🔥🏴☠️
Wait a second! Wasn’t this the Bed N. Breakfast guy at OC?
I hope Luke Getsy hears this and takes notes.
Hondo “I was having dinner with a prominent figure in the NFL” Carpenter
The vertical game
Can we hire him as our OC! Lol
Hondo; “us” @ 23:57
Is this the bead and breakfast offence guy?
I kinda wanna know who this SB winning qb is, if it’s a starter or if it’s a David Carr “I was the backup” Super Bowl winning qb
like the guy but I remember his offenses in the 80s were predictable. BTW, why is there no petition to get him in the Hall. Just saying.
😅I’d give this 3 thumbs up if I could by the way.
Don't ever put JaMarcus Russell on a thumbnail again. 🤮
I think that's Aaron Brooks
@@suavekins You're right, the years don't line up. Burn that #2 jersey at QB.😄 🔥
Aaron Brooks. The B & B offense led to Jamarcus Drafting
Ptsd for Raider Nation
Only 3 "dudes" in the draft? And didn't include JPJ?? If your source watched Oregon tape how does he not see a dude in JPJ? Opinions are wildly inconsistent/inaccurate.
If you're open minded.....you'd understand and accept that the knock on JPJ was his limitations due to arm length (Reach).....so there are concerns
@@rifflicks I'm plenty open-minded, but if you are as well you'd consider the fact that 52% of first rounders under produce so even the so-called experts are wrong plenty. Duh really your not talking about Aaron Hernandez off the field duh uhh duhh
Lmao legendary is a stretch. He was coordinator of one of the worst offenses ever. Especially in my lifetime 🤮
