The problem is that the corporation's PR and HR department who worked on this statmetn no doubt actually dont' care. No doubt plenty of employees are targeted, but they don't actually want to show examples because it could lead to lawsuit threats.
I'm also hesitant on the "pics or it didn't happen" thing cause, like, it's happening, all the time. Gamers are shitty people who love to send threats to whatever small people they can find, companies are shitty to their employees that are getting this abuse and getting abused by this company.

Yea Konami is fucking terrible. They don’t give a fuck about its players.
I think this happened because of the bad call banlist hits. Since then, duelists have been busting the chops of the company and when a card manufacturing plant goes down in Europe where product is left off the table, I can understand.
Back on the banlist issue: Banning Linkuriboh as the "Snake-Eyes hit" was a piss poor call and the Raleigh regional data having abou 60% of the tops being this deck proves it. Konami has stated that, and you covered this Cap, that banlist hits are to make it so no one deck is too powerful in competitive play. And Players showing Konami that they didn't stomach their own story probably isn't sitting well with the business RN.
I still think Trident Dragion will get a summer reprint, like Snake-Eyes finally getting properly checked in the summer, but duelists are just fed up with the "Too little too late" mindset and use the collected data to bust their chops.
Yugioh players can't process bad news without death threats. It's no wonder LGS are dropping yugioh products either. It's not worth it
@@spicymemes7458 duelists process bad news fine. Death threats and threats of attacks are things I can understand the company being upset about. But it the Evol support from DUNE can have the company reprint Evol cards that were key from the 5Ds era to drop with the new support, the same could've happened with a Trident Dragion reprint for Tenpai in the eyes of the competitive duelist.
Like I said, I feel it'll drop in the summer, but the response was handled poorly by the card R&D

It’s hard to fix the issue if you don’t know the problem.
There was no harassment. Nor was there any actual bullying, maybe a few HR people got angry emails(the horror) over the numerous missteps the company has made. It's a smoke screen, classic public relations cover. Likely because they are indeed trying to quell people from being too talkative about how much they loathe Konami's practices. This is a warning to not get too vocal if you have the reach or else you'll find yourself on the naughty list. Something they can point back to if/when someone gets banned from events for 'harassment' aka talking out against them and more importantly having enough reach to make that call out matter.

Poor communication, anti-consumer decisions, and piss poor management of live events has nothing to do with the playerbase. Anyone who is defending Konami, a multi-billion dollar company, is just a straight up clown. Do better Konami.
The problem is that the possibly bullying ISN'T actually "on them." Gamers love to bully lower-level employees because that's who they can contact and reach and be heard from, they can't find and contact managers and higher-ups, so they bully smaller employees who are just working the jobs the best they can.
So basically, the bullying on "Konami" is actually no doubt the employees who are also being fucked over by Konami, which if so is not deserved and veyr bad.

I think you're using bullying is a kinda odd way here. It sounds like your "bullying is good" is more about actual criticism and complains. Which I don't think people would actually say IS bullying. It can still be badly used if the criticism is bad or it's sent to the wrong people, But I disagree with you saying bullying is good because I don't think what you are saying is bullying.
Without all their customers Yugioh wouldn't be as successful as it is, and Konami wouldn't have nearly the money it has. They need to take a step back
This was posted shortly after the video of the LEDE preview where konami employees explain that the new AFFORDABLE archetype, Tenpai Dragons, is designed to synchro into Trident Dragion, a card that has only been printed once and not since 2010, and then telling players to simply borrow it from a friend if you dont have one.

I don' condone death threats towards anyone. Having said that, I'd like to know what the heck was being said. The timing for this post is impeccable by the way. They said you need Trident Dragion to play the Tenpai Dragons deck, a card that has had only two reprints since its release a decade or so ago. They got backlash for it and now they post this statement. I get what they're saying, but Konami kinda brought this one on themselves

When I was looking up this monster for Edison format, I was surprised to see what it's price tag was for such an old card. I originally thought it was due to the lack of reprints and rarity, but it wasn't until I saw this video that now I know the real reason why Trident Dragion is a $100 card.
Maybe this is just a sign they should throttle down on Power Creep a bit (Because everything good is a meta warping superthreat) and reprint any cards they're planning on making legacy support for, at the same time or even BEFORE the Legacy support comes out
People wouldn't be this mad if Dragion suddenly got a mysterious reprint a few months before Tenpai came out (Or even in the same set)

I saw this post on their official I Instagram as well. Many players were really upset about the ban list not being released sooner and even the ban list itself. As for the Dragion thing people really need to grow up. People had months to pick that card up before it went up in price. If you really wanted to play Tenpai you would thought of this before hand.
The sad thing is that this isn't the FIRST time Konami's gotten flak for dumb decisions regarding their IPs. On the gaming side of things, they've caught a lot of flak for their handling of the Castlevania and Metal Gear franchises--to the point where they STOPPED making Pachislot games in Japan, because it was hurting their revenue due to their target audience not playing the games.
In fact, I'm pretty sure that the only reason the Castlevania and Metal Gear fans even got a release of a collection of the older games in the first place is because there were those who kept complaining about how Konami was basically ignoring some of their biggest money-making franchises. They eventually relented and re-released older titles, but they have yet to give a new title in the series or even update some of the other games they worked on for release.
My point is this: if it DOES turn out that Konami is only speaking out due to the constant badgering and complaints from the Yu-Gi-Oh player base, the company really has NO right to complain at all when they have a HORRID reputation for their poor handling of IPs all across their company.

Tbh I think the biggest thing is if Konami actually listened to their community and made some decisions that made everyone happy. Then ppl wouldn't get all that mad at them since Konami can say they listen to their players at least a little bit

All Konami care about is making money off of yu gi oh, they do not care about the game, they do not care about you, they do not care unless it is spelt M O N E Y sorry to break it to you guys. The very fact that they release game breaking decks after the last game breaking deck, is so you are forced to buy into said deck, or face getting whooped 9/10. So you buy the shit out of packs etc, get the deck, and then months down the line because the deck was game breaking, they have to put bans on certain cards. This alone shows that when creating cards, monsters, effect etc they aren't complying with keeping it fair, it's literally a scam and we all fall for it. They should be sued for this exact reason because those are some scumbaggy practices.
For the younger generation it 10 years ago they were 5, now 15.
They have no way, and probably don't know anyone with a Trident dragion. Teens don't have lots of cash to buy old cards.

It's OBVIOUS that konami is lying about the alleged threats of violence to garner fake sympathy and deflect from the fact that they are terrible corporation that has been ruining yugioh for far too long now and should not be running the card game anymore. There is no proof whatsoever of anything they allege.
On the other hand, we are yugioh players, and we complain and cry about everything game related.
