The Japanese kit is called "Punyo Punyo Cooking" if anyone is curious. I think they also have "Punyo Punyo Aquarium" and other kits.
I would absolutely eat at least one "noodle" if I was a child given this toy, maybe it's a good thing that the imitation food cooking style kit is difficult for Americans to purchase LOL. As always, thanks for the fun video! :)

The shaking makes it shrink, by shaking it, it makes the gell goes towards the center of the mold, just shake the mold when the gells already harden, not when dunking it to the solution.

No reason you couldn't. I've used kids things before. Picked up a Crayola trader & a crayon maker at thrift stores before. I had a kids spinning wheel too.
I also enjoy watching kids movies/books. They're relaxing.

Tip: when dunking the mold into the solution dont immediately start shaking the mold, that's what's causing the gel to shrink and puff up because the gel is moving as its solidifying
