I actually did this exact thing except i also added in some coconut oil to give it the glossy affect cause my Vaseline would kinda look mat due to me using lipstick instead of food coloring. But coconut oil actaully worked really well especially as it made it a lip oil type deal 😅

I'd suggest you use the Vaseline brand vaseline, it has a rosy lips version of the same thing :)
I use a mini Vaseline called rosy lips so it has a little bit of a pink/red tint which I love! They are only about 2$ and I love it :)
They also make tinted Vaseline that is made for your lips, and it has a rosy scent
Tip: just use a little liquid blush instead of food coloring. So much better
You can also get small tubs of rosy vaseline! And coconut!
