- As the first rays of dawn kissed the earth, casting a golden glow over the city of Rawalpindi, the aroma of sizzling parathas and spicy omelets wafted through the air. Nestled along the PWD Road stood the iconic Desi Dera Paja, a culinary institution that had stood the test of time since its establishment in 1951.
Every morning, like clockwork, the streets around Desi Dera Paja come alive with the hustle and bustle of locals and travelers alike, drawn by the promise of a hearty breakfast and warm hospitality. The tantalizing scent of freshly brewed chai mingled with the chatter of patrons, creating a symphony of senses.
As the sun rose higher in the sky, casting long shadows across the landscape, the humble eatery qasnfairlt queit.
Normally, I am told, the place buzzes with activity. From laborers fueling up for a day's work to families gathering for a leisurely meal.
