Friday Live Painting Session: How to get better at painting edges

- Today's Friday Live session is going to be all about edges.
If you've ever struggled with edge handling:
. How to make them softer, without them looking rough and ragged
. Where and when to make an edge hard or soft
. How to soften edges without losing the drawing accuracy and the form
well, today's live session is for you!
Along with painting a demo of the above subject, I'll also be sharing a simple method of edge softenting together with an exercise you can repeat to develop your skill with edges.

Couleur valeur, créer là même valeur avec 2 ou 3 couleurs différentes. C’est mon défi aujourd’hui.

That was great, thank you. Just a quick question, because you've softened all the edges, would you then go into the background and soften all the brush strokes there as well?
No, I like the texture of the brush strokes, it gives the painting more life. On paintings of more than one session, I sand and scrape the first layer back and paint over it, so that some of it still shows through. Texture is life!
