Inside the mysterious GREEN GROTTO CAVES - Jamaica | Walinton Mosquera

- Situated on 25.9 hectares of the island’s beautiful North Coast, the Caves are located between the resort centres of Ocho Rios and Montego Bay and are precisely 3.2 km from Discovery Bay to the west and 4 km from Runaway Bay to the east.
The central feature of this natural attraction is the large labyrinthine limestone cave with its unique rock formations, its stalactites, stalagmites and abundance of overhead ceiling pockets, and bats.
Green Grotto is 1,525 metres long and 12 metres deep and is characterised by numerous chambers and light holes and a subterranean lake - the Grotto Lake - occupies its bowels.

I remember going to the part of the caves that has the lake. There used to be some fish in there that were blind and really really white. We were told that it was due to a lack of sun light. Great video, but what a noisy set of tourists!
I went there on a school trip too it was so fun
Beautiful place and to think slaves escaped into there it was pitch black sharp rocks and different tunnels How brave they must of been to even enter

I was concerned about the negative response from viewers because the quality is not so good. I almost thought about deleting it but then I thought that maybe this was my only chance to do it because they are not allowing video recording.
You did a great job because i know how dark it is inside there to film without a light.

Hello my friend, Good to hear from you!! Do you believe me if I tell you that I was using my smartphone?. The other funny thing is that I was informed after, that video recording is not allowed there. (After you pay so much to go inside)

I enjoyed the video! Was it a cave employee that told you video recording was not allowed there? I did read that pictures and video are not allowed in the cave on their website. I wonder if that is not really enforced. I would like to tour the cave with my 4K video camera. If I can't, I will not go!
+thxdts it was before we started the tour when we were given the instructions that we could take photos but not video. I was able to record it because they though I was only using my phone's light to see.
I was thinking the same that if I couldn't record then I didn't want to pay for the tour.
Thanks for the info! My video camera would really stand out in the crowd! I will do the Sky Explorer (ski lift) tour instead. They lost a customer because of their stupid rule!
