Thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to picking up my Cane Corso (Roxie) within the next two weeks. Great perspective on separation anxiety - because I am working from home I wasn't as concerned but you make excellent points about not letting them get used to you constantly being present.
Just got a GSG yesterday and I think we will be in a similar boat with personality and separation anxiety. Good timing for me to learn right after you deal with this stuff.

I wasn't exactly against crate training, it was a me problem I felt horrible putting them in one, however since I have a cane corso and she suffers with separation anxiety so I cleared the cupboard in my living room, removed the door and used a safety gate (it's screwed into the door frame so its secure) and made it into a 'crate' I call it her bedroom 😂 best thing I did giving her, her own sanctuary to go to where she knows no one will disturb her ❤

Cane corsos are amazing dogs, it is impossible to not love them when you met one, I have a Doberman (love it) but my next dog will be a Cane Corso

We are waiting till Tuesday for our Cano Corso you really need to train it well don't be passive about it ! I've had many mastiff dogs .you do have to know it holds the number 3 in all dogs on psi bite 700 psi be dedicated on your training and you will have a great family member and will be a great protector
We brought our pup home on a Friday and then we’re all positive for covid on the Saturday…which means he’s now having to miss out on a week of socialisation. We had so many plans to take him out to different places- hopefully this doesn’t have too much of an impact on him 😩

Will, What kind of things do you think we will be surprised about owning a Cane vs. our Boxer? I could not fathom bringing another Boxer back in right after our old boy died. I didn't want to compare so I am going for the Cane breed for change. Starkemann was an absolute passive big guy. He ended up being a very healthy Boxer quite large for the breed at around 100lb. So any tips you have on the different approach from our family to this type of dog vs. the Boxer breed will be great to see. Thank you

Separation anxiety is a must as my puppy gets crancky the moment i leave her, i have to sit next to her untill she falls asleep. Also my puppy gets bit aggressive during tug of war play. Is it because of the breed (i have dogo Argentino) is it any behaviour issue that need to be solved ? 🤔

Hiya watching the video and at the beginning of the video you say that you have been socialising her with other dogs and people, and that she's been outside in the woods. At the end of the video you stated she is close to having get second jab?? Are puppies allowed out after having the first set of jabs i thought they were to stay in till all vaccinations done??. I have a 9 week old cane corso only just had his first jab. Can you clarify please. Thanks in advance 😉

Is she okay to be going out so much without all her vaccinations? I’ve always thought that puppy’s are pretty much home bound (or have to carry them everywhere outside) until they’ve had them all... am I wrong in thinking this?
Thank you so much for these videos and when I do finally get my giant Schnauzer puppy I will definitely be getting your puppy course. I can’t help but be discouraged because it seems like it takes someone without a normal job to properly train a dog? I don’t work full time hours but I still have to be away from them at least 20-25 hours a week. Is that too much?
did you get your puppy? I totally understand this statement... I feel like you really need to take a good 2 weeks off to fully integrate a puppy, and then really be purposeful about the time you spend after work... I totally get this!!

Hi mate. Great videos...just got our cane corso spit n dabs of yours only breeder said she was 11 weeks old but we had her weighed and she was only 4.5kgs. She's from a litter of 9 or 10 so just wondering if we should be worried she's not 11 weeks but in fact about 7..Any info would be appreciated 😉...weighed her this morning and she's 11.5 pounds

Not need to wait. Just have to be carefull. Better to start the training from day 1. Thats 2 months when she would get all her shots she would pick up a lots of bad habits.
They look like Great Dane puppies when young
The drive on my Corso pup is through the roof. Biting is a real problem. My 8 and 10 yr old kids cannot be around her.
She's 8wks.
I've tried yelping and saying ow. That only seems to encourage her.
Yanking the hand away, only encourages her.
Freezing and trying to be boring, only turns my arm into a chew toy.
All of the normal efforts seem to only encourage her to double down.
I've even tried to mark the release and reward that.
All of the above has been met with me redirecting her to a chew toy, which she will take. But, it doesn't seem to be as fun as my arms, my wife's sleeves, and my kids calves.
Now, I've put her on a lead, kept her close, and limited her entire world to my vicinity. I'm marking calm behavior with rewards. This has calmed her energy down a lot, but the nipping remains.
I got a Corso that believes she's a Malinois...

super gamer boy then there’s not really a guard dog for beginners. At least not that i’m aware of, maybe a bullmastiff or an English Mastiff

My giant schnauzer isn’t crying too much anymore, but I’m really struggling with the potty training. Offer outside trip about every hour. Sometimes she’ll pee then come in the house and 15 mins later she’ll have an accident. This puzzles me. Any suggestions from anyone would be welcome. She can make it about 4 hours during the night. Thank you again for ur videos.

Hey will I been reading your book and I had a question. I have a 10 week old cane Corso puppy and I believe she has separation anxiety. She has to have someone right beside her mainly me or my wife and when we make her go to bed in a crate she screems and bites her crate for hours. I'm afraid she will continue this behavior to when shes big and there will be no stopping her from getting out and destroying the house or worst hurting herself. What do i do?

I am not sure if you still monitor this channel, but I will comment anyway. So we just got our own Cane Corso puppy a few days ago (6 days) and I am anxious somehow about socializing her well. Since COVID we are still really not into the full social swing of social life. Also, her shots cannot be given early (there were no openings) and we are really not wanting to put her in an environment dangerous for her health. That being said, how do we circumvent the dog to dog meetings and still get her well socialized??
