I can't believe the guy thinks AD is better than Ewing. AD only made the playoffs twice and only one first round victory in the 2008 playoffs with the Pelicans.
First of all he didn't carry 2 teams to the finals secondly he got massively out played when he did get their 94 and 99 he got hurt in the ecf of game 2 i believe but give me A.D his game travels in any era plus he was more versatile than ewing

Saying Bill Russell or MJ aren't comparable in talent to today's players is asinine and does a disservice to both generations. And btw Scottie and MJ in a more balanced game with more hand checking and no grabbing screens for shooters would do pretty damn good. Just sayin.
They still only scored 87 points. The world is different, but endless 3s when they are dropping it’s great. When they don’t hit it’s unwatchable. The Celtics big three were putting more points up in the playoffs than this Celtics did this year. They also played way more physical. Some of the players you talked about would have never held up back in the day.
The 1992 Dream Team was not a Bunch of old has beens, Bird was 35, Magic was 32 and everyone else was 30 and under. They were all in their prime. The currant team has 5 guys aged 31 and older and 4 guys over the age of 34. Colin needs to do some research.

Even though Lebron, Durant, and Steph are past 35, they are still very productive and have not completely slowed down as they all did make it to an All-NBA Team selection. We have to remember during those time, nba players past 34 were not as good with the exception of Michael Jordan and there were rapid signs of decline after 28 years old. Lebron at any age is better than Magic Johnson particularly in scoring and shooting. The big men of AD and Joel Embiid are far more athletic and better defenders than Patrick Ewing and David Robinson, who got annihilated by Hakeem Olajuwon in 95.

Dream Team played defense, rebounded, were great passers and scored a ton of points in transition. The competition is far better now than it was in ‘92, but that team was loaded. At least three guys who are top ten all time, granted Bird was on his way out. If you don’t think a matchup between the ‘24 team and ‘92 team would be a toss up game, you’re crazy. Only five can play at a time and most teams only go eight deep in tight games. Any betting person would take the Dream Team.

Caitlin Clark is definitely not getting enough credit. Some people in the WNBA media and Angel Reese fans really want to make it this competitive thing. It’s not. It’s not even close. Caitlin Clark is on a completely different level when it comes to skill, not to mention Style of play, which is exciting and what is drawing in all the new eyeballs. These new eyeballs are helping everybody else’s bottom line. From getting the league charter flights, viewership up across-the-board, ratings will turn into dollars. People are able to sign bigger endorsement deals, and in effect because everybody’s tuning to watch Caitlin Clark, all the other girls are having to step up their game. The only issue about this era-yes everyone is skilled-but everyone plays like a 1 regardless of position. You still need the bigs to play like bigs, not just everyone shoot 3s. A 3-point shootout with no defense is not that fun

And about those TURNOVERS, a lot of them is because her teammates can’t handle her passes, she drops a dime of a pass right on the money and her teammates drop it, in the NFL that drop would be on the receiver BUT in the NBA that drop is on the quarterback/point guard, hence CC high turnover STATS.
CC rookie of the year but for Angel to even be in the Conversation is incredible. Both these women deserve their flowers, but CC is generational. Easiest way to measure it is who is closer to being league MVP. CC could win MVP in the next 2-3 years I don't think Angel will win one in her entire career and that's fine. The thing is their both breaking records their both impacting winning so its hard to punish one. It is close and Angel do have a case but we might not ever see another CC. She is the definition of 1 of 1. No pg in history is like her. NONE
Objectively, CC needs to get her team into the playoffs. A month ago, I would've said CC is a lock. Now, with the double-double streak, if Angel gets her team into the playoffs, I don't think CC will get it. I know Colin doesn't care, but the turnovers might be her undoing. Plus, and this is key, the coach isn't doing her any favors by pulling her off the court at the end of games for defensive purposes.

Caitlin is responsible for more points (points and assists) than any other player in the WNBA.

1) Mentally - Larry Bird and those guys made less money and played through injuries.
2) Physically - Defensive players could hand-check and practically tackle offensive players. No flopping!
3) Fundamentals - Players can now palm the ball, travel, and lean in without a charge called.
Conclusion - The 1992 Dream Team had the greatest team defense in history and the greatest team passing in history. They easily beat any modern team by 30 points, and by 60 points if they half-court press and full-court press the entire game.
Only here because of the Caitlin Clark Headline. Couldn’t care less about NBA Olympics News.

Bird was only on the team for his legacy. The Dream Team was not about Bird. He was 35 and considered ancient. Everyone else was in their absolute prime, between ages 26-30, except Magic was 32 and of course the token Laettner was 22. Also these Hall of Famers in their prime were playing angry, with a point to prove. No one stood a remote change of a close game, let alone beating them. That same mentality is not apparent on today's team, as evidenced by yesterday's game. How do they give up 100 points?

Right they either say she turns the ball over soo much or her defense is bad. To be fair her effort can be horrible at times on defense I can't lie. But they say these things without actually watching the games and they can see half her turnovers are teammates and the other half are her bad passes.
@@90Deyon Yes, her teammates contribute to her TOs, but as a point guard you adjust your game to make better passes to them. That's what I want to see -- making good passes. She can't make three bad passes for every "highlight" pass.

about 9 years in Dwight had that back surgery and was never the same. Dwight would have still been dominant even with the league changing.
Lots of Clark’s turnovers and due to her teammates fumbling good passes because they’re not used to getting passes from others. Clark’s assists would also be higher for the same reason: teammates miss easy/open shots. I think we’ll see both of these numbers improve as this team plays together more.
All true. That said, she makes some careless, lazy passes, and is too often lazy on defense, especially in transition. If she fixes those 2 issues she will soar.

Problem is the fever as a team sucks on defensive formations. Weak defensive formation in the strong side a lot of times. Oh and despite that, CC managed to get 5 steals. Also blocked 3 shots last game and is now number 13 on the leaderboard for blocks league wide
It's pointless to compare eras. The reason human beings are so fascinating is because we build upon the successes and knowledge of the people who came before us. Athletes are better at what they do now than in the eras before them, it is an indisputable fact. It is also an indisputable fact that we would have nothing now without the people that came before us. In 1999 Tony Hawk, arguably the greatest pro skater of all time landed a 900 for the first time after trying countless times and failing. Now there is a 9-year-old Japanese boy that can throw down three of them in a row like its nothing. There is no need to compare eras. Let them stand on their own and acknowledge the reality that we are better now because of those that came before us.

Ewing, awful on pick n roll defense. MJ and Pippen were the first wing players to expose that era’s bigs were too slow to defend in space. Instead of getting dunked on, they fouled. Ewing does have a hefty highlight reel of getting dunked on. All 3 of the Georgetown centers do. Great for the era, but that era was undeveloped skill wise and with do it all wings.
