I've recently learned of Mr. Flipper's story and find it so inspiring. I teach US History (high school level) and am looking forward to incorporating his story into my curriculum. A talented screenwriter could turn his story into an incredible film.

can you imagine going through all of the ugly shameful disrespect and other things from people who think they are quote unquote better than you are. So proud of this man along with countless others.

Thanks, USMA! Great job. I, too, promote the legacy of Henry O. Flipper with my play dramatizing his 1881 trial.

"Americans always do the right thing...after exhausting every other option first." -Winston Churchill
The U.S. almost always waits at least 50 years to put right what it has done wrong.
It took almost 100 years for the Army to award the late Henry Johnson of the 369th Harlem Hellfighters the Congressional Medal of Honor for keeping the Germans from winning the First World War.
