Schlitterbahn kansas city sucks anyway. Not like Texas water park. Just look at it. It has nothing. Location sucks. People under 18. Shouldnt ride it. People just dont think. This park sucked even with the ride.

This ride should have been taken down a long time ago!! Just a painfull reminder of that tragic day. Never should have been built in the first place and definitely should have not been built for children! They should NEVER have let that little boy go down that slide.

@@rebertroodbol5572 Of course! It was the parents' fault! It's always someone else's fault, isn't it? It obviously can never be the fault of those who constructed this insanely dangerous ride, can it? And of course, if it had been you who had lost a loved one on this ride then you obviously wouldn't want to sue the makers and the owners for every single cent they had, would you? Now, you just think for one very short moment how _you_ would feel if you had lost a child on this appalling ride. Your callousness and lack of empathy is shocking. You must be mental.

That's simply not true. He was within the age, height, and weight limit for the ride. This was a slide plagued with issues from the start. First, it was supossed to be built in Texas but they were told no, so they went to Kansas that had a self regulation policy. Engineers told them multiple times this wasn't a good idea, they disregarded the advice. The ride had a history of rafts going airborne and injuring guests. Right before it opened the park dropped the minimum age requirement of 14...literally the night before. Operators for the ride had said the only safety tests they ever did was the send employees down the slide before park opening and that employee concerns about problematic breaks and other mechanical issues were routinely dismissed. The day off the accident, the raft was loaded improperly and the incorrect weight distribution is what caused the raft to slam Caleb into the metal netting and decapitate him...
The general public, including this family, were under the impression the ride was safe for all ages due to what the park told them. The people who built and maintained the ride are completely to,blame for Calebs death. This wasnt an accident or pushy parents. This was negligence and greed.
Typically, amusement park rides are super safe and accidents are few and far between. This particular slide was just somthing that never should have been built and the park owner used a loophole on Kansas safety law to get it done... It's ridiculous to suggest with literally no evidence that the father was belligerent or that his actions led in anyway to his sons death. He and his wife werent even with the boys when they went to the ride, they allowed them to go together and were at another space in the park with their other children. So how exactly was he belligerent to ride operators that he never interacted with?

The engineers need to pay for designing this death trap & definitely should be criminally charged

Scarlet Moonlight that’s the problem. There were no engineers. If engineers designed it, it might have been safe. 😡
