I saw Luther 7 times and I still owe him money because he was just that marvelous and gave his fans more than what we paid for. He was respectful towards his fans. He started his concerts on time. He was Mr. Showmanship. His background singers on stage and even those that were sitting on the stools as well as his band performed at height no one in the industry to date can touch.

Actually there were 2 sets of background singers to achieve a fuller sound without technology. These are the leads. The 2nd set sat with the orchestra and were rarely seen. All were dynamic and could hold their own. Luther demanded and only worked with the best.

Seeing Luther peforme live was one of the highlights of my life, loved and truely missed.
I discovered Luther as a very young high school boy in the 80s back in a small Kenyan town. I've never stopped listening to him. Luther, MJ, Whitney and a few others can never be replaced.

This was outstanding!, Luther didn’t care to prove his music was too straight or too gay, it’s music for everyone all in one on who you love in your life. This era of music tries to prove too much of one side than the other. Just make good music for everyone to enjoy.

Pure unfiltered raw talent, no auto tune,voicebox or computer generated bullshit,REAL musicians,real singers all in harmony and sync in other words the real deal and it's rare that we get a chance to witness greatness as such and i thank God i had the PRIVILEGE to see him live up close and personal and he sounded exactly like he did in the studio very few and i mean very few performers can even come close to perfection and sound just like the record they release for radio play especially live in concert but the late great Mr. Vandross did,just one of the things i miss about him
