Ofc depending where you live but here average cars are some 1.6 - 2.1 litre ones that might go just under 10s to 0-100km/h if even that while BRZ goes at least near 7s I believe. So compared to that (or to the previous Nissan) it can be defined sort of "fast" I think in that situation.

They charge tax off engine size and capacity, i'd give a rough gauge of say, 8.2M USD? (bearing in mind list price for it is 2M~ USD). But i don't think it's legal in Singapore anyway so hahas.

Petar Petrovic the wages are at least double the US, (most of my friends are >$US200 to 400k pa, the tax rates are no more than 10-20%, and you pay them annually. If you leave the country you get your superannuation back and it has among the lowest crime rates in the world.

However, the moral of a story isn't to justify the high taxing of cars in Singapore because of their high standard but to lower tax in the USA to, no more then 15% and subsequently the wages will rise to much higher level then they are now. That's the winning ticket ;-) Agree?

Singapore is an overcrowded, tiny island with limited space and excellent public transportation. Personal transport isn't really necessary there. it seems unfair but it's pragmatic if you really think about it.
You can also import a car from a country with normal prices.It doesn't matter.Unless they ban imports :)

yea Singapore car prices a little bit higher than Malaysia(which already super expansive enough). I think the tax for the car is like 80-110% of the manufacturing price, and yes that's the real number or maybe even higher nowadays.
