Best video on Litematica I've found! Instant sub! I have been playing with it for a few days now, but had trouble placing the blocks when building the house I made, turned out to be a total nightmare! I ended up just building it myself lol But I will try again.
Just got it yesterday and this is so nice I can even see from point a to b how many blocks I would need to break in survival

This is absolutely amazing. I knew most of it, but still there where a lot of awesome tips that I can now use to perfect my litematica use. Only problem I got is that I play on an anarchy server and 90% of my keyboard is reserved for hack client modules that I can toggle on and off, even the number pad 😅

The worst thing and only issue about this is schematics that have directional blocks, like stairs or wood, placing them properly is a nightmare
Just don't tap modified keys on your keyboard like shift, ctrl, and alt
I just finished a complex map on a server and that was a nightmare

Is it possible to highlight only one block type in the schematic so if its build out of stone and stone bricks then i only want to see stone is that possible?
I alway use translucent view and bound num7 to toggleOverlayRendering and togglePlacementBoxesRendering so I can turn off the annoying blue overlay and just focus on the blocks I have to place

I can never UNSEE that minecolonies it nothing but this mod with walking avatars pretend placing blocks.
i am unable to place the wrong blocks inside the schematic, if i click the middle button of the mouse (which is my key bind for placing blocks) it just selects the block i'm looking at in the schematic (which i have a separate key bind for, the right click), idk what to do cuz i'm building a ship in the ocean and water is a part of the schematic, i've drained out the part where i need to build and it doesn't let me build blocks that i need to stand on to build the floating base
when trying to select what block i want to use for the fill tool, im using the hotkey you specified but i dont get " Block: Grass Block" in the bottom right when using alt middle click?

I am trying to replace a log with another log but it does not replace log 1 in the same orientation. That is, log 1 has the bark side in the horizontal but log 2 comes out in the facing position.
Having difficulties with placing schematic in server. Executeoperation breaks blue lighted blocks that make my iron farm not functioning. So i cant use simple mode?

Add a marker block (like a piece of wool or some other block that you are not using for the build) in the corner of the schematic, then place the schematic in the same place using that block as the reference. The easiest way I have found so far

Why won’t it let me delete the selection box
Numpad hotkeys are all set exactly like yours but only some of them are working. Another commenter suggested changing selection mode from Simple to Normal, but that also does nothing. Does anyone else have this issue? For example, Numpad 1 and 2 do nothing when I press them, but 3 does open the Save Schematic gui.
Ok made some progress: the numpad 1 and 2 buttons only work after you have gone to M > Area Selection browser > New selection > and create and name a new Area Selection. You have to name a selection first before you can actually set or delete a selection.

No matter what I try, I can't get the area selection box out of my world, I have tried setting keybinds going through all of the menus and manually removing it and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
RESOLVED
If you want use this hotkeys, would put the selection mode in "Normal".
To create a new area press "KP_1" or default keys "M+A"
To delete an exist area press "KP_2" or you default keys.

LEFT HANDED PLAYERS! One of the most maddening things about Litematica is numerous other mods is that whenever a presenter says to hit the, "Shift Key," or the "ALT Key," or "CTRL Key," they actually mean the, "Shift, ALT, or CTRL Keys on the LEFT SIDE of the keyboard only! The ones on the right DO NOT WORK.
I don't know how many times I've carefully followed a videos instructions to, "Alt-Left Click" or, "ALT-Middle Click," only to be frustrated and confused because either nothing happened or the wrong thing did, because I used the, "OTHER," CTRL, Shift or ALT keys!
I don't even mind a well-thought out set of hotkeys, that won't do me any good because I've already remapped all my movement keys to that side of the keyboard. But PLEASE, at least use the correct name for the command when you're using those hot keys. Say something like, "...then, 'execute command', by hitting the Zero Hotkey." Don't just say, "hit the zero key," and force all of us Southpaws to write down a comprehensive list of what hotkeys YOU use, so we can decipher which command you're talking about. I know you said you, "strongly recommend," using your hotkeys...but be aware that not all of us CAN.
I'm not saying this to nitpick. This is a great video and has been a huge help. You've covered features that almost every other video on the subject completely skips over. I appreciate the time and effort you've taken. (Thanks for the pinned timestamps...huge help.) Just be aware that we lefties exist and bear it in mind when you're making videos in the future.

You could copy it in smaller sections, idk if there’s an option to paste segments tho

I had the same issue and i fixed it so easily you won't believe it. So what you need to do is in the M Menu, make sure you have the option "Area Selection Mode: Normal" and NOT like "Area Selection Mode: Simple". You see it will work fine.

I set deleteSelectionBox keybind to "ALT + 2", but when I press the hotkey my item bar jumps to slot 2 instead of deleting the selection box. Why? Also my in game item bar keybind is "2", not "ALT + 2". Same issue for "ALT + 1", but oddly "ALT + 3" works...???

You gotta set a keybind for the "easyPlaceUseKey" and "easyPlaceToggle". set easyPlaceUseKey to whatever button you use to place blocks (Right mouse button/BUTTON_2).
