I thought Skijoring was a town in Iceland until now
When you ask yourself what is the horsepower, now you have one example how to experience it...
It should be in the Winter Olympics. Its been around alot longer than snowboarding
when you got great powder but no hills near you
Well, if you can;t get to a lake ...
I live in this country and i dont know half of the stuff that goes on here lol.
i found my sport
Why isn't this sport so popular and players paid a good amount of money, why do we have to watch 22 guys running after one ball and they get millions for kicking a ball in a net.
I'm getting into it, wait a few years and it will be on ESPN 8
Because it's ridiculous.

That may be fun but it's not really skijoring. Skijoring is a centuries old method of travel using a dog or dogs in conjunction with cross country skis usually, for relatively long distances. It's like dog sledding but with fewer (often one) dogs and no sled, just an XC skier. The skier also works hard just as in regular XC. For many dogs this is their favorite activity. My Border Collie goes nuts and frolics like a puppy whenever I pick up her harness, as did my Australian Shepard before her. It's a great, fun workout for both dog and skier!
Skijoring comes from the Norwegian word "skikjøring". It just means ski driving and we have done it for centuries. Our native people, the Sami people, used to have skis on and have rain deer drive them around. I would say that skijoring is just an extreme way of travel for A to B
@@karro2648 If some mechanic converted a boat to use wheels and ran it on land; then pulled someone on skis behind it ...
Leave it to Americans to bastardize anything.
They are both Skijoring, I am partial to what you describe however 😉
