I wonder what they think when they come to places like Burnley, I bet they expect bobby's on the beat and city gents in pin stripe suits and public school boys etc, and people who talk like the Royal Family. The Burnley accent is nothing like the stereotypical English accent and the houses are tiny four roomed terraced houses built in the late Victorian era, back in the 1870's to the 1890's, so it must have been a bit of a surprise to see how much of Northern England, and also Scotland, Wales and various other parts of Britain actually are in reality. Completely different from the typical image of England that many foreign visitors usually have.
You don't think they might use Google maps to have a look where they are going? I always do, I like to know where the ground is, where the stations are etc.
@@markrs2000 we know how things are up there, that not everywhere it looks like Oxford and how the decay of industry and mining made it tough for northern England, to be honest the main stereotype about the uk here is the chav behaviour that some brits have abroad, so it is quite far to the royal family high mannered people, but you know how stereotypes work…I would be afraid to hear which stereotypes you have about us up there
And Verona fans are actually quite British/hooligan style influenced, so they probably did some research as they prefer British style compact chants and clothing, opposed to the Ultras style other Italian teams have (much more similar to the Germans or the French or even the South Americans)
