I have heard that for becoming collector atleast it takes 7-8 years so how can he be collector as it has been only 5 years of his service

Actually that year Himanshu kaushik got highest 501 marks in GS but he could not secure good marks in interview that's why he got 5th rank otherwise he would have got highest marks in history.
That's a fantastic score man I have seen many cases where a candidate secured just 230in optional and 180+ in ethics/essay paper 😅😅 just insane things happens some time
