    Medium lash is better in my opinion. You don't want to be so + frames that it gives opponent time to react. Med Lash whiffs and you can immediately go into St MP, St MP meaty on their wakeup

      @@StevenPadillastick with it my friend, fighting games are rewarding as hell. As a quick rundown an attack that is meaty means that its active frames/the period in which it can hit the opponent is timed so that those active frames are on the opponents wake up from a heavy knockdown. Basically, if they are hitting any button or attack or throw other than an invincible reversal move like an OD Shoryu, they will get hit.

      @@UGXZdoes the OD shoryu become active frame 1?

    this seems like a bad idea almost all the time. if you're cornered, you'll wanna sideswitch and if you aren't, it's better to take the damage, carry and oki from run tatsu.

    As a Ryu player I must admit I’m a bit jealous of all the tools Ken has vs Ryu. I like them both but Ryu based on the movies, shows, comics is said to be the stronger fighter of the 2 but in the games he is always mid tier. I know he is designed as a basic starter character but give his normals better frames or allow them to be more linkable. Ken,Cammy, Juri, Luke, Kimberly, etc can hit you with a low jab and convert that into a 40% corner carrying combo and one wrong guess In the corner costs you the round. This is a great video with great detail! I just wish my boy Ryu could do something similar

    overhead reset does not hit meaty so on regular hit will not combo

    As a Ken player this video is great. Admittedly I’ve made it to diamond 3 without ever really using light or medium lash because I couldn’t understand why you’d use them over H that gives you all those plus frames but it’s great to see that there’s some real application for using them.

      medium you basically only use for the dragonlash loops. Idk about this one though run xx tatsu seems like a better option more corner carry, oki and damage

      @hissenguinho  Před 11 měsíci

      Yes, both right. This is even an option i rarely use but sometimes i do to vary and add mix up. You have to be very confident to use this option over better corner carry, optimal dmg and etc... but truth is that light dragonlash isnt all together useless

    How do you combo the crLP after the medium lash at 00:50? When I replicate it in training room the medium lash says it's only +3, but crLP is +4. Would love to know how so I can learn this combo!

      Dragonlash loops only works with crouching opponents

    • @ShinAkuma

      No moves force crouch.

    • @noXeFonice
      @noXeFonice Před 11 měsíci

      @claveaumichit doesn't force crouch but it's an overhead move so if the opponent is blocking on crouch he will take the hit.

      It’s to simulate your opponent mashing on wake up
