    I don't know how tall this turbine was but there is an application to install 69 of them near our home here in Australia. They will be 7MW, each one standing at 280m high and 200m wide (918 feet high and 656 feet wide) and they will be built in our beautiful rural valley a few kilometres from our our historic town from the Gold Rush era. Our region is wine, grazing and cropping country are we are blessed with just about every iconic native wildlife including endangered birds and bats. For some reason our region was selected as a Renewable Energy Zone. They are halfway through the planning stages and they are up to 800 wind turbines so far. These will be included in dozens of projects along with industrial solar. We will have hundreds of square kilometres of renewables just in our region alone. It's devastating.

    • @margaretarmstrong2445
      @margaretarmstrong2445 Před rokem

      @@stellamcwick8455 You really need to research the cradle to grave story of wind, solar and backup batteries. There is massive amounts of toxic waste every step of the way! We are mining more raw materials as a direct result of the push for renewables than at any time in man's history, particularly coal. But many of the other materials result in far worse toxic waste than coal. Manufacturing too, particularly silicon ingots for crystalline silicon solar panels leave vast amounts of toxic waste. End of life is yet to be resolved in regard to this infrastructure. Renewables have made environmental damage and human degradation far worse than any other form of energy production in the history of mankind.
