This channel first started uploading Game Grumps content back in 2014. This content is not officially associated with the Game Grumps but I got permission to run it from them way back in 2015 and even Danny said he appreciated compilation channels sharing the love. This channel has had multiple editors over time who enjoy contributing to the community, some of the content is very outdated at this point but serves as an interesting look into an older era of CZcams. Plus the content holds up and it's worth watching the old stuff. - Hry

Yes, this channel was banned for a while but I got it back after I proved to have permissible from the Grumps all the way back in 2015. Another comp channel creator who started there channel 4 years after this one had his audience mass report me.

2015-16 was an extraordinarily shitty time for misinformation and propaganda. Tons of people said really dumb stuff and have since sincerity reformed. At the time he did believe some really stupid stuff but he has pulled back a lot. He still leans right wing, but that's not an unforgivable sin.

Danny can be funny, but he never fucking says anything worth of anything. Throughout the entire process of an average game grumps session, he doesn't even say anything relevant to the game. He always talks about his boring ass stories of his life, while Jon and Arin actually had a connection, chemistry AND they actually made fucking jokes. When Danny and Arin make jokes (which is rare), the're constantly stumbling on words and the joke usually isn't funny to begin with. Fact of the matter is, there will only ever be one "not so grump", and the fact that there are so many shows on game grumps along with grumps themselves is a fucking clusterfuck.
DANNY IS THE ISSUE WITH THE FUCKING SHOW AND HIM, ALONG WITH THE OTHER GRUMPS THAT AREN'T FUNNY, NEED TO GET THE FUCK OUT

jhon smith Jon left Game Grumps because Game Grumps was becoming more of a production show rather than a side-project where two friends mess around with games. He's said he preferred working on Jontron episodes because he felt his performance was better on that type of show rather than a two episode per day kind of show. Arin supposedly wanted to expand the show with things like Steam Train, Livestreams and Steam Rolled to monetize on the channel. Jon disagreed and left. They are (despite rumors) still good friends, but can't discuss the departure for legal reasons (they signed NDAs).

The best part with the Jon era is that they actually both played, they handed the controller to eachother all the time. In the new grumps is always like "this series is exclusivly for Arin or for Dan"
It's more like "This game is exclusively for Dan, otherwise Arin will just literally play every game on the show"

After watching this compilation, I understand why I like Jon way more than I do Danny:
Danny's just way too nice.
When Arin and Jon argue, it goes for a while and gets more funny as time goes on.

I watch Game Grumps pretty regularly and have since they started. Arin doesn't seem the overall different. But, I don't read to much into things like that.
I don't have a preference of which pairing I like more, I really enjoy both. I love the outrageous moments with Jon just as much as I love the laid back stories and silliness with Dan. This is just my opinion of course.

My problem is that when John was replaced with Dan, it slowly but surely became a channel devoted to a far different audience. They also talk about drugs pretty often, and that makes me uncomfortable as well. It's just sad to know that the version of game grumps with John is gone forever, but oh well. Jon and Arin were more authentic and genuine. There was tension and disagreements at times, which can be related to and is real. Jons laugh and voice is also just hilarious and entertaining. Best grumps, Jon and Arin Grumps .

Danny and Arin have some funny moments on Grumps, but nobody will ever be able to replace Jon. The chemistry Jon and Arin had on Grumps was genuine, like their real friendship was there in every episode. Danny and Arin just sound like they deal with each other. There's no real connection between them.

Game Grumps is the best thing to watch at 3 in the morning. Being in that super-tired, lurid state while watching this show is just amazing, everything is enhanced tenfold, including the jokes.
Why are GG fans so weird? It's just some buddies sharing some laughs and enjoying games together, not some soap opera. Just enjoy the shit for what it is.

I like the Jon era for the comedy, it reminds me of my friends and I. However, I'm also a fan of the Dan era. The life stories and wholesome feel of his chemistry with Arin is just so genuine. I just appreciate them both from different reasons.
I knew about gamegrumps because of Jontron, i still remember the first time i saw the first episode.
I dont even knew who was egoraptor but with the time, he won a piece of my heart too.
Then Barry came up, he was like that god-like presence, you hear so much about it but you can never see him.
It was a happy family *sniif* *sniff*, but Jon had to move on...
I was devastated, and then Arin was saying that Danny was gonna be the replacement, it was so fast.
I was salty about it, i understand that jon WANTED to move on, but Arin continued the show immediately after jon departure.
After a few months, i give Dan a chance and started to watch game grumps again, but it didn't feel so great like Jon era. Now, theyre so many people, and its not even so funny in my opinion.
Disclaimer: I dont hate anyone in the grumps, its just that i dont like the new program.

I mean, let's be honest, the magic was gone even before Jon left. It was already starting to take up too much of his time to do other internet things and making him want to leave. But still...
It hurts knowing this magic will never return. Two buddies with good comedic sense just hanging out, being natural and having a blast with old childhood memories.

I don't think Game Grumps will ever be as good as it was with Jon and Arin at the helm. I felt that even when Jon and Arin didn't agree or whatever this always made them stronger, because their chemistry seemed so natural. For example, when they disagreed about Fox and Wolf in the Smash episodes. They were always willing to get mad at each other and make super real jokes. I felt that even when you could tell they were annoyed with each other or whatnot (towards the end of Sonic 06 especially) it just always worked because there were no facades. It feels like with Danny and Arin though they try to be more polite, and as a result it feels less real. It feels more like theatrics rather than two friends just sitting down and playing games, letting us observe their very real conversations.
I found Game Grumps about a month ago-ish. I came being pretty into JonTron.
Dan Era) Dan and Arin are perfectly fine on their own, honestly. The more I watch, the more I like Dan. Arin is Ok.
Jon Era) Arin was definitely better to listen to and more lively etc. To be fair though 3 years of GG will change a person. Even if the job is awesome. Being a new fan of JonTron finding his GG material is like a dream come true as he's so awesome. He's really like his best self. They're so happy in the Jon Era.
Out of both, I prefer the Jon Era overall as its more lively and fun. Like, with Dan and Arin, even what they talk about isn't too interesting.
