- Get to the adversary, dont take the knife, fight her and dont give up. If u choose the die option you will get the voice of the broken instead of contrarian ( although the dialogue will be different than with the tower route). Thanks to flameboi for the suggestion
Feel free to ask for specific endings cause ill do them randomly. :)
Thank you for watching :3
((Dialogue was skipped at the end cause didn't expect this video to be watched that much and i had already done the route with the tower so sorry about that
The dialogue at the end was skipped since I already had done this ending before and was expecting the same amount of views as the other ending. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@@seanandre4432 wish he would have never stopped until the princess gave up
@@lordescanor8232That 1 oxygen atom attacking you rn:
@@seanandre4432I think he stopped because he already knew he wouldn't be able to hurt her since his body is literally mangled. He won't be able to even punch her. So he went for a reset so he can have his body back to normal again.
I like how in the end of chapter 2, her fear was more FOR you than OF you. She legitimately cared that you were mangled so much that even her love of a good fight couldn't keep up.
I love how she describes the act of ending you as "putting you out of your misery" instead of just promising to kill you. It's a great detail that shows this point.
Puts a nice perspective on the Adversary and what her values are. Even though she sees the concept of death as winning or losing, she still has enough decency to at least make it quick if she can. She won't leave us to just bleed out slowly on the ground. She doesn't WANT you to suffer.
"Narrator turn off my pain inhibitors"
"But Stubborn that's insane-"
"Do it"
It's unfortunate chapter 2 leads to that chapter 3. I feel like the stubborn forcing you to keep getting up should've led to a different chapter where that fear she showed worsened, the fear that you would remain stubborn and keeping coming back, to choke the life out of her and make it slow, and no matter how strong she would be it would never be enough, because he would always come back.
I would’ve loved to see that, the whole games fear dynamic flipped
@@nerd9777 we'll hopefully get that with The Pristine Cut
If we do thatll be great @@SirFooplesTheThird

Same, this series of events is my perspnal favourite Chapter 2, so it's unfortunate where it leads.
I honestly wish you could keep refusing to die. Imagine if you were allowed to keep going, past the point where you're nothing more than a pile of sludge, but you just. Keep. *Attacking.* With all the same ferocity. Perhaps even more.
Meat slime attacks you!
Princess: "What the actual fuck is this game?!"
... But it refused.
This is effectively a possible route in Arms Race.
I imagine he would just become a soul without flesh and she can't even do anything to hit him.
@@elusivedesert8530undertale!
Personally, I think The Fury should've been kept exclusive to The Tower. It makes more sense - she was a god, and we made her fall. Here, she's gone from wanting a fight to wanting to kill you. It also doesn't explain how she's able to do... THAT to you.
I think it would've been better if it was an alternate route to The Eye of the Needle, where her bloodlust is replaced by fear. Fear of us being ACTUALLY unkillable. It would've been more interesting, but that's just my thoughts.
I would have liked an alternate end where chapter 3 was someone fighting you out of fear, but I think we can explain this route in story.
Here she legitimately cared you were so mangled that she was both afraid of you and for you. She cared enough to mercy kill you. And to do that she had to damage your body to the point nothing could come back. That probably meant stomping you to the point your just slurry with no structural way to stand up.
Her next incarnation into the fury was due to A) someone with no compassion for your suffering.
B) A reflection of how damaged you were
C) And someone who could render you so structurally damaged you couldn't self resurrect at all. That's why you unraveled into a pile of stew meat.
@@RequiemPoete the thing is, the princess' evolutions are usually based on her feelings in the chapter before.
The princess enjoyed fighting us in chapter one, so she becomes The Adversary. She's then disappointed in your performance fighting her and her desire for a good fight is further amplified to the point of insanity in The Eye of the Needle.
We can see this formula in the other routes. The princess loving you -> The Damsel -> The grey (fire), the princess seeing herself as above you -> The Tower -> The Apotheosis, etc, etc.
In this specific route, she's genuinely afraid both OF you and FOR you. She doesn't have the hate or feelings of superiority that would make her become The Fury. The Fury has NO fear of you, and barely even resembles The Adversary. I feel like they made this route diverge into The Fury because they didn't know how to write it in a way they liked, so they simply compromised and made "something awaken in her" when she finished you off.
@Oridna_Vena I mean out of world, you're exactly right. They probably thought of this near the end of the development and had to fit it in. However since the game shows us this happens, there's an in game explanation. Maybe her emotional transformation is due to her guilt and self loathing at putting you down. The last two fights were anything but honorable combat and you force her to engage. I could see that mutating into the fury. Now, is this a perfect explanation? No, I'm just throwing out a best fit for what the game itself gives us.
@@RequiemPoete fortunately, the developers haven't just stopped now that the game is out. They have a DLC planned and might come back to remedy this, as it's quite the plot hole.
@@VeraVemaVena I thought it was based on how we see her in the chapter before, not her feelings? That's why when we think she's hiding something, she's hiding something. I'm pretty sure that was explained, and that's why the narrator always tries to convince us that she's *just* a princess and nothing more.
I heard Contrarian, so here I am, ready for our boy
Eh, too less Screen time, but a fine Video nonetheless. Another new thing discovered
@@markus3840 its mostly just a dialogue change with 1 voice and the princess because of the route but still nice to see the varations

Not gonna lie, seeing the Adversary kinda worried face and decision to mercy kill you kinda makes her cute.

For me i don't think this should have lead to the fury. I know the Adversary is supposed to be a the opposite side of the coin to the Tower, but i feel like the Adversary couldn't turn into the fury from the way she was acting. she was too afraid and sad for it to turn to anger like that. i think a better road to go down would to do something like the 2 different Gray routes, and instead of calling her the Fury, maybe call her something like: the Ruined. You have the current Fury route for the Tower's Ruined with a dress made of skin, but for the Adversary, maybe like a dress made of stone and she's lost her will to fight. i don't know, i'm just spit balling here.
Hopefully the DLC will come with a rework of this Route.
I wish it didn't lead to The Fury chapter. Even violent as she was, The Adversary felt BAD for us. She was SCARED of us. I think there could be so much more than just The Fury. The Fury suits The Tower, not The Adversary. But it's only my humble opinion. Devs prolly had a reason to do so...
with pristine cut on the way sometime in 2024, maybe there will be a more fitting chapter added
@@gramfero I really hope so
I mean it does suit the Adversary but only if you die instead getting up or if run away from her. Both choices give you Broken. This one and the one where she goes "What am I supposed to do without you?" give you contrarian and would work better with a smaller version of her who is either skittish or depressed depending on the choices you made.
stubborn being so... well, stubborn is so goofy how hes forcing our/his body to keep going despite it wanting to physically give up i wish we couldve yk kept going with that for a few more times before hero eventually yk took control maybe and MADE him stop or until we just physically couldnt move anymore till we were basically mud, i also like how contrarian responded to his fit of rage like a older sibling telling the youngest they knew their plan wouldnt work out from the start lmao
You are filled with DETERMINATION
Funny enough, this is a perfect comparison. You’re too stubborn to die even if there’s literally no way you can win. You’re too DETERMINED. (kinda like the Undyne fight if you think abt it)

fury doesn't really make sense in this context
like what, she was so scared of not being able to kill you she looped around to being able to one shot?
I mean if you don't get up it makes more sense.
This Fury always felt disappointing. It should have been more like the thorn, a moment of compassion and calm
No it works, especially if you consider it also comes from the Tower and there are other more fitting choices that lead to it via the Adversary, where you get Broken. What doesn't work are the choices that get you Contrarian since they feel out of place with everything, as well as the fact that chapter's very short anyway.
Fortunately it's getting an overhaul in the pristine Cut update, so I'm expecting some other changes as well

Is it possible to get the fury twice in one playthrough?
Nope
Good one
I've not gone down to the Fury without a blade yet. I am hoping there's a way I can mellow her out of killing me. Just like there's a way to make the Witch regret betraying you.
What happens when you touch your face at around 8:13?
Princess: You don't. I don't even know how you're talking to me!
Narrator: You raise your hand and touch the front of your head. She's... not wrong
Hero: What?!?!? What did she do? What are we missing?
Stubborn: Who cares if we're missing our face? We can fight just fine without one.
Like another comment said, it would be neat if we kept it up, to the point where our perception makes her smaller, resulting in *us* putting her in a little guilded birdcage.
The Harpy?
Lol, kinda like that characteristic of stubborn voice.

Is it possible to get that getting up over and over again until Stubborn gives up thing _with_ the knife?
It is, but the outcome is different.
With the blade, you're more on her level so you both come back to life for more fighting. Eventually, it takes... an interesting turn thematically. Against the narrator's protests you convince yourself that the princess can't die, thereby rendering both of you immortal. Then you enter an endless repeating loop of fighting, dying, coming back to life, fighting, dying, etc. Then the route ends.

The fury is my least favorite chapter. Great potential, but every decision leads to guts.
