Get to the adversary, dont take the knife, fight her and dont give up. If u choose the die option you will get the voice of the broken instead of contrarian ( although the dialogue will be different than with the tower route). You can get the same ending (and voices) with the adversary by not taking the knife and running away or fight her barehanded. If u run upstaire dont take the knife if you fight her give up and die. Funkytown
Furry fury
Like another comment said, it would be neat if we kept it up, to the point where our perception makes her smaller, resulting in *us* putting her in a little guilded birdcage. The Harpy?
6:00 LEEEEROOOOY JEEEEENKINS XD
My friend just went into the game blind and did Apotheosis as his first vessel and he asked me "did I take too much weed or did that just actually happen"
I didn't hear no bell...or anything. I think the brain damage has deafened me.
The fury is my least favorite chapter. Great potential, but every decision leads to guts.
Would
I've not gone down to the Fury without a blade yet. I am hoping there's a way I can mellow her out of killing me. Just like there's a way to make the Witch regret betraying you.
All the voices in chapter 4: KNIFE WIFE!!!
My boy learned RCT 😭😭😭
And Mark managed to fuck this ending up too. Just take the head Markiplier!
What happens if you leave her behind after the decapitation?
You get the drowned grey chapter 3.
@@bresbyUntil the pristine cut comes out. Then it will lead to a new chapter 3
If you think about it, The voice of the cheated is more fitting than the voice of the paranoid during th apotheosis chapter cause all the voices (minus the broken) sound more mad she managed to kill them then scared up until the narrator let slip that she is a creature of perception.
He’s basically here to counter the brokens ability to give control of their body to the princess.
To be fair this feels as if both the skeptic and the princess were plotting to fool me and it worked, i 200% though she was though and i just wanted to bury her.
never in my life had i felt so decieved than by the prisoner i cant explain you just gotta understand it sorry narrator cause your doomed and screw off princess
Is it possible to get that getting up over and over again until Stubborn gives up thing _with_ the knife?
It is, but the outcome is different. With the blade, you're more on her level so you both come back to life for more fighting. Eventually, it takes... an interesting turn thematically. Against the narrator's protests you convince yourself that the princess can't die, thereby rendering both of you immortal. Then you enter an endless repeating loop of fighting, dying, coming back to life, fighting, dying, etc. Then the route ends.
Listen I know the Broken is just…like that, mopey, but I still wanna hug him when he starts crying. Also the deadpan “I think he’s upset.” (BROKEN’S WAILING INTENSIFIES) *Pfft-*
21:08 timestamp
"Narrator turn off my pain inhibitors" "But Stubborn that's insane-" "Do it"
Naahh I wanted Stubborn to continue the nuh uh attitude

I'm scaroused.
She think she is Mimir
This one was my first and also my favorite
Cheated is up there in my favorite voices lmaooo he said NO FUCK THAT REPETITIVE NARRATIVE 😂😂
Based on hiw the voice of the hero talks, I think he is a mix of both the narrator and the long quiet . As an echo of our captor he wants to save the world but as the other half of the shifting mound he doesn't want to kill the princess.
I heard a theory that "hero" and "princess" are concepts of the simulation the Narrator couldn't shape or change. TLQ always sees SM as a princess, something regal yet attainable that he needs to get to. Meanwhile SM sees TLQ as her hero, in every route, no matter what he does, she still sees a hero in him. And well, the voice of the hero knows he's supposed to be a hero, but doesn't know what that means exactly because he has no memories, so he rationalizes it from his nature as a hero. "saving the world is a hero thing to do, right? Even.. even if that means killing a princess?"
A man literally too stubborn to die
Lol, kinda like that characteristic of stubborn voice.
I had liked it until the skipping.
I love how in this ending, a single arm takes the vessel instead of multiple.
*snatch*
My absolute least favorite ending. She does the exact same thing if you just don’t take her head out after she kills her self. She gives you no instruction, doesn’t even allude to her plan and then gets mad at you that you didn’t do a weird thing by taking her head as a trophy.
I think there is a potential to get from there to a third chapter where both the prisoner princess and the voice of the sceptic try to get to the bottom of things.
@@stanisawzokiewski3308We already have The Wild though
Firstly, it's obvious she winked at you while dying; Skeptic even says as much. The whole point is you figure out she's still alive without the Narrator knowing you plan even in the slightest. Secondly, the voices do allude to her decision but otherwise contend we left her, and she even says "You were supposed to take me with you. Didn't I ask you for help? This isn't help." Thirdly, that said, they've hinted they're going to amend this in the Pristine Cut by creating a new Grey.
I heard the Pristine Cut is going to change that. Killing Prisoner leads you ONLY to the Drowned Grey while there will be a new route for Prisoner if you don't take her severed head.
@@reubensalter8125New Grey?? Sign me the fuck up 👀
Definitely the most smart/clever part of the Shifting Mound’s multitudes.
Stubborn a real one I ain't dying like a bitch
10:06 We’re Invincible 10:19 *Grumbling Noise*
9:21 Do I really need to explain myself? Tiny Edit: 19:00 Once again, do I _really_ need to explain myself?
stubborn being so... well, stubborn is so goofy how hes forcing our/his body to keep going despite it wanting to physically give up i wish we couldve yk kept going with that for a few more times before hero eventually yk took control maybe and MADE him stop or until we just physically couldnt move anymore till we were basically mud, i also like how contrarian responded to his fit of rage like a older sibling telling the youngest they knew their plan wouldnt work out from the start lmao
While this ending is very short and arguably disappointing the one thing I like is what it implies Hell, the Princess became so big and so grand she literally got a gravity field as a stellar object
I think they said this was one of the routes that was getting more attention in the Pristine Cut DLC
@@reubensalter8125 I think a few of the extreme Chapter 3 ones do. Like the Fury as well. Admittingly, I feel like the Fury could need... A change in terms of conditions. The Advnersary turning into The Fury when killed makes NO SENSE. The Adversary wants a good fight to the death so why would she be mad for getting it?
@@GameBreaker1055 I'm pretty sure she gets taken by the hands if that happens. She only turns into the Fury if you fight her unarmed and keep coming back to life (which makes even less sense) or if you continually refuse to fight her (which does make sense, given the only thing left for her to fight is herself). Also the only ones getting any changes (to everyone's knowledge) are the ones that have very little content: Fury; Apotheosis; Den. Additionally second chapters the Spectre, Damsel and Prisoner will getting new content as well (though I don't think as much). And we'll be getting loads of new routes as well.
@@reubensalter8125 I think she turns into the... Eye in the Needle if you refuse to fight or run away. But yeah, being able to beat her without a weapons makes her angry, which is just... Huh? The fury is a disfigured monster, whose skin has torn into a dress! Would using the weapons to figtht as tan advantage not make more sense for triggering the Fury?
@@GameBreaker1055 No I'm pretty going in for the fight head first blade in hand is what gets you the Eye of the Needle, as she's able to gain the upper hand quite easily and kill you shortly after. And it's not running away, it's more freeing her against her will that also gets you that route. And for the next part, fighting without the blade doesn't make her angry, it makes her afraid for you, rather than of you. Which is why instead of the Fury they should make her turn into a broken-eqsue princess who doesn't want to fight and instead pledges herself to you ala the Tower. Also if you refuse to fight her, she's not angry, just disappointed. But disappointment can easily give way to anger if left unaddressed, and that anger shows on her becaise of our perspective, and that's why that Fury transition works better. And no, the Fury transition you suggested wouldn't work because by having the blade you're giving her what she wants - a challenge. She has no need to get angry and deny you victory if you give her a real challenge
"There will be blood! Shed! A man in the mirror nods his head..."
fury doesn't really make sense in this context like what, she was so scared of not being able to kill you she looped around to being able to one shot?
I mean if you don't get up it makes more sense.
stubborn mf sounds irish/scottish
I wish it didn't lead to The Fury chapter. Even violent as she was, The Adversary felt BAD for us. She was SCARED of us. I think there could be so much more than just The Fury. The Fury suits The Tower, not The Adversary. But it's only my humble opinion. Devs prolly had a reason to do so...
with pristine cut on the way sometime in 2024, maybe there will be a more fitting chapter added
@@gramfero I really hope so
I mean it does suit the Adversary but only if you die instead getting up or if run away from her. Both choices give you Broken. This one and the one where she goes "What am I supposed to do without you?" give you contrarian and would work better with a smaller version of her who is either skittish or depressed depending on the choices you made.
This was actually my first complete route and I got so confused seeing the shifting mound show up at the end I audibly shouted
This Fury always felt disappointing. It should have been more like the thorn, a moment of compassion and calm
No it works, especially if you consider it also comes from the Tower and there are other more fitting choices that lead to it via the Adversary, where you get Broken. What doesn't work are the choices that get you Contrarian since they feel out of place with everything, as well as the fact that chapter's very short anyway. Fortunately it's getting an overhaul in the pristine Cut update, so I'm expecting some other changes as well
For me i don't think this should have lead to the fury. I know the Adversary is supposed to be a the opposite side of the coin to the Tower, but i feel like the Adversary couldn't turn into the fury from the way she was acting. she was too afraid and sad for it to turn to anger like that. i think a better road to go down would to do something like the 2 different Gray routes, and instead of calling her the Fury, maybe call her something like: the Ruined. You have the current Fury route for the Tower's Ruined with a dress made of skin, but for the Adversary, maybe like a dress made of stone and she's lost her will to fight. i don't know, i'm just spit balling here.
Hopefully the DLC will come with a rework of this Route.
Out of all the playthroughs I’ve watched, I haven’t seen the ending where the player chooses to slay the Shifting Mound. It’s heartrending though not agony.
on some level i feel like everyone understood that a world without change would be worse than a world being stuck in a cycle of life and death
What happens when you touch your face at around 8:13?
Princess: You don't. I don't even know how you're talking to me! Narrator: You raise your hand and touch the front of your head. She's... not wrong Hero: What?!?!? What did she do? What are we missing? Stubborn: Who cares if we're missing our face? We can fight just fine without one.
Thank for uploading this
Good one
She gave us a head! How nice of her.
Smitten would be proud
Shouldve been me.
You know, this interactive story, despite having a quite simple design while looking at it outward, has some genuine moments of real horror. My first being seeing those hands claim your first princess. But this one being a close second due it being out of nowhere and her being so casual about it.
