The brake fluid needs changing. Also best using old pads and screwdriver to push pistons in order t not damage new ones

Sir From the video i thinks
That at the front rc 390 uses
    4 piston fixed caliper setup
    While in the rear
It uses a floating caliper setup
    With double piston
    Am i correct

Dude - I got my motorcycle washed from a car wash center nearby and then they applied some polish to make it look squeaky clean and new...and while that worked, i don't know what has happened, my brakes, both front and rear have lost almost all of its stopping potential...it's not air I can assure you....so no bleeding that is required....there's feedback on the levers, but i get no bite even while applying full force.
Can you suggest me whats gone wrong? and mine is a new motorcycle, just 3 months old and i've only clocked 2.5K KMs...
Please advice, I have a 250 Duke BS6 that comes with the 390 LED headlight unit....

I know this is old but it's likely some kind of wax that was used. I'd clean it off w brake cleaner and see if that helps get rid of the wax.

Yo you might need to bleed the brake. So you can achieve higher pressure 😉

Bro its normal brake pads made with normal metal which are recommended for duke 200 or Rc 200 or bajaj vehicles..
But u can use it for 390 series aswell
Only difference is sharpness of stopping power
U can get it in any ktm or bajaj service centre

Waste brake pads, use brembo sintered brake pads for the best.. Costs you around 3k

  • @mattbello-baamonde3314
    @mattbello-baamonde3314 Před 4 lety +3

Ok.... So you achieved your goal of changing your pads but remember that’s only one part of your braking system.
Your brake fluid (Which is fucked by the way) also needs doing.
Also, I do t who which chimp you learned from, but you never EVER force dirty pistons back through the seals unless you want them to be damaged.
Corrosion, road crud and other crap will tear your seals to bits if it’s hard enough.
You need to pump out your pistons 3-4mm and clean that crap off. Then you can push them home with your fingers.
Lastly, don’t fit your new pads and then lever off the brand new friction material.
It’s tough for compression and wear, but it’s not designed for this and is quite brittle. You can easily compromise the integrity of the friction material by doing that.
    That just plain stupid.
