He is the ideology of what a human should be, not all the good in humanity. That's why Goku's my favorite superhero and not Superman because of the fact that Goku isn't a hero and isn't some stupid ideology. You can't say that someone is more powerful than another because one of them is an ideology. There are many of those. Goku is a reference of Sun Wukong who is a real life ideology. Marvel entities are abstracts and as such are concepts and ideologies. You can't use the ideology argument to justify your claims.

OK, but he can't fly, survive in space or the sun. Superman could just toss him into the sun in attoseconds, effortlessly I might add. Then use the sun to turn into a god. It only takes like 15 mins.

I usually gauge how powerful a hero is by the sheer number of devices invented to reduce, rob/limit their powers or place them in danger. For Supes, it's multiple versions of kryptonite, inability to see through lead, red sun energy, dependence on the yellow sun, weakness against magic, etc. In other words, writers had to come up with several devices to place Superman in challenging situations.
Is Superman the most powerful superhero? Only if the writers want him to be this week.

My favorite Superman stories is the ones that shows how human he is, referring to himself as Clark before Kal. Showing that he’s a man first before he’s a god. And it’s often why when he does go bad it’s because he starts treating himself as a god rather than the man he is. “What do you get the man who has everything” is one of my Superman stories from Justice League Unlimited.

I do believe the flash is the most powerful hero. He is immune to death and erasure from reality. He’s also faster than infinite speed. His infinite mass punch could technically be infinitely powerful because of his over infinite speed.
That’s why Superman sees him as an equal, but the boss is still the boss
Superman’s entire character is overcoming any challenge, any villain, any monster, he is a literal beacon of hope. As he said “what he is” is someone who is limitless.

I know super man is the strongest and he cant die. But the same could be said about the flash, if he reaches a certain speed he could punch the hulk to the moon (dont deny it its true). Also superman is kind of boring because he is overpowered and cant feel pain, his only two real challenges are Lex and Braniac. The flash has... too many to say. Anyway thats why i like the flash more then superman.

I disagree that Superman is not relatable. I find him infinitely more relatable than other superheroes. He comes from a small town, visit his folks (depending on their current living status) has problems getting a woman he likes to like him back. He's not a god, that the reason for Clark Kent. He doesn't want to be a god. He wants to live a normal human life with us, but he also wants to use his powers to help us when and where he can.

When Superman wants to, he perform feats that not only break the laws of physics, but even the laws of logic, like lifting infinite weight, or "lifting" time, or punching so hard that he breaks "dimensions" apart, where each dimension is a "timeline" containing an infinite number of Multiverses and realities. Most recently, he one-shot the Crreator of the Multiverse. He actually flew so fast that he moved faster than even the concept of speed. Light was actually completely frozen to him. He actually arrived at the destination billions of light-years away even before he left.

Ben (who uses the main Alien X) has managed to gain full control of the being and is basically unstoppable as he can literally will things into existence, bend the elements to his will, create universes for protection, reverse time, and his Psychic powers are off the charts as he’s been able to split himself into dozens of copies all doing different things, or even more when he took control of an entire enemy army to stop them from winning.

Also I think it's that superman has gotten to us very deeply culturally. Boy scout fight for good and powers like invulnerability. He has become a standard against which other heroes are measured.

As with most comics the heroes are what the story needs them to be. That's why when you start looking at power levels and who can beat who it can break down a lot because of basically plot points and armour that are needed for the stories to be interesting.

I definitely agree with this video. Except for the part about the speed. When you look back at the original comics Superman has accomplished more and gone farther with speed than flash ever has or could. And also through the years after the original writers of Superman were fired for making him too powerful, the “alternate” writers had to keep changing Superman in order to make new super heroes. Too make other super heroes look you have to take away from the greatest. The only superhero they didn’t have to change Superman for, originally because now they have to make the latest series and movies, was Batman because they went a totally different direction with him and made him his own type of hero. So really the argument could be made that the only true heroes with original story lines are Superman and Batman.
I personally disagree because:
1) The Flash and Martian Manhunter could beat him
2) He was not made to simply be overpowered or as a god amongst men, he was made to be a symbol of hope and that we can become better than we were meant to be, like Goku.
3) If he was meant to be overpowered, then kryptonite and magic wouldn't be a weakness to him.
4) Most of all, Batman wouldn't be able to outsmart him, and flash wouldn't be able tos speed blitz him. It's to show that every character has their limits.
But you did remember he said Kryptonite was just a plot device for the voice of the radio show Supes to get an off day. Plus magic isn't so much a weakness, so much as he has no special resistance to it.
