--Description--
Ooohyes! Had a lot of fun making the art and the visualisation in this one. Tried a more subtle approach instead of just the audio spectra ;D
This is also the first time the cap made an appearance in one of my music videos, and not just on the artwork on digital platforms :D
I'm usually pretty good at transcribing melodies, due to my violin playing background, but that experience has also left a gaping hole in my chord knowledge, and transcribing this track was incredibly challenging for me ^^;
Arrangement-wise, I tried to recreate/emulate a lot of the orchestral elements of the original with synths, as well as layering some orchestral elements like the strings and choir on top of the synths to add a bit of an organic feeling to the synthetic elements.
Synths are mainly Razor, Massive and FM8, with Chipsounds providing chiptune synths as usual. I also re-purposed/layered a lot of old synth sounds from my previous remixes with some new ones to make both the main lead and the bass pop a bit more.

I was listening to this while watching the bright lights of Manhattan at night while driving away. I will always associate this remix specifically with NYC and how amazing it is.

This was my first Mario Galaxy remix I ever listened to and first Qumu remix I've listened to. It got me back into being obsessed with Mario Galaxy and I find the song in general nostalgic and one of my all time favorite remixes to me. That's exactly what I did. After not playing that game in years the nostalgia was too much. Started crying when I heard Good Egg's theme for the first time in years. That game is a legend. Easily my favorite game of all time, followed close by the sequel. A truly timeless game, I hope my wii never breaks... thanks qumu, your cover was fantastic.
