Unpopular opinion: I think the Newsie's movie is better than the musical. I mean, the musical puts a lot more emphasis on the love story between Jack Kelly and Katherine, who wasn't even in the movie. The movie looks more at the bond of friendship and brotherhood among the news boys, and for that, I like it sooooo much more!

When I see Step in Time and the Toot Sweets song in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang I just never want to stop. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is another favorite film of mine.

Needless to say after he death Disney was allowed to get involved and fix the initial problems the musical had.
