Winsford Slimma, Wharton School.VOB

Slimma clothes factory in West Dudley Street and what was Wharton School playgrounds (Boys and Girls) another sad memory lost. I can still hear the bell ringing and all us kids being shepherded across the road into the school.

I was at Wharton School from 1981-1985.
I loved it there. They were some of the happiest days of my life.
I don't live in Winsford anymore. When I come back I always drive past that school. Its a shame they closed it, and Leaf Lane too, I was at that school as well.
Does anyone remember Mr Mossop? He was the head at Wharton when I was there.
