Chandoo garu pivot tables in custom sorting Chusthuntey avatledhu
If you have a custom list, you need to apply A->Z sorting order on the data to tell Excel to use the custom list for sort order (For ex. this works for Jan, feb, mar... dec sorting).

You don't need to go to Value field settings, dude.. @12:58 after the right click there's an option for Number format..just use that which can skip an extra step.
