Dude. There are two or three 15-18 minute videos that claim to be tutorials to do what you just did and none of them come close to the utility of your 4 minute video. Excellent job. Extremely helpful.
This should be the only video on CZcams describing how to remove the power steering pump. He kept it simple and to the point. Everyone else talks way too much..
I knew there had to be an easier way than buying a tool to hold the fan clutch pulley , a 36 mm tool to hold the fan clutch and removing the entire bracket holding the power steering pump and alternator. This video saved me money and time. He made it look effortless.
Great video been looking for a video that shows how to remove power steering pump and your videos is the best. Great quality, easy instruction and great lighting.
Trust me, if you have an older Blazer or C-1500 those pully pullers don't work. They will break the shoulder. I had to drill holes in the pully to get at those hidden bolts. And yes, had to remove the radiator to get a drill there. And yes it's a pain in the butt with that coned pully but was able to rebuild the pump with a rebuild kit. If you want to replace that pump you will need to get a new pully I think. It's been a dozen years and now I have a pin hole in the high pressure hose and have to remove the darn thing again. Thanks for the reminder of how I did that.
Awesome video bro. Thank you Fri keeping it simple and getting right to the point. Great step by step detail. I wish others would watch t on how to post a video on the job get to the point and not talk so much.
Really simple and informative. I'm actually going to replace my steering gearbox Saturday as well as the Power steering pump and hoses. Figured it's leaking, might as well replace it all.
i always measure the gap between the back of the belt pully and the bracket .. so when installing pulley you do not press it way to far on the shaft ... if you do the belt will be misaligned. just say`n
I just did this today on a 454 dually. I didn’t take the lower fan shroud off but I did put a piece of styrofoam in front of the radiator. He seems to have a lot of room to work I didn’t. Putting the pump back, it’s heavy and your trying to put a bolt in it? I struggled but got it. I was putting the line’s back on and forgot to tighten one. Said I’ll come back to it. I forgot and after test driving it was leaking bad. All is well and I’ve been wanting to replace it for 5 years now.

So there is no way just to remove the high pressure hose only?
I need a video on how to remove & replace a power steering pump on a 1989 Buick lesabre 6 cylinder front wheel drive. Please help....
So after I re install it do I just pour power steering fluid in and drive or do I have to purge if so how? Thanks
I was told to turn the pulley by hand both directions to help prime
Where's the rest of the videos?
Hoses and installing the pump?
Job is half way completed.
So do you have to flush the fluid out first or what?
Not really I didn’t do that but I’m pretty sure if you have a vacuum you can. Just put a oil pan on the floor so it won’t get on the floor.
Did u take the shroud off?
You have to take off the top part only of the shroud off cause it gets in the way.
My pulley is really stuck on and the pulley is not coming off. What do you recommend I do to get it off
omar k to be honest I never had that issue or came cross that problem but I would spray it down with some w-40 let it sit for a while and keep trying.
@@chveyboy22 I will try that. Thanks for the reply
