    Okay! So I have the Pro 1000, and went to the store yesterday to discover that here in the US there appears to be a Black 1500 I've never seen before and now I see the Smart 2200, so what would you recommend now? I just want an upgrade from my Pro 1000, maybe something slightly quieter but something that really cleans the teeth well! I'm willing to spend up to like 120! I don't need 1000 brush modes, just one that mimics the cleaning of a Sonic Brush. I prefer the round brush head!

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před 3 lety +6

      Stephanie. If your Pro 1000 is working fine, just stick with it. The differences between these models are very subtle. I appreciate you may want an upgrade but you are not going to benefit significantly. Might be worth just saving the $$.
      There is a new Smart 1500 (available in various colors) which is a bit of an upgrade over the Pro 1000. The main appeal is twice the battery life and a visible pressure sensor. The Smart 1500 is our top pick for most individuals because of the value for money/performance.
      The Smart 2200 is basically the Smart 1500 with a different brush head. Ignore this model.
      Unfortunately, with the exception of Oral-B's most premium model, they are all quite loud.
      If you want something that is quieter, you would need to move to a different brand, like Sonicare for example that use a sonic cleaning action compared to the oscillating and rotating or Oral-B.

    • @stephaniepjones9359
      @stephaniepjones9359 Před 3 lety +4

      @@ElectricTeeth you all are the best! Thank you! I definitely see what you mean the benefit of switching may not be worth it. The loudness actually doesn't bother me too much. My Pro 1000 just has some wear/tear from over the years, etc. I've thought about switching to soniccare but once you are use to that round brush head I feel like it's hard to switch!

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  Před 3 lety +7

      I hear you Stephanie. My (Jon) go to is always Oral-B. Not paid to say that, it's just the way it is.
      Your Pro 1000 might be looking a bit tired, but there is still life in it yet. If you are happy to keep with it then great.
      Otherwise at very least if you do upgrade, use the old 1000 as a handy tool for cleaning jobs. Great for cleaning round taps or grout in between tiles! 😆

    I have a question. When I bought my brush, it said on the site Pro 500 but it looked like the Pro 1000. When I received the box, it says on the box Oral B Pro 1 (500) and the brush looks like the pro 1000 but it's a light blue colour. So I don't understand which brush it is in conclusion. (and it's not the pro 1500 cause that one has a light for pressure sensor) 🤔

      @ElectricTeeth  Před 7 měsíci

      If your current brush is working fine then no. The main difference with the new model is a more modern look. Its all plastic with no rubber grips on the front of the handle. Grip on the back has changed too.
