This is, hands down, the ABSOLUTE best Acura Integra Type S video review on all of CZcams!! 💪💪💪🫶
Well done Car Care Nut! 👊
I agree, but on a separate note, any Integra review that avoids showing the rear end is going to seem better.
@@gregj3369 I happen to like the rear end, reminds me of the previous gen AMG C series. That said, Acura really didn't differentiate this enough from the Civic. Honda really needs to get their heads out their arses, and make it RWD. Unless mazda beats them to it, by putting their new inline 6 in an RWD manual mazda 6. That would be a legendary car.
@@summushieremiasclarkson4700 mazda just isnt doing it for many people. anyway I really like the rear of the integra, idk why everyone hates on it
@@siinxkj Looks great to me. Honda is all about that FWD packaging efficiency, and it scales well. To a point. I happen to own the third generation of the TL (6 speed manual). For a luxury barge, it handles amazingly well. But you can *feel* that understeer hard, despite it's double wishbone front, multi-link rear and limited slip differential.
@@summushieremiasclarkson4700 I havent heard anything about understeer for that tl, lots of people like it but I have no idea why. the sound system is great but there are common mechanical issues with it the v6 right? I own the 06 1st gen tsx 6mt and 5at (yes, both) which is like the little sister to the 3rd gen tl, I can say that I dont really feel much to any understeer on that beast. its really luxurious and sporty at the same time.
I don't need a car payment. I don''t need a car payment. I don't....
Then pay cash on what you can afford 😢
I said the same thing but here we are 😂
...I got a payment.
Finished the sentence for ya
But you do, you really really do. It’s so worth it!
But you need this car It’s that good 😂
Ah man, this is going to be good! I hope he does a technical review of the Acura TLX Type-S soon.
You can check out Savagegeese’s review on the TLX Type-S
@@vinhngo1894Throttle House as well. Also the TLX Type S is one of my favorite cars currently sold. I just wish Acura would finally do something about the interior, center dash layout which to me is just hideous looking.
This is a beautiful car. The ultimate I would want being older, if I was still a diehard enthusiast, that the time, money, energy, and good place to keep it. I would spend $60K if I had no complaints if I had the money to buy this with all the factory accessories I wanted, plus tint the windows and add a front strut tower brace. I don't think there would be very much else I would do other than keep it properly maintained, care for the exterior and interior and enjoy it. But in all practical purposes, I don't have time for that, or a good place to keep it. An A-Spec Technology Package, same color and interior would be more practical for me, still have the EKS stereo I would want and be almost as good for what I need at $40K with all the OEM accessories I would want.
Or even a Boost Blue Pearl or Sonic Grey Pearl Civic Sport Touring Hatchback which is almost as nice as the A Spec Technology Package.
Great technical review that like the others that give insight whether the vehicle in question is worth buying, or not.
I have been saying this for a while! So excited that he’s doing some Acuras. The bespoke V6 is an interesting motor and is the first and likely last updated V6 from Honda/acura. Would love to see his opinion on it and the car as a while
I love that car!!
I love my integra. Had an integra in higschool, RSX type S in college, and now this one. No regrets
that is awsome! having all integras is def a flex. im jelly
So many reviews of this car on yt are just blah blah snooze but not this one. Keep up this format of knowledgeable mechanic reviews.
Love Ahmed's reviews because of the details in the mechanical parts of the cars. Also design of the engine parts - what they get right - what they get wrong. Love the detail.
glued to the screen as usual without
- a second of driving
- car engine sound from my own tiny speakers
- out-loud reading of the brochure behind the wheel with selfieshots
- AI generated soulless, narrated keywords.
Will never buy this car, but neither will I visit exotic places from documentaires - still like to watch it.
This channel deserves to become huge
Wishing you and your family all the success! Love your videos, you really add something fresh to the car community! Thanks for the review!
Thanks for the review. I had a 92 Integra that did everything. Commuter car, Camping with a canoe on the roof, I once had a full size dryer in the back. Hatch backs are the best. Put 500,000 km on it and it always ran like a fine watch. Original clutch. Great car, but as you said, the price point here is different. At the time, the Integra was "the most car with the most engine for the least money". I loved beating up on 318 BMWs.
dc2 b18c?
@@Mybrokenjawtheoryit was a 1992 so no. Probably the 1.6
Had type R 1996 I think. Was my favorite car I've had. Hoping a Civic s.i. can bring back some fun. Haven't had a manual for nearly 10 years, however, I'm a bit torn over whether to get it in automatic. I'll just have to drive both.
I like this type of review. It stands out from the regular non mechanic reviews, from some young kids who only input about the cars engine is what they get from the spec sheet. You have quickly moved up to my go to reviewers if not the only one.
Amazing review, you get into things that other CZcams reviews don’t
What’s old is new again! Seeing the vent controls reminds me of the “remote” door mirror controls on GM products from 40 years ago. It’s an excellent way to control the vents, and it makes me smile.
This is Awesome! I felt like I was back in school listening to my professor’s lecture and I was taking notes. All I can say, well done! Keep up the great work!
Professor AMD!
Thank you for giving a blessing at the end! YOU are a blessing! And your reviews are excellent. I used your videos before deciding on a Mazda 3 2019, non-turbo model! Keep it simple.

Excellent review! Both pros and cons. Very knowledgeable.
Waaay back in '89, I purchased a new '90 Integra. I loved that car, and just a ton of fun to drive!
I had a new black 88 Integra LS to drive when I was 16 in high school. I was the only kid with an Acura at that time. The pop up headlights. The4 valve per cylinder engines were the latest thing for power. GM had their quad 4 engines at the time. It had 118 HP from a 1.6 liter. Remember at that time a 5.0 V8 Mustang GT had 225 HP. Now, my Kia Optima SX with 2.0 Turbo 4 cylinder puts out 245 HP and 265 torque. Getting 100 HP per liter back then was considered a huge accomplishment. I like this Integra but I would only buy it if it had a nicely tuned 6 or 7 auto or DCT with paddle shifters. imo, 10 speed transmissions are really dumb. You are only traveling from 0 to 80 mph. Having 10 gears is unnecessary, and to paddle shift that many gears is ridiculous.
What a review. Wow! Where were you when I was in class? You have a gift Sir. Amazing review.
Honest review!! You hit the nail on the head with every single point.
Wishing you and your family all the success
Today, and for the first time, I witnessed AMD the kid 👦 reviewing a car, and every word reflected how most of us feel towards this Integra. Well done!
Love mine, absolutely has exceeded my expectations!!
Great review. I usually get bored after 5 minutes, but somehow, you kept me watching the whole thing. Good job!
This was a great and educational video. Thank you so much! Can't wait to get mine soon. Very exciting.
Nice I wanted to see a review on this and a review by AMD is even better. Thank you.
Now this is the type of video I need to review prior to buying a new car!!! All in one place!!
Killer comprehensive review man, thank you!
Love this Integra type S. The good old days and a lot more.
I love this guys Reviews.. Very Detailed !!
I had an 88 5-dr hatchback with a 1.6l DOHC 4cyl with 5-speed manual. Fun car to drive. It was quick off the line and could handle like it was on rails. Hugged the road on the freeway.
I miss that little Saki Rocket.
Great info! I really appreciate the level of detail in this video!
Great detailed unbiased review. Thank you👍🏽
Love the reviews, keep it up!
I think you should buy one of these. I knew they were cool but after watching you showing one off I want one. I only drive manual so this is for me.
Great detailed review!!!
What a great review! Shows how well the car is built vs just 0-60.
I love the technical analysis
I own a 2019 Civic Type R and I love it some day I will own one of these as well
Amazing video!! Amazing car as well. Would love to see a different video about the new Honda Civic type R as I am considering on getting one.😃
Can you please review the Acura MDX 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 you do the best video reviews, so many details and in layman’s terms! Thank you!
Best ever review on Type S let alone probably any vehicle!!
Nice review. First channel i see that talks about the engine in detail.
Love your reviews - so detailed and so interesting. No holds barred you tell it like it is. Keep it real!
Excellent review.
Love all your videos.
This one is by far the best video.
Im planning to get one, but im getting the white exterior with red interior.
Amazing review, so detailed and interesting 👌🏻
Someone who presents a car and really knows what that car means. I like.
Damn your car reviews are out of this world. God bless you! And I love this car!!
Love the review - thank you
Great Review! Please review the MDX Type S next!
As someone that owns a 2002 Acura RSX, seeing this integra was nostalgic. The trunk latch + liftback, the three knobs for the console... they definitely made this a beautiful and powerful car. I hope I can own one of these in the future.
I'm with you there.
I still have my 03 RSX. Getting ready to get sell it though 😢 (don't want to)
I would love to get the new teggy is just too much for what it is.
The 1.5t is not worth 42k. So I'm struggling to find a car worth giving up RSX for. Extremely hard to do.
@@angelicemperor2686 agreed. I'm trying to sell mine too. The car has become unsafe and I don't think are worth the repairs. I ended up getting a more modern but used luxury car to splurge on myself a bit. But I do miss how nimble the rsx felt. If only I knew how to repair things better
@grimskull416 my car is still safe. I've had it for 11 years(my first car) so I have done plenty of repairs(my self and at a shop) I just recently had the eninge rebuilt, but now I am have a complication due to that. Otherwise the car itself is fantastic. Also since I am a single father of 2, I need a bit more room. I wish I made a bit more money, then I would keep it and just get a 2nd car. But that is the complication of being a single parent.
So I'm looking into getting either the Integra Aspec 6spd or the Civic SI.
Just not looking forward to payments again. Lol
Loved this Video!
Hi, your reviews are the best! Greetings from Croatia
Great video man, top quality all the way.
Thank you for your fantastic reviews! Can you review the MDX type S. 🙏
Hey AMD! Do you plan on making a video about the new Lexus TX any time soon (possibly even the 500h F Sport)? Really wanted to know what you think about the engineering choices of it as it’s an SUV that I really like at the moment. Just wanted to hear your opinion as I trust what you say about the quality and overall design choices under the hood and car and wanted to see how much it differs from its sister, the Grand Highlander (great video btw!) I love your videos, keep up the great work my friend! ❤
They could have used one of those blanked out switches for the rev matching. I haven’t used one in a car yet and I am proficient at double-clutching, but I appreciated rev matching when tracking motorcycles. One less distraction to deal with.
I’m glad to hear a mechanic’s perspective on a car. Most reviewers aren’t thorough at all in their review and don’t conduct a thorough walk through and explain why it’s designed the way it’s designed. If only you could get an engineer’s perspective perhaps they can further explain its design.
If you drive on the track once a week, get the Type R. If you drive on the track once a month, get a Type S. Beautiful review AMD, I love how you talk about the suspension design and serviceability of the vehicle.
If you drive on the track once a week, get a Ferrari because obviously you can afford it.
And if you treat public roads like a track, foxtrot Oscar.
If you drive on the track once a week, built your own EK Type R, if you drive on the track once a month, get a DC integra Type R.
I'm on the track once a week, in my Xero running shoes, cause that's what I can afford😂
Good to see you sir. Hoping to see the suv accuras next
Great review on a fantastic car!
I really appreciate your videos. I know it is a lot to ask, but if you get the chance, please do one of these on a 2013-2014 Mustang V6 with a manual.
Great review AMD, I own one of these. I’m a mechanic also , and agree with You.
Right On!
Man this was good!!
Great video thank you SR
Wow, such a nice review!
The most thorough and in-depth car reviewer that I've ever seen. Well done!
long waited review~!
Nice review. Need to do the TLX Type S now to round out the Type S vehicles.
"KINDA" Four Door Sleeper!!??
I'll take it, and watch others jaw drop while I'm all smiles!!!!
Great Review !!!!
Been waiting for this
This gentleman is the GOAT!
Nice review !!
ADDICTED TO YOUR VIDEOS. Please do them on American pickup trucks.
Thank you for the videos. I'd love it if you could review a BMW i4. I'm planning to go electric and am looking at some all-electric cars that look more like traditional cars on the outside and the inside - not like a Tesla. Thanks!
Looking forward to a review of the Acura TLX. 😎👍🏼
this channel is a goldmine
Nice video. Would love see pick up truck reviews
This is one of the best looking cars in recent years
Great video! Please review the 24 Elantra n line.
great review , I hope you get a chance to review the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing
Thanks for your review i want one one day. Just need backseat vents for kids.beautiful
As always, love to hear your input! To think I bought a 1995 Integra for $5000 in 2003.. I beat the hell out of that car and drove it HARD everywhere I went. That thing was bulletproof. Hope the same ingenuity goes into these. Sadly, I won’t be taking out a mortgage to buy one. Maybe as time goes on these outrageous prices will drop a bit. But that also requires people to stop paying the high prices.
I own it and it’s darn awesome
I would love to see a review of the Acura TLX Type-S with the bespoke v6 turbo engine.
Loved this review!!! A true smile making machine.
I’ve seen a lot of discussion (read complaining) over the price of the Type S. I think whether it’s a good value or not is debatable and depends on what you value.
But…when I see comparisons to what you could get for the money back in the day, I have to call BS. In all these comparisons, people seem to be directly comparing “Back-In-The-Day” dollars with Now-Year-Dollars, neglecting the role of CPI.
For instance: a 1997 Integra Type R had a starting list price of 23,100. According to the BLS CPI calculator, $23,100 in 1997 dollars is now equivalent to approximately $45,000. That’s not less than half the price of the Integra Tye S - not even remotely close.
And, that doesn’t include the fact that the Type S benefits from 25+ years of engineering advancements over the original Type R, to include things like adaptive damping, safety features, tech integration (you might have gotten a CD player?), 123 additional HP. Oh, and to even get A/C in the 1997 Type R, you had to fork over an additional $800 (in 1997 $) for a dealer installed option!
So, to claim that cars like this were cheap back then is not understanding how the value of money changes over time, and is not productive in thinking about what we’re actually getting for the money now.
"There's just one small thing .... " ..... I love it :)
I owned 2018 Civic SI and loved it, I can only imagine driving this Integra Type S. I shall keep my eye out for a used one as the years roll by. Thanks as always Ahmed.
Happy Halloween AMD! 😁
Awesome review, i had the original 1997 Integra Type R and even that was a joy to drive, was it loud ? heck yes
My son love this version ! everything was built with a purpose, totally agree with rev match with a physical button
This is an absolutely beautiful vehicle... and so well made! In my youth I owned and drove a manual Honda Accord EX-R (super fun and super reliable) and I'm afraid if I test test drive the new Integra Type S at my local dealer, I'll walk out of the dealership $60k poorer.
GM typically puts their high pressure fuel pump on the sides as well although the vacuum pump takes its place. Just a note.
I'm a Honda and Toyota fan-owned a 98 Integra GSR, bought new around 21K. True Vtec, is a very fun and nimble car with, a very simple interior, etc. I can see why these are priced so high with so many new techs.
Acura RDX SH-AWD soon? Nice video.
Interesting point bringing up Honda's Dual Axis front suspension, AMD - do you think you could do a video comparing that and Toyota's Super Strut that came out back in the early 90s on the Celica and Levin/Trueno? Similar systems, but with some key differences that are cool to compare from a car enthusiast perspective.
Make a 2dr hatch , i would buy it again. Had my modified GSR for years. Great handling with adequate power.
Awesome review! I have one available to me right now at MSRP and I really love the car but I am also very interested in the manual Supra. I know you have reviewed both and I value your opinion. I live in Utah where we, unfortunately, have to drive in the snow in the winter months. I would love to know which car you would chose? Both cars would probably be my daily driver. Thanks!
I like the way these look. I think the 2001 prelude I used to have was this color. (Electon blue purple) I think the name is. Thanks for the review. It is a gorgeous car.
Electric blue pearl
Thank you! I was kinda close
Electron blue pearl@@Stuckinthepast_
Bring back the Acura Legend!
I found a new ITS coming in from the factory and purchased it yesterday! MSRP + TT&L. I’m so excited for it to arrive!
Same here. I've been called past Friday to see my new liquid carbon ITS 2024 at the dealer. MSRP too.
It was supposed to be delivered end of summer, now I'm waiting for the accessories to be installed and all the goodies I decided to put on.
I expect them to call me maybe next week to come pick it up, I AM HYPED. 😆
