Autism is a spectrum. Some cases are more prevalent than others. I’m on the spectrum.
Also, the classification of autism has recently changed to include more psychological variations and variables.
Please mention when on a public platform, that the Autism-vaccine study has been discredited, so as to not give any validity to anyone who believes the false reporting of that study, and therefore negating vaccines, for their children.

larger population, more awareness, more parents that care, and therefore more people diagnosed as well
for every time i hear someone mention the two peer-reviewed studies that try to link autism and vaccines, i never see information about the hundreds of peer-reviewed and credible studies published that show there is no validity to this claim

My grandson was pointing to things he wanted and making eye contact at 2 years old. We were just expecting him to start talking any minute . He then started to show regression shortly after that and stopped making eye contact or trying to speak. He was diagnosed with autism after that and doctors told us that they hear the same experience from other parents. I’m confused as to why this woman says that’s not the norm.

it's called Autistic burnout. It's not really regression. At about 16-24 months a child with autism pretty much has a nervous breakdown from the new inputs. It becomes mentally painful and they stop doing those things. They were never processing things in the way you thought they were. It takes a person. Who knows the early signs of autism to notice them, but the signs are there.

It still is overwhelmingly and devastating. My son is doing well, but he has a long way to go. He was diagnosed at 2. I’m so glad with the resources available now, but we still need so much more. My son is brilliant, but still lacks a lot of necessary communication skills at 4. It’s harder than most people will ever understand. Just be compassionate and understanding. They just learn and comprehend differently but are beautiful minds.❤❤❤❤

Autism is not devestating. Don’t say that to an autistic person. Most of us don’t view our autism as devestating. Most of us prefer not to communicate because people don’t listen to what we have to say anyway. Educate yourself on neurodiversity. Autism is a gift not a tragedy. I’m so sick of people only seeing the negatives when there’s so many benefits to being autistic.

There are better diagnostics for autism these days because it is becoming more common. You don’t invest in better detection for no reason. I have a minimally verbal 5 year old autistic daughter. 3 of my friends from school have non-verbal autistic children - the kids are school age (and no I don’t know lots of people, actually quite the opposite). I didn’t know anyone or have a friend or acquaintance with non-verbal autism (where it’s most obvious) growing up. Something is causing this rise in autism.

Hey@cb, and-they don’t teach phonics to children anymore. The Parent should see this. Teachers teach the book to your child by reciting it to them, they remember it, they aren’t ‘reading.’ I have two completely different children, both taught the same, one shy one not. One adopted one not. One child came home from school each day DEMANDING only the correct answers from us.She could not do the work which admittedly was difficult for kindergarten. She got the correct answers by cheating. Now an A student. I never would have thought of it as a child or gotten away with that.

My son well-being after he received the MMR vaccine. Dear future mom, I strongly urge you to conduct thorough your own research before deciding to vaccinate your child. Despite the claims that vaccines do not cause autism, I can personally attest that my child did not display any signs of autism between the ages of 0 and 12 months. Please take this into consideration. A child should not receive almost 7-8 shot first year they are born.

Ding ding ding! Why aren't more people making the association. The pharmaceutical company is trying to make a vaccine injury accepted as normal. There is a reason for the increase and it is not better detection but interference. Children once got 7 to 8 vaccines and now get up to 72. I have seen more kids toe walking and this was once an extremely rare sight. Investigations need to be done!

My son was progressing normally. He received the MMR. Shortly after is when the signs started. If I had it to do all over again I wouldn't have. I condemned him to this life with my decision. He's turning 16 soon. He's a wonderful son, and great human being. However, the options for his future will be forever limited because of this. The truth is out there. They are doing their best to suppress it...

Lol most of these kids are coming from women under 40 .. age of mom doesn’t always mean that; I’ve seen more disordered children born to younger moms even in 20s range than I have with those having children in their 40s. I’ve seen Down syndrome from younger moms even moms in their 20s. I think it’s the way people have been taking care of themselves- there’s lack of healthy eating in a lot of
People and lack of healthy lifestyles in general

    • @Iris-hx6ox
      @Iris-hx6ox Před rokem +7

So to recap- we don't know. There are many factors and age cannot definitively say it is mothers having children at an older age, as younger women are having autistic children as well. As the mortality rate is getting lower in the U.S. overall it stands to reason that it is environmental. Let the professionals get to it and let the armchair pundits sit this one out. As always they are clueless and the answer is usually more nuanced than they can comprehend.

    • @deesee3622

@@Iris-hx6ox right especially since majority of women in their 20s/30s have been the ones having children in the past 30-40 yeards so it wouldnt make sense that age is the factor or the driving factor. I believe the environment plays a big role as well.

What causes autism? Its called evolution.
I was reading novels such as The Chronicles of Narnia and the Lord of the Rings at age 9, and comprehending them. What were you reading at age 9? Most people don"t ever read, and very few that read, actually comprehend. I taught myself electronics and electronic engineering in a matter of months. How long did it take you to learn electronic engineering?
