- Kōji Tamaki is a Japanese singer-songwriter and actor. He has been well known as frontman of the rock band Anzen Chitai that debuted in 1982 and enjoyed a successful career, particularly during the 1980s. In 1993, he began his career as a solo artist, and since then he has experienced much critical acclaim.

The lyrics of "Den-en" are exactly what I was going through when I was at my most messed up (mentally ill). I was going through a lot of things, learning about relationships, and I finally figured it out. I finally understood, "I'm going to live, and that's all right.
His musical style has clearly changed since this song (bright atmosphere).♫

I might be wrong but I feel like Koji Tamaki has become more vulnerable/emotional has he got older. It's like he is getting wiser and has a deeper connection to his own inner feeling. I don't know how to explain this in English. For me, what worked in my life is simply to stop thinking/ruminating about what happen when I was younger, and instead focusing on the present. I know that some school of therapy like Sigmund Freud are doing the opposite, but for me understanding the past never worked. Also, feeling lonely can increase the need to obsess about past experiences, so now that I have Sujy and our 5 dogs, I have less reason to worry.

As my taste in music deepens, I can understand what kind of life the artist himself has led from the lyrics and the tone of the music, and I think you have given me a very good clue as to how this compares to my own life.
I think it is much better than bad psychology.
And I think you are right, the most important thing is not to regret the past (just memories) and worry about the future (which has not been decided yet), but to just focus on living in the present moment.👍
I try to do that myself, but sometimes it doesn't work very well.😅

Thank you for another great reaction to Koji Takami’s music. You’ve been doing a great job of showcasing the variety of his musicality. Although most foreign reactors only pick up certain songs, he’s an incredibly versatile singer/composer. But I want you to know one other thing: Anzenchitai never broke up. This year marks their 40th anniversary and they’re going to have a few concerts as a band. Even during Koji’s solo periods, some of the members often helped. You can actually see three of them in this first clip.

You can’t find recent concert videos because of the obvious copyright issues but this is from Koji Tamaki Show in 2017 where Anzenchitai appeared as a “guest artist.”

It's pre-Covid and very exciting, and incluses the original drummer who has just passed away.
