  • I've decided since I don't have a limit on how long clips can be I've gone back into my vault and re-upload some of my fav shows, I have gone back to the VHS Tape and captured it straight to my computer rather then the DVD's which I've since lost.

    The syndicated version was at CBS. KHJ had this syndication show. Gene Rayburn was a good host, before he died in 1999. The year that I met Tiffany. The violinist who caught my eye. I remember this game show.

    Gene Rayburn being extra happy during this version was something that the producers probably forced him to do to try to keep the show alive.

      300 300 most performers may be given notes or guidelines about being happy or be enthusiastic. I'm sure he may have been told to give allot of energy during the show which Gene didn't have allot of trouble doing. later in the syndicated series it does become noticble that his energy is less and less.

    I know I'm living in the past, but if CBS had a brain at that time, they could've brought this show back to replace M*A*S*H* reruns instead of airing ONE DAY AT A TIME reruns. It ran 3 more years in syndication, who knows how long it could've lasted on CBS.

    • @PREGO1966
      @PREGO1966 Před 5 lety

      Match Game PM began in syndication in 1975 and ran simultaneously with the CBS run (75, 76, etc) until 1979. Both versions technically ended. This version though it officially replaced PM, was actually the continuation of the CBS run (even though it was syndicated) so technically it was "Match Game 79, 80, etc". Also PM had gone to a 3 round no straddling format, this version like the CBS "year number" format did straddle except on Fridays, so they could start a new week with new players and new celebs.
