    Thanks so much for making this video, Mark. Your timing was perfect, as I just encountered a project that requires me to transfer a reel of magnetic tape recorded in 1971 into FCPX. My brother-in -law as a very nice professional reel to reel machine, similar to yours, so I'm good to go now, thanks to you!

    Nice. Just for your information: Audacity has been bought up and there were some issues with tracking users - I think that has been removed in the current version though. There is also Tenacity, which is an open source fork of Audacity with a very similar interface, guaranteed without trackers. Either way you're set for most of your basic audio needs

      Thanks for the info. I don't know what this means thou. Audacity is still available at the main site as a free download.

      @@TheMediaNerdMT it's still free and available, just that the company is owned by a corporation now. They enabled tracking of the users after the buy-out but it seems to have been removed again. Tenacity is based on the same source code as Audacity but entirely open source, so no risk of data being sent back
