@Robin Mullen I changed the resettable fuse. The original one had continuity but would not flow current. The fuse goes to the motor that runs the wire.
HELP!!! My 252 won’t turn on, the red digital read outs flicker when i turn the switch on. If i spin the dials it flickers a little faster. Once or twice the fan turned on without anything being hot, (since it won’t run) Any ideas what it could be?? I purchased it new in 2008 as a hobby machine. Barely used at all since i tried to teach myself how to weld and seldom used it. Last time used was about 4 months ago. Thanks for your help, TJ
First check the breaker with a volt meter. If the voltage is messed up it will not work properly. Work your way to the machine. Check the plug, any loose connection will cause problems, look for and places that are burned, and check at the welder lastly, you may need to remove the covers. On my box the resettable fuse was not latching properly.
hey chris do you still have this welder ive got one with a couple of burnt board parts would love to have close up pics of your board as it has the same part number as mine, Thanks.
I have called Chad about my welder before @ 8173236733 He is in Hillsborough, TX. He may have a idea. Welder repair shop. I bought some parts from him before.
lo mas recomendable es aventarse una buena cantidad de videos para aprender de fuentes conmutadas y pwms, obvio saber algo de electronica para saber diagnosticar ....
I think the brushes in the motor were low and the spring pressure was weak. Banged it a few times and it started to work fine. I know that is a very sketchy reply. I plan on rebuilding the motor.
