Wow, these ones have even more weapon options than the Grognards! I love how WA maximizes the hell out of their sprues
The value for money in these boxes is insane. Once I'm finished painting my current lot of Cadians I'm gonna grab 2 boxes of these. Probably go for a shock troop type force with the beret's. They'll look perfect fighting my cultist and traitor guardsmen in a display.
So pumped to see what other types of guardsmen they come out with.
They're already working on a colonial marines/(movie) mobile infantry they're calling the "ooh-rah" and they're going to produce plastic versions of Reptilian Overlord's Space Nam. (totally not Catachans) Oh, and there's a Landsknecht Ogre kit in development, which should have some sci-fi options to allow them to stand in for Ogryns.
The quality of that plastic, the crisp, has gone way up it looks like :o
It's actually just a different shade of grey. LOL
These guys could be used in a steampunk scenario, a sort of modernized "Steamboy", or a Space 1889 one. Now it's incredible how many plastic boxes are on the market, the pit helmet heads are perfect for some AU's colonial expedition, mixed with other kits.👍😁
I got a box of these and a box of their new generic horses and some rough rider conversion parts. I also got some other odds and ends to ensure I can do a proper Kill Team conversion. Very pleased with my purchase.
Going with berets for specialists, peaked caps for the officer and rough riders, and pith helmets for everyone else. Tally ho old chaps!
Of course, Wargames Atlantic have also got me in a bind with their new Spacenam and Ooh Rah sets. So I'll be doing three total IG kill teams.
But that's cool, this is kinda where my hobby has ended up, doing cool painting projects that have a unique look I like and preferably tell some sort of story as opposed to doing full armies.

Wow they are pretty nice, I wonder if you can mix and match parts with their other sets like the raumjager torsos so you could gave some armour.
I have a couple of sets of these although haven't built them yet. They are pretty decent and i agree i like the figures with the berets although the pith helmet guys are fun.
My main gripe is the weapons which dont seem to fit the genre. As others have commented they have a steampunk feel rather than straight forward SF style whereas the US Ooh Rah have a definite advanced technology look to them.

Edit: For bases, I have found knockoff GW-style black raised bases on ebay for cheap, but I have come to prefer the wafer thin bases that Northstar uses. Additionally, Wargames Atlantic is making their own fancy dished bases for minis with their feet molded on partial bases (e.g. Dead Man's Hand plastics).

well yes like this as the price say GW you get 10 guys fore same with WGA you get 24 to 30 do the math and kit basing wit all difent stuff and if what more bits thare are equipment sets at 135th scail think ones mini art thare other but manfater makes 8 difrent ones yes just bits yes got old melal pretones and the storm troopers with bray me got french SI FI guys and the si fi gess SWOT team guys and did ok 4ok and had some IG bits from GW like get the WW1 german and this guys and WW2 french resitenst fight ers do a supper kit bash and have tuns bits to do other stusss see as you post new and treat the cats fuzzzy co stars
