I just found out this news. I'm a huge Allman Brothers fan, although I never got to see them live. He was a great guitar player and songwriter. Ramblin' Man, and Blue Sky, among other great songs he wrote. RIP! The music world has lost another legend.
So appropriate that Dickey will rest at Rose Hill with his band mates. I love amd miss their live performances. RIP Dickey, Duane. Barry, Butchie and Gregory. Your music goes on forever.
Berry Oakley (bassist) was killed in 1972, in a motorcycle accident, like Duane (lead/slide guitar), just over a year earlier. After Berry was laid to rest, Jaimoe (drummer) wondered if he'd be next to die. Almost 52 years later, Jaimoe is the last man standing. Rest in eternal peace, Duane, Berry, Butch, Gregg & Dickey. 🎼🎶💐🎸🎹🥁🙏💖
