    I was so glad to see someone else coming down a tree into a tangle of branches and ropes. I've been asking myself how come they don't show the awkward rope-tangle lanyard-shuffle branch-dance on CZcams arborist videos. I was relieved that it happens to other people! Thank you! Good job on the video.

      Good to hear, man. I know what you mean: CZcams videos can tend to hide the gritty realities of things sometimes. That was one gritty job! Anyway, good hearing from ya man

    You handled the situation well, I think. That’s his prerogative to hack on his own trees. Love the way you use those snap cuts and the satisfying cracking sound when the piece is broken off. Need to work on that myself. Also what a sweet dog…thanks for another great video. 👍🏻

    I was thinking about getting one of those gas powered pole saws for pruning my old apple trees but, I decided to just use my Echo 2511T and my 14’ apple ladder. Have you had any snow out there yet?

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Před 2 lety +1

      That ladder method is a good one: you get better, more precise cuts that way. The pole comes in handy when there are thorns between you and the cut :) ... no snow yet but it's in the air!

    Should have educated him on why topping coniferous trees is bad and walked away. That tree will fail in the future from the decay or extra weight from the branches creating leaders.

    Excellent topping....joy to watch. As far as the other work being done by someone else, even the client, that would have bothered me. I stick to my word 100% and expect the same. Do your written contracts account for that?

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Před rokem

      My contracts cover a number of things but never everything -- at one point I had a contract that seemed to me to "cover it all" but I thought it was too long and kind of annoying, so I removed a lot of stuff that seldom comes up
