Hey man, I've just discovered your channel.
Gotta say, of all the tree channels out there, yours is my favorite. It's casual and you have a good sense of humor. Keep it up bro.
Oh man, awesome to hear! Big thanks. I'm off to take care of a wild pine today ... good times
Nice work Spencer. I like how you are always respectful of peoples yard. I see a rope puller in my future. Such a handy tool. A grappling hook might come in handy for getting limbs out of the water.
I use the rope puller waaaaay more than I thought I would. Great tool!
I like that you show the clean up with the rake. I mean i don't want to watch ten minutes of it, but good to show all aspects of a proper job.
Thanks man. Yeah, try to show it all
from the Netherlands thanks for the video Spancer
Thanks buddy
I was LOL at the crew in the truck smoking the crack rocks. Reminded me of the Eddie Murphy Delirious bit where the kid singing about “you ain’t got no ice cream, cause your mamma is on the crack rock”. Happy 4th Spencer!
Good old Eddie Murphy :) thanks man ... happy 4th!
@@metaspencer he lives in the house behind mine
ok, sorta, the one I know is white eddie murphy
Great video. Love that you stuck with that little branch the entire time on the rope puller.
hahaha sometimes things work out. it was a fun one!
Log rolling, pool cleaning, and diy water cooled chainsaw.😳 Variety video.
Thanks!👍🇺🇸
Well put. Yeah, the water cooled chainsaw was as new one for me :)
@@metaspencer🇺🇸 Enjoy the 4th!🇺🇸 Thanks!👍
Some day when the time seems right you might consider getting a Portable Winch - they are a gas powered capstan. Nice to have options, and it would probably fit into one of your high side boxes on the flat bed.
Gas powered winch? I'll have to look into that. I have a couple for the truck but nothing I can haul out into the woods ... thanks for the tip!
Gooood morning Spencer! Thanks for the ride along! Happy 4th of July!
Have a good holiday! :)
Life can be a bit repetitive. But the first rule of success is to show up. The second rule is to complete the job. Great job and thanks for some Friday evening entertainment after my hard work week remodeling.
I like your philosophy. My Dad used to say "99% of life is about showing up" so I know what ya mean. Thanks
Sometimes i do too much climbing and my ground cleanup takes days. I dont mind a bit of it but too much ground stuff gets old. I have been trying to keep up lately and its better. Nice work man. Looks like some nasty weather..
Always good hearing from ya man! :)
Hey Spencer Happy 4th to you & yours.. great vid 👋😁👍🇺🇸
Thanks! Happy 4th!
The echo is alive aliiiiive !
It lives! put some good gas in it and a few zip ties and it's good to go! :)
@@metaspencer awesome
The Committee and the crack-smoking ground crew 😂
So many people to deal with!!
@@metaspencer hang on now spence, YOU are the ground crew, is there something I should know?
lmao
Happy Independence Day Spencer!
Big thanks! Happy 4th to you, too
Ground crew gotta put the pipe down lmao. Youd be fun to work with!
haha ... absolutely! Can't trust those guys! :)
The Red Baron is fine shape...runs like a fine tune watch... When is that Toro mini skid vid coming 🤔🤔🤔🤔.. I see lots of manual labor still into the green Beast... just asking... like usual you make it look easy...
Okay so check this out: I finally decide to get a mini and every sales guy I talk to around here says it's gonna be 3 months before one comes in, and it might even be longer. So I hesitated, thinking maybe I could find a used one before winter is here ... but I haven't found a good one at a good price. So still hauling like a mule! But then I've gotta say: I kinda like hauling :)
@@metaspencer ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that's Great... Unfortunately I don't live near where you ... You could have used My Toro mini and then see what you would of thought of which one works better for you.. Again my friend... We ain't getting any younger 😭😭😭..
The green color is dye used to stop sunlight and kill green moss

Makes sense ... wild looking KoolAid
@@metaspencer i only know from tending my grannys pond for years
Sounds fun
That's not how I would have done it.
Thanks for the content.
Keep up the good work.

Haha ,,, good to hear!
Good 👨🔧
Thanks 🔥
You need a gas engine capstan winch.
I do!!
Hey in this one are you repelling on that blue 10mm Amazon rope?
Yeah probably -- not recommended! Use better ropes :) Currently my spar anchor rope is a Pelcan ... not a bad rope and has a spliced eye
@@metaspencer haha guilty! I climb on cheap Amazon stuff too.
Do you have a particular brand of hearing protection you would recommend? I think I want to switch to the style you are using but curious if one brand holds up better than another. Thanks.
These are the around-the-neck ones I use ... I've tried a few other brands and these seem the best to me. I like them because I can take them on and off ... www.amazon.com/Howard-Leight-Honeywell-Shooting-R-01538/dp/B001DZO87M/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=around+neck+hearing&qid=1625512576&sr=8-5 ... probably not as good of protection as some others but I like them
Mr Spencer, I am looking at getting a new larger chainsaw. What do you think of echo saws?
I've come to really like the Echo saws ... Stihl may be a bit better, but Echo is close and a lot cheaper. I have 5 Echo saws now and like them all ... not perfect but pretty good
im looking at the farmertec G111 ($200 ms200T knockoff)
any thoughts? would be cool to see you test one out
This one? www.amazon.com/Farmertec-Holzfforma-Gasoline-Compatible-Chainsaw/dp/B07P3J5LXM/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=farmertec+G111&qid=1625336890&sr=8-1
@@metaspencer yes, also looking at the G2500, its closer to the 2511t and only $100
if you want good spur pads, spend the $100 on caddy pads, a little birdy once told me they are pretty good
gonna order a pair for myself soon
Caddy pads! You always know of the good stuff. Okay, I'm gonna google that ... thanks man
I just bought my first pair of climbers. Buckingham steel / with the cadillac pads. Love the cushy foam against my toothpick boney legs! I wanted the aluminum climbers, but couldn't justify spending that much. For me this is a hobby, not a career. I've been retired 3 years now.
@@savage22bolt32 I found a pair on wespur for $75, gonna order them
im learning to spur climb, and getting good enough that it doesnt hurt as bad to be on them for a long time, which means im on them more, making me want to upgrade from the L pads
also, for extra padding, I took some industrial felt, and folded it over 4 times, so that it covers my entire spur pad, and put that between my shin and pad, works well
@@WoodCutr1 Yes, some form of padding is needed with the L pads. I borrowed a 40 year old pair of Kliens and climbed a tree.
Just wanted to see if I could overcome my fear of heights. The new ones & flipline came in last week, also from WesSpur
@@savage22bolt32 I have a similar pair of steel climbers and really like them ... but those pads sound 100% better than the rags I have. Sounds fun!
Cool vid as usual but I always wonder what is with the this not a how-to disclaimer - does youtube make you say that? They seem obviously not how-to videos to me.
haha ... the disclaimer thing is just a running joke I have with myself ... nothing serious about it at all! :) thanks for checking it out
Is your 25711t stock with a 14” bar? Or did you do any mods? Like muffler or narrow chain?
It's pretty much stock ... I've dropped it a few times, zip-tied the chain brake on, and then pried the screen out of the exhaust while widening it a bit, but not ported in any official way. I'm thinking it might need an overhaul ... wicked little saw
@@metaspencer Finally got at 2511t from Arlington. They show as out of stock and back-ordered but it came in less than a week. It is a great little saw. Gonna work with it on the ground a bit before I try it in a tree. Perfect opportunity yesterday when the top of my neighbor's maple just fell out and on our street.
Oh that’s awesome! I still haven’t found another one … well done! You’ll get a feel for it. Great trim saw
If you get velcro youll never want the old style agsin
Really? Okay, I'll have to get on the google and see what I can find ... it's time
Yeah, those buckles are a pain. When I figure out which hole is my 'go to' I'm going to put a dot of yellow paint next to it so I get the pin in the same hole every time.
Good idea
@@metaspencer the ghekos so much more user friendly way less pressure points
My geckos are great but I like little small pole spikes most days
Did you ask if you can yank your rope on the 5 pagama baita bla bla property.
I shoulda asked but just went for it ... I think they were all sleeping in there (party the night before maybe) :)
@@metaspencer Hangover+chainsaw=Ouch!👍
You get paid to do that?
Oh you know it.
@@metaspencer It is hard work, but the little bit I've done has been enjoyable & satisfying!
