I've been watching your videos from the beginning. Each time I'm just in awe at how much more refined and beautiful your work is. This is a very nice build! Thanks for posting!
Appreciate the support!
❤ I really like the platform in the front passenger seat. Smart!
Brother, you consistently produce some of the most GORGEOUS micro campers available. Each build gets better and better. And your high attention to detail is visibly evident. The day I am in the market, I will be reaching out! Keep going!
Appreciate it!
I love the layout. Seems to cover the bases and looks great.
Thanks, a lot of give and take in these smaller vans!
That is a perfect small van. You do a fantastic job.
Thank you!
Wow those leather cushions are beautiful 🤩
You get me
Yessssss, he's back! Best campers on CZcams. I'd love a Transit Connect one day just how Josh makes them.
Appreciate it!
I am ridiculously excited to see a new build from you! Love your designs. If I wasn't elderly, I would be hitting the road in one of your conversions asap. You're an incredibly talented guy.
Thank you!
Awesome build! Keep it up!
Thanks!
I really love the design and layout of this van. The flow now makes more sense. I have seen quite a few designs before, and I don’t understand why people want to get out of the driver seat and walk around to the other side to get inside. I love the size of this van. Too bad the Connect only comes in a 4 cylinder engine. It has no power when you try to drive up the hills or mountains with the air on. When I find the right van with the engine I want, I will reach out to you to build it for me. We will have to change the location of the electrical stuff because I do not like to sleep next to the electrical stuff. A job well done!
You, sir, are talented.
Appreciate it!
As always vans with style.
🙏🏻 appreciate it!
That's the perfect comment, so true.
Another eye-catching creation, very inviting for camping. BTW: I love the round corners, as they give the whole concept a 'je ne sais quoi' (besides more safety against bumps). 🎉
Thank you!
You do good work bro!
Thank you!
What a great little compact van.
They are little gems!
Love your van builds!
Thank you 🙏🏻
So neat and clean.
It will be great to have a small grey water tank so that you don't have to dump water immediately in a public parking lot.
Also as you are making use of the passenger seat, adding a small table there for food or anything else you need during driving will be very helpful.
it's a interesting build for weekend outing and for longer it falls in short side in my point of view..
So detailed, best builds 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
That is an awesome little camper. Well done.
Thanks 👍
Beautiful build. Great job! 👍🏻
Thank you!
Your electrical work is tidy. Nice.
You make me want to do car/van life again! This was perfect! The only thing i was missing the first time around was a portable toilet (or space to put it 😂). Excellent job, man!
Heya Josh, if possible, I would love to see a video on how you cut out your sink template on your kitchen counter top for your undermount sink, please.
Great I like the clean contemporary appearance design. Continue living in my 2021 RAM PROMASTER CITY.
Another great build meeting the customers wishes...pro work and high craftsmanship Josh
Hey thanks dad
I’m still using my rooftop tent in my Kia Soul it time to get van and put the tent on the roof and have more room lol
I have a transit connect that is built out, and you have done a really cool job. If i was doing it again i would be on your waiting list.
LOVE this design. Subscribed.
Your builds are so clean. Beautiful.
Thank you!
Great job on the van I remember watching your videos when you first started and skating in Cincinnati Ohio lol😂
Thanks man!
I kind of like the faucet being in the back of the van. Aesthetically, this van looks very good. Ive seen your other vans and im glad you are back too, as i havent seen you in awhile. TFS
Well done, after one year full time I think I’d be quite comfortable in something like this . Looks beautiful too
❤ An effective design, for sure
You do the cleanest looking builds. 👍🏽
I'd love to see you incorporate a lifesaver Jerry can with the shower attachment. (faucet/shower/purification & 5 gal. )
Thank you!
Damn, Josh is the man. Really professional design
Love your work guy.
You forgot to mention the Ford Transit Connect seat are not geared for long-distance driving. The seats are hard as concrete.
Get a cushion 👍🏻
@Josh_Oakes I did. This should have been mentioned in your video. Also, no regular cushion could be used for the seating. It has to be custom made.
Great little build. Looks really neat. (as in tidy lol) x
Thanks! 👌🏻
If the ever make a Little Guy Max (the largest one) u can drive I could live in it sometime ago saw video on one n it was perfect n the woman who owned it did an awesome job organizing it plus I don’t mind a wet bath
Huge fan of you Josh! These are amazing builds. I wonder if you have any examples of regular ford transit low roof van conversion? Since transit connect is discontinued I'm considering purchasing the regular low roof and not sure what you can do with that.
Perfect for weekend campers or fishermen ❤😊
Some of the coolest transit conversions out there. Great job!
I noticed the sleeping surface was fairly thin and was wondering if you had ever thought of doing some type of tatami mat/fouton sleeping arrangement. I've been looking around and haven't found anyone that has done one yet and I'm not sure exactly why. They can fold up into a sitting space and are relatively durable and breathable. I'm really interested to see a type of Japanese studio apartment on wheels and if it had the space for a computer/monitor for working on the go that would be even cooler!
Aloha - you are the best when it comes to converting a micro van into a camper van. So neat and meticulous 🤙🌴
Josh, this is almost what I want for my build. I’m on your waiting list. Is that Transit Connect a XLT LWB?
Yes it is!
you do beautiful work sir
I saw few of your CZcams blogs today and right away I have to subscribe . I been watching camper van conversion for years , I swear your conversion is the best . Very simple design but it's beautiful ❤️ . All I need if I buy one . Question ⁉️ this exact camper van conversion , how much will this cost ?
I just love your design . It's been my dream to have one , and your camper van conversion is really the best!
Great build for a small van.
Thanks.
Very clean layout bro. I like it ❤
Thank you!
PERFECT! 👍
Clean. Nice work Josh. Bummer the fridge and toilet could not be switched.
Thanks!
Хорошая работа
Such a fantastic build, Nice, neat and tidy. I wish Josh was my brother so he could just build out a van for me. But unfortunately I only have sisters. So no comp van build for me. LOL.
Appreciate it!
Beautiful Build
Appreciate it!
Man I want one of these.
🙏🏻
Nice build
Thanks!
An excellent job.
Thank you very much!
I wonder if there is a way to make a bidet toilet seat in one of these vans. Like add one bidet seat to the toilet, with a drain pipe down thru that container box. So if you can't shower, at least you can freshen up. And wash your hair in the sink.
Very nice job Josh!
Thanks David!
Very nice, as usual.
Thanks!
Really nice build, great job
Thank you!
Your builds get higher quality every time. Love all the disconnects
Love it ❤
Nice build!
Thanks!
love this layout design, but where on earth would i put my Weber Baby Q
Hi Josh, I am curious about how you disable the air bags and rear seatbelts? I was advised it could not be done without cancelling my warranty.
I am hoping to upload a video of how I removed the curtain airbags. I imagine it would void any warranty for sure. For the seat belts and air bags there are little by pass sensors (link in description) you can connect to avoid having any lights come on in the dash.
Very nice work.
Appreciate it 🙏🏻
I like this very much, but I know it's high to build like this, so I will have to do a no build like this as close as possible, so how much is this build.
Love the layout!
Well done. If I could I would ask for a build like this. Its 6/2024, what would you charge for this build at current pricing?
Very nice!
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I would love to buy a little small Ford transit and have it finish. Can you tell me approximately how much it would cost to finish one just like the on the video without the roof awning
Sweet
Hi Josh, I do really enjoy your builds, I'm very interested in your quick disconnect hose to your water containers, what are the fittings and sizes you use for the parts that go into the lid of the container, please?
Appreciate it!
There are link in the description to the plumbing parts used. I’m hoping to have a video one day showing how everything gets assembled 🤞🏻
@@Josh_Oakes you are extremely talented and I've got to say one of the very few chippy's who actually builds vans, most are not qualified in building. Thank you, I really look forward to a video showing how everything gets assembled, especially your plumbing and the area behind the bed.
Hey Josh! Just curious do you happen to have one of your awesome camper van For sale ?
I wonder if insulating these small vans is worth the effort?
Why does everyone use plastic for fuel can another safety material be use just wondering
The fridge lid doesn’t bother me. You’ll be way more likely to use it from the open sliding door then when your inside the van
Agreed!
You also probably won't be cooking to much inside the van. I can but don't want smells so cook outside so frig door is perfect
Loaded how does the rig go up mountains like those W of Denver on I-70?
Mine goes up those mountains all the time just fine.
When you install the bed do you cut the bed around the wheel well? Or do you place the bed in front of the wheel well and secure it to the floor. I bought you’re bed plans so just curious. I have a Nissan nv 200 so the wheel wells are not very big.
I typically install the bed in front of the wheel well as I build a small wall the length of the van so the bed will mount to the floor and the wall. But you can modify the bed to fit around the wheel well. You’ll just need to change drawer dimensions.
@@Josh_Oakes awesome thanks for the reply. I think I’ll do just like you said. Seems a little bit easier to put in front of the wheel well. My walls are also built already. So I was just curious thanks for the insight. I really enjoy you’re builds. Lots of tricky angles in the nv 200 but really enjoying the process.
Cost please I'm in Australia
Where is the battery and inverter access?
Battery is under the sub floor like I mentioned in the video. Inverter can be accessed through the bed slats if needed but the on/off switch is located on the sink cabinet.
@@Josh_Oakes been following you for awhile. Love your work and you are in the same state. Have you ever considered putting water containers in floor? Two 7 gallon ones that feed to the sink and “shower”. I think it would fit, but you are the expert.
That’s a good build with the exception of people just draining their gray water into the streets or environment. Please put a gray tank in your builds. A lot of irresponsible van lifers are ruining the environment.
no thank you for bloopy noises
Nah! Plain and no room. Too many unnecessary things going on in there.
👎Layout appears to be designed by someone who has never spend any appreciable time traveling in one👎
Hey thanks!
@@Josh_Oakes sure
I dont understand this comment i saw it before i watched the video expecting a horrible build. But with how small this van is didnt do bad for the space he has i think the full sink isnt neccessary maybe that whole area takes up a little to much space but i couldnt think of anything i couldve done to make this layout any better. Feel like this comment was just to hate with no real critic.
@@lif3l3ssgaming The aesthetics are cute. However the DESIGN (ie the placement of the stuff inside) is NOT great at all...
I self-built my van 7 years ago - it continues to evolve after each long trip. This YT'rs rig is simply poorly designed.
@@TerryManitoba you say that but what whats poorly designed you keep throwing out a blanket statement but mention nothing. Design bad you sound like a child when you ask them why they dont like something o no likey bad yuk With no actual criticism. Maybe the van isn't designed around being a permanent residence people do just you know also buy things like this to just camp for the weekend or even the week This gets that job done no issue. But for a more "home build" if that is the goal of this build sure i agree some issues but its not a flat out bad design. I think the kitchen takes up too much space, the toilet area seems unnecessary maybe move the heater coming out somewhere under the bed and have that bench split with the toilet and storage seems like alot of wasted space with that heater there and take the toilet area out do something else with that space what i have no idea but someone may have good ideas, the bed area made of leather or leather like material seems super uncomfortable, grey tank should probably be a standard from my understanding many states its illegal to just drain out to the floor unless youre using like natural soaps but imo that seems like a headache worth avoiding. see examples of criticism not being a worthless child on the internet calling something bad with nothing to say.
Again you dont know its purpose if its a weekend warrior van this design is fine as is if its designed to be more permanent dwelling then yeah the design could use some changes.
There's no room to stand... 🤔 I would be so uncomfortable using that kitchen in such a tight space, left alone if someone is sitting on that couch if, say, it's raining or late at night. Too cramped! 🫣
You get by with what you have 😁
Dont buy a transit connect then.
