$62.75 is actually pretty close now.
Actually, low
In 2021, you're pretty right. Tube of KY should still come with tho
Yeah, at McDonald’s. Maybe.
It’s like this ad predicted the future!
2022 says "hold my beer."
This is the genesis of the celebratory "Cha-Ching" motion that we all did back in the 90's.
does “cha ching!” beat “schwwwwing!” in a 90s catchphrase battle though?
lol, no, people did that in the 80s too.
I remember so well how hard my family laughed at this commercial when it was originally broadcast.
Glad that the smartass kid taking orders has gone on to have a reasonably successful career, especially for "Without a Paddle" and the _Austin Powers_ movies.
Love without a paddle such a great movie plus Dax is the man
Chris: ...Chicken!
Seth Green
Don't forget Family guy and Robot Chicken...
@@lawrencelarryobrienjr4591 Yep
I also got a kick out of him playing the foul-mouthed Amish in "Sex Drive."
Seth Green had been in a lot of movies by this point, even a Woody Allen movie. It's funny that this commercial is what made him famous.
I remember this commercial. Nostalgia. I'm a Saints fan, and that was during their 11-5 season.
That's me on the voiceover at the end of the commercial. I did several of those as I recall. I lived in Atlanta at the time and was hooked up via remote link to a New York studio.
Excellent voiceover!
Love Seth! He was perfect for the commercial.
So this was Seth Green. I remember there being a rumor at the time that "the guy in that commercial that says "cha-ching" was in a car wreck or died or something. Those were the days of rumors that couldn't be verified.
Now you can barely feed yourself a fast food meal for less than ten dollars.
I am from 3 years in the future and if you consider yourself "barely fed" after a normal fast food combo meal under 10 bucks... You might want to watch yourself because it sounds like a witch is trying to plump you up for your juicy meats.
@@Khanstant im one year further and 6-8 dollars is fine for one person at manny places
I remember the whole business of "did you hear that the cha ching guy is dead?" I remember calling my local Rally's to find out if it was true. The guy said "Nope. I get about 10 calls a day on that."
Hello from 2021, the world is on fire but Seth Green is still with us.
@@scherzva Hello from 2023 the world neevr was on fire, yall are just mentally ill LOL
Now $1.97 will get you a pack of ketchup.
Around the time this commercial was airing, America's Funniest Home Video's had a mascot naming contest, and someone submitted "Jack Ching Bada-bing" and won. Clearly inspired by this commercial!
Times certainly changed. Seriously, $1.97 for a meal?
Michael Head you'll be lucky to get a burger alone for that price now
You are right. Don't count on it being a double patty.
That's still a hell of a price. $1.97 in 1992 would be $3.48 in 2018. Burger, fries, and a soda for under $4 is pretty damn rare. Wendy's 4 for 4 is the closest thing to that right now.
Oh it is. I do miss Rally's when it was like this.
Last time I went to Wendy's a few weeks back, it was roughly $10 for a Dave's single burger meal.
I'm here because of Dax Shepherd's Armchair Expert Podcast 😂 Seth Green was always my secret crush lolol
if only there was footage of matthew lillard being a mime....
The bear in the horse trailer story. Funny as shit
I'm here because of the same episode!
Dax Shepard's episode of the Nerdist (or ID10T, now) podcast. They played the audio and I had to see for myself. Now I have to find this episode of Armchair Expert.
What was a joke in 1992 is close to a reality for a family of 4 in 2023.
I remember that Rally's commercial, Seth Green was a teenager back in 1992. I was 7 years of age at that time. Seth Green is a celebrity legend from 90's teen movies to now a greatest actor in his mid 40's. Rally's/Checkers is still the greatest and favorite fast food burger chain better than McDonald's or any other burger chain.
Rally's used to be good before Checkers bought it and turned it into a carbon copy of itserlf.
lol lol... Thank You for sharing! lol when I was a kid my Aunt gave me a sweatshirt with "Cha-ching".. lol awesome after all these years this still puts me in tears lol
that young man went on to become the voice of Chris Griffin
Beep beep Richie.
Omg I miss these ads. One of the truly funniest ads. One of my all time favorites. I laugh every time I see it.
Here we are 30 years later and its come to pass.
Great Commercial! One of my favorites! A+
It will cost $62.75 to feed a family of four at a fast food joint by 2025.
I STILL remember this.
The price for those meals is probably accurate now.
Who knew this commercial would be predicting the prices in 2022.
He actually showed up at the Superdome before a game one time and I got to meet him.
Those were the days... When all you had to worry about was school and being home before the street lights came on.
Oh Bullshit
@@nightstar3765 it can be easily looked up, now can't it?
@@tomecalm7 Just because he was does not mean you attended. Did you get a autograph or picture? Then shut up.....
I guess what Fah-wants, Fah-gets. RIGHT???
@@tomecalm7 Be upset all you want. I called you out for being a liar. You need to be upset at yourself.
This commercial was a cultural phenomenon back in the day.
So was Ralph Furley.
@@scooteragnew9248 😂😂😂😂
It truly was groundbreaking, it was one of those commercials that changed the game, and it gave Seth’s career wings...
the cha-ching commercials were a big hit at the time.
I absolutely remember this commercial perfectly clearly.
WGNO used to this ad constantly in the evenings! 😃
That was a popular commercial back in the day. Everyone was saying cha ching.
The exact commercial I was look for, oh the times!
I wish Family Guy would acknowledge this and do a cutaway of the Griffins as the family who is "a little shy" then have Stewie murder him.
I wish I was an eighth grade again
I remember this commercial when I was a kid
Not many people know that he was responsible for one of the most overused catchphrases of the 1990s. In 1992 he appeared in a commercial for Rally's Burgers as an obnoxious drive-thru cashier who kept repeating the line "Cha-CHING!!" over and over again and the line entered the popular culture.' IMDB
he sounds like David Spade
Seth Green and David Spade are very similar in their acting and comedy routines.
The O.G. Cha-ching
Classic commercial!
Wait wait wait... This was Seth Green? Man, time definitely flies.
Seth Green in 1991: That'll be $62.75.
Government in 2024: We did it!!!
Josh Gates Tonight brought me here in 2021.
how do you NOT get work with a mug like that...sweet jesus!
Seth Green has the most 1992/93 haircut I’ve ever seen
This is what we are paying now these days for fast food what he said in the commerical. You will be surprised that this commerical is like a future prediction of what is going on now today.
now for 3 bucks get all this and an apple pie
Seth Green holy shit!
Back when Rallys was both good and cool!
Why does he care how much the order costs? He doesn't get commission, he gets minimum wage.
The comedic convention being that young, low-wage service industry workers find peculiar ways of entertaining themselves, perhaps.
I remember this commercial and this was way before the chick fila sauce girl
Bunny Ears Podcast brought me here
Its been 27 years!
What's really sad is $62.75 sounds about right for today's money. :D
Always liked this commercial and Rallys fries 🍟.
I miss the Rally's in Bakersfield CA, they had the BEST seasoned fries and bacon cheeseburgers!
I remember this, haven't seen it in years. I also remember a Rally's commercial on the radio years ago about mystery meals. A woman pulled up to a drive thru to order a chicken sandwich, she's told to press a button on the menu, she says they're not labeled and is given something different. Wish I could find that one I remember it being pretty funny.
$1.97 for the combo meal. That shit was made of people.
the memories.
I am surprised this hasn't been spoofed in family guy.
A combo for 1.97 😂 that’s wild
62 dollars to feed the whole family? Sounds like a steal to me. I would be shocked to feed myself to 10 dollars.
McDonalds charge $2 for a large coffee now 😂😂😂
Indeed
Remember when a Big Mac was a Big Mac. More like a Little Mac and the value meal was $2.99..$3.17 with tax. You can't get a Little Mac by itself for that now. Smh
I love Rally's burgers and fries
Classic!!!😂😂😂😂
Damm them season Fry's were the shit.
Best commercial
$1.97 for a combo meal. Remember those days?
Probably the greatest thing he's ever done! Relax folks, just kidding!
all that hair popping out of his hat can't be sanitary lol. When I worked at Rallys I had to wear a hair net! lol
Well for just short of $63 for dinner for four, this clearly wasn't a 1991 Rally's
A year or so later, he was on The X-Files
Robot Chicken Nuggets on Season 3 referred me here. CLASSIC
Chocolate Charlie and RMG brought me here
Anyone else here from Comedy Bang Bang?
It's me, I just listened to it today
2020 - 28 years ago. Time doesn’t slow down for no one. 😐
I miss Rally's before Checkers bought it and turned it into a copy of it.
I remember this commercial.
Chris Griffin!
Richie Tozier!
Cha-CHING!
Anyone remember the Saints Cha-Ching tshirts after this commercial aired? Just me? Lol
I remember this but never knew it was Seth Green
Less commercial and more a realized prophesy now.
CHINGGG!!!!!
2024 and still having budget friendly combos for 5 dlls 👍 😊 🤤
He's not dead, he's a werewolf
I’m gonna go to rally’s and demand a combo meal for 2$
If it were 1992 I saw it with Dad
CHING!!!!!!!!
For whatever reason I’ve always remembered this commercial. Until today, i distinctively remembered it as a Hot N’ Now commercial. False memory I guess 🤷♂️
I wonder If the writer of Wayne's World 2 got cha-ching cha-ching from that commercial
2024 prices CHING
CHING
Let's not forget the follow up where he brings out "Master Plaster". Kichunk!
Eddie Mcdowd
8th grade memories.
Steve from Scoops Ahoy
Literally everything in Canada
$1.97 for a combo meal! man this is old!
not old enough...
2 $ for that meal I wanna go
This ended like a Robot Chicken segment! Coincidence???
Seth Green
