Mega Man Gameboy 1-5 Dr Wily Music

- Dr Wily music from every Gameboy Mega Man game! Not as easy to find, this is a collection of all the Dr Wily stage music from the Gameboy games, and they're just as good as the NES tracks.
Mega Man 10 for the Wii has three special stages that were based on the actual Gameboy Wily levels, not to mention you fight the Gameboy robots Enker, Punk, and Ballade.
The music from Special Stage 1 on the Wii is actually a remix of the first Wily track from the Gameboy.
This video contains 6 tracks, plus an excerpt from a remix at the end.
You can download the remix here:

Rockman World 2 - Opening Theme by Phoenix Project / Yuu - Hry
Megaman II for Game Boy was the first non-educational game I ever owned. When I was a kid, I thought the melting clocks in the Wily stages were T-bone steaks.
Well they do look like t bone steaks...
I always thought they were steaks too!
wait... THEY AREN'T?!?
Wily loves his meat and won't let any vegetarian get in his way
Dude I thought the same thing! I actually still thought they were until you just mentioned it, (I haven't played in a while)
The Tracks of the Wily Stages of MM1 are true masterpieces! 😍 😍 😍
Peter Meyer
These were all masterpieces.
Indeed!
it is Enker's Theme in MM10
Ok, here's my opinion for the tracks:
1a: I really like it. It's a very good theme.
1b: Also very good. Maybe a little bit too "happy".
2: I love it and i hate it how everyone says that it's too high pitched.
3: Maybe one of the best Wily Themes in the entire series. I really like it.
4: Also very awesome. Maybe one of the best Wily Themes too.
5: Simply Wow. It's so dramatic and i really love it.
All in all i think the Mega Man series for GameBoy all have a very damn good soundtrack and are really underrated.
Considering World 2's soundtrack was awful to a lot of people (probably the instrumentation could be improved. That and they were probably expecting remixes of Mega Man 2 for NES), yeah. Honestly, I agree that people exaggerate its badness...
***** Yeah I think the main Problem of the Soundtrack is the Arrangement of the Tracks. The Composition itself is on of the best in the complete Mega Man Series, in my Opinion.
+Chinoxxan 1b is a hopeful theme that gives you strength and really makes you feel that you're reaching the apex of your adventure~
Even if the final boss is severely crippled by his pattern, and is only hard if you try using Sakugarne...
Yeah
oh man ive been looking for this song for years. the first song has been in my head since i played this game in 1992
Mega Man: Dr Willys Revenge
Willy 1: 0:00
Willy 2: 1:20
Mega Man II
Willy 1: 2:40
Mega Man III
Willy 1: 4:04
Mega Man IV
Willy 1: 5:29
Mega Man V
Willy 1: 7:08
*Wily
Willy moment
6 years and this video is still awesome!
+Red so true! I gotta say, I only played Mega Man 2 back in the day and you can hear, that the upped the quality of the compositions from part3 onward. But I also gotta say, my favourite theme ironically still is the Mega Man 1 one, very glad you can actually hear the bass line AND the rhythm in this one, because I´ve seen other videos, where either or is going completely mute right after the whole song loops for the first time!
12 years and this video is still awesome!
I never beat MM1 for Gameboy, I did beat the other ones at lease once, these games were harder than the NES version lmao. MM3 for GB music brings back the feels :D
underrated
i like the quirky and "plush" feel of the gameboy graphics
I ear the music of mega man 2 GB intro and willy castle is the same
I used to play this game on the toilet when I was a kid.. haha!
ゲームボーイオリジナルの曲までしっかり凝ってるのがこのシリーズの良い所
Lmao the nostalgia! I remember getting that "Sakugarne" and thought "WTF is a Sakugarne!??"
Bouncy bouncy!
According to the Mega Man wiki, Sakugarne may be derived from the Japanese word "sakugan", which means drilling, hence the weapon's resemblance to a drill or jackhammer.
The Rockman/Megaman on game boy were so awesome and skilled, difficult ( 3 and 4)
Again, awesome games!
2:41 and 4:04 this is my favorite music of megaman 2 title theme/final wily stage & megaman 3 wily marine fortress (final stage)
You are a valid man with a valid opinion 👍
holy crap i didint even notice that its 10minutes i wathced the whole thing without being bored to death great vid i must say megaman 5 has my faurite wally music its spooky and adventureous at the same time great vid thumbs up
Excellent editing, I wish more soundtrack vids were like yours.
I was about to do this video, glad to know that someone did it a long time ago! Epic job dude
Yeah, the second one was just a little too cheery for a fortress stage.
Also, I think having both Fire Storm and Atomic Heat is just overkill for the first game.
It's Atomic Fire.
Well, at least it’s better than Quint’s theme...
Well at least it's listenable, unlike, you know..
*T H E B O S S T H E M E?*
But yes, I do agree it's a bit anticlimactic
@@HCN-002 Damn, Quint doesn't get any love does he?
@@Phun-Bun look, I like the idea of Quint, it’s just that his fight and music are the real kickers for me. They could’ve done so much more with him, but didn’t. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t even care about him that much if it weren’t for ACESpark’s “Quint’s Revenge” game, but with how much that game said “yeah, he did have potential, but never realized it” is what makes him one of my favorite shitpost characters. But, with all that said, absolutely NOTHING can save his theme! An 8 second loop with that absolutely EAR GRATING soundfont is what kills the entire thing for me, outside of what fans have done for him.
The video is already 11 years old, but it's still great (even if only in 480p)
So cool that you put this out dude! The nostalgia is totally kicking in right now. Thanx;)
The first stage theme was my fav! I used to just let the GB sit so I could hear the theme repeat. Always pumped me up. 🍻
7:03 he just exploded and Megaman got yeeted out the ship thats hilarious
I loved your video thanks for uploading!!!! =D
big part of my childhood ..... that struggle i will never forget that :D and this amazing 8 bit tunes
I love 8-bit music 👾🎮🕹
FUN FACT Wily Stage of MM II is also the title theme of the game.
Ass Biter your username is funny as hell XD
That reminds me of the Genesis version of Sonic 3D
Nicely done... I'm truly amazed at how easy Mega Man 2 is... The gameplay is easy, but the weapons given provides you with an unfair advantage not seen before on Mega Man.
1a. Awesome! Megaman 10 had an awesome remix, too!
1b. Pretty cool too! I like the intro!
2. Ew. There is something seriously wrong with the tracks in this game.
3. YES! NOSTALGIA!!! The song rocks, too!
4. I think this is one of the greatest Wily themes EVER!!! There's just something about it that feels... just... AWESOME!!! Plus at 5:51, it sounds like something from Sonic the Hedgehog.
5. So eerie, but so cool. Another fav.
hidden palace zone?
Whoa! You're totally right!
II is pretty overrated (_Cough_ MEGAMAN 2(II)) and High-pitched..
No
I like Rockman world 2 wily theme tho.
Megaman III is just..
Сидя дома Грущу чего боюсь Иду в магаз покупаю себе снюс
1a: fantastic, and a real headbanger. Not much more I can say.
1b: good, but sounds a little too... triumphant for a final stage theme, if that makes sense
2: dammit, they tried with this one. It’s pretty catchy, but Megaman II’s poor soundfont doesn’t do it any favors. Not to mention it’s very repetitive, even for a Mega Man song
3: take notes, Willy’s Revenge. This is how you do a more upbeat final stage theme. This one nails the intensity perfectly
4: ajfisggahshdh this game’s soundtrack is so goooooood. And this song is no exception. While it is a bit repetitive, it sounds like nothing else in the entire series. Intense, yet mysterious.
5: a bit of a shame that there was only one theme for all of the Wily stages in this game, but hot damn, is this a good theme to use. It starts and ends tense, with it being really hectic in the middle. My one complaint is that it sounds a bit strange when looped
You could also mention that the title theme was literally recycled for the final stage in the second game.
I wish they had included these games on that Anniversary Collection they released for Playstation 2.
Megaman World 2 (Megaman II) actually has pretty good music if you lower its pitch by an octave (or maybe two octaves). I recommend everyone here to check out RushJet1's covers of the game's soundtrack.
This echo effect is wicked. Please, I'd love to know where you got these! I have the soundtracks already, but not with that awesome echo. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the Megaman gameboy games are among some of the best games in the series and among the best games for the Gameboy period. Great tribute mate.
3 years watching this, thank you.
wow the megaman 5 music is fucking god
+Grey So damn deity.
+Grey If you like this from around 7:10, I´d recommend to you the music from a game, that I still love to play every other day on the GB, called "Gargoyle´s Quest"!
*OH-MY-GOOOOOOOD!!!*
ChanCeNecK I'll check it ;)
***** Cool! Especially the later levels are worth it, musicwise! And watch out, if you really try to play it, one essential power-up is literally on a tree in the overworld, but they will tell you where, if u understand English!...
yes it is
nice video and good editing
Years later, this is still one of the best and most underrated vids on youtube.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
2010 was good
Glad I could help! It's a great tune.
Awesome compilation! True pearl in youtube gaming videos.
Hi, glad you enjoyed the videos, though I don't update this account anymore. Thanks for watching :)
These tracks are amazing!
Mega Man III. Period.
@SatoshiMatrix1 Hi and thanks for watching! I used Adobe Audition to add a little reverb to the songs, just to add some depth. Thenintendogamer mentioned you can use VBA-M to add echo on-the-fly, but I wasn't previously aware of this feature. The game footage was recorded with VBA-M however.
個人的にワールド4のワイリーステージBGMが好きです!
Nowadays all the Megaman Gameboy games and Xtreme 1 and 2 r on the 3DS Virtual Console so yay!
Well not anymore since March of this year.
The way these games handled the Robot Masters is actually kind of interesting. First they take four from one game, then four from the next. Then, in the next game, they use the four Robot Masters not used in the previous game’s second quartet, then make another quartet from the next game. I wonder what would happen if this pattern were to continue? Here’s an idea:
Megaman 6 (GB-Style):
- Wave Man
- Star Man
- Gravity Man
- Gyro Man
- Wind Man
- Flame Man
- Blizzard Man
- Plant Man
7:
- Tomahawk Man
- Yamato Man
- Knight Man
- Centaur Man
- Slash Man
- Spring Man
- Shade Man
- Turbo Man
8:
- Burst Man
- Cloud Man
- Junk Man
- Freeze Man
- Sword Man
- Search Man
- Astro Man
- Aqua Man
9:
- Frost Man
- Tengu Man
- Clown Man
- Grenade Man
- Magma Man
- Hornet Man
- Splash Woman
- Concrete Man
10:
- Galaxy Man
- Jewel Man
- Plug Man
- Tornado Man
- Nitro Man
- Commando Man
- Blade Man
- Strike Man
11:
- Sheep Man
- Pump Man
- Solar Man
- Chill Man
- Block Man
- Acid Man
- Impact Man
- Bounce Man
12 (Just to avoid leaving out the Robot Masters from Megaman and Bass):
- Fuse Man
- Tundra Man
- Torch Man
- Blast Man
- Cold Man
- Burner Man
- Pirate Man
- Ground Man
holy fuck
dat quality
is fucking bad ass
thank you breh!
I think I liked III best, though V and IV are definitely up there.
Add some reverb and 8-bit music becomes 2 times more epic.
0:00 feel like that's where block man's theme came from (shake my head)
my reaction to all of them
1a. I have this stuck in my head now 100/100
1b. very happy i like it 90/100
2.a little high pitched and also the title screen of the game 70/100
3.even though i have not got therein the game it gives me the feels 95/100
4.action packed feeling to me 100/100
5.evil sounding it fits the atsmosphere of the level. 80/100
this is just my opinion!
Chris Pedersen I agree about 1b. I only ever got to this stage a few times when I was little but the music is very uplifting I couldn't stop smiling lmao.
Don't you think the rate you gave to 5's was a bit... Mmm I dunno, excessive???
+ofir goldshtain Yeah..
omg 6:04, I just beat Mega Man IV yesterday and had no idea you could stand on those turrets. I was shooting from the floor and it took forever. Man, hahaha, I wish I had known you could do that! After dying to the boss I still fought those Met turrets from the ground but had Beat help me out which helped a bit but damn, I feel foolish now.
Anyway, I really love the gameboy Wily tunes. Really wish the gameboy games asides from 2 and 5 had more original music because these are fantastic!
@7thFloorVideos Apparently MM2 on the gameboy was outsourced for development to a company which had little knowledge of the series...even so, it makes no sense they changed the sprite for Dr. Wily from the one used on every other Mega Man game (other than the SNES and PS1 games)...and appear to have him literally get killed by Mega Man at the end...I guess for cannon reasons we will assume he somehow managed to survive that.
Fucking got BITCHSLAPPED by my childhood right at the start. God, that brings back some good (and bad) memories.
Enker, Quint, Punk, Ballade and Terra strickes back
I remember having to remember the password of Megaman 4 on the gameboy, then just listening to the music instead of playing.
Seriously, I like that game more than Megaman 2!
first and third track- 2 of the best themes made by man
Please come back Prism! We miss you!, there's still Mega Man V left to review!
What a great video.
ワールドシリーズのワイリーステージ曲は最高
MM3 Wily stage is the best one. (And screw this stage much!)
My list (Top 6)
6: Ia
5: IV
4: V
3: Ib
2: II
1: III
But I still like all these songs
I know Mega Man IV for years - and I never even considered standing on these turrets. I always just spammed Rain Flush. I feel just like you now. =)
@SatoshiMatrix1 The visual boy advance gameboy emulator lets you record the music with an echo effect
Holy reverb batman!
@ZeroJanitor
Same here ^^ They look so steak-like
megaman 2 is just to awesome
come back prizm ;-;
UntoldLies he dead boi
The first one is still the best bop!
Hello from 2021, the link in this video's description that takes you to the download of "Rockman World 2 - Opening Theme by Phoenix Project / Yuu" doesn't work. Is there any way to view/listen that full song now? Because I want to listen to that awesome remix again. I've also heard there's an album with this song and many more so, any way to view/listen to that too? Thanks.
Edit: I have found the source. I might link the video in the replies if someone wants it.
thanks, I wouldn't have it any other way!
oh man, i used the wrong cheese
They should add the Game Boy themes in the next update for Mega Man Maker.
What do you think of the remade stages and music in Megaman 10?
Omg.......................... That Timeeeees!!!
Best. Music. Ever.
Lol..my favourite game ever together with pokemon=P
Epic childhood=P
the second wily song always reminded me of the beginning of Michael Jacksons Black or White lll
What happens to your reviews man? I liked those videos.
Dr Wily Stage! Same Sound like Michael Jackson's Black or White! Sooo cool👍😉
7:09 i like it more 😄
Actually, I may have a theory as to why people hate Mega Man II so much. Wily doesn't beg for mercy in that one! Oh, and they feel the music is too high...
Bring back the collection for GBA!!
The second Wily stage theme in the first game sounds like Invisible Touch.
where did u find a working version of Megaman V for ur emulator?? everyone i've tried won't load....
Because of its reputation, people think Mega Man II's soundtrack has no redeeming qualities. Probably because of the name and the fact that the instrumentation could have been better...
The composition of the tunes themselves isn't the problem. They're catchy as hell. Where they screwed up was the transfer to the 4-bit hardware and that resulted in the high pitched warbling.
I've heard worse, and this is coming from the guy with sensitive Asperger's-grade hearing. I do agree that they probably should have gotten he people who did the first GB game to do this one. That's what they did afterwards. I've also played Challenger from the Future, which is actually a worse game than this...
But we have hack that made pitch tracks a bit lower. And (wow!) it's great!
1-Ib remix please ? :-) is Very Nice !
2-II
3-III
4-Ia
5-V
6-IV
How could IV possibly be so low?
Megaman 10
@Prizm4 hey i notice the song from megaman 3 is from mario galaxy
@ZeroJanitor Dude I thought that recently. But I only recently purchased MM 1-5 for GB.
These could be used for title screens
1. Tis' Decent. Like the Rest of RW1's ost.
1b. It's good, but feels less like final stage(s) music and more like something in a robot master stage or even the weapon get screens.
2. Composition, good. Instrument choices. No. It's like the most annoying 50/50.
3. *WE GOIN IN BOYS*
4. Starts good, gets amazing, nearly hits its god tier at the end-it looped. I want to scream.
5. It's ominous, and with good reason. Aside from Rockman World 1 and 3, the series kinda has this kind of, off put and darker look at the series. Not like X, just kinda more dark. It fits. This IS it. You fight the MegaMan Killer plus Quint, then you face off with the 8 Stardroids, because Terra is actually dead I guess. Those 2 robot hands, Wily's rushed Machine, and then..
SunStar, a literal f*cking destroy of worlds.
I like 5 ok it's like the best of the GameBoy games.
I don't remember the MM4 GB wily stage at all (do remember the song though), I was drinking the whole time I played the game. Gonna have to play through it again one of these days.
the origins where heart of enker's theme came from in mm10.
(I think I spelled his name wrong)
nope it's enker
It's Enker's theme, but the song is called Heart of Enker.
It's Enker's theme, but the song is called Heart of Enker.
@ZeroJanitor
Same here. xD
MM1s music was godly, why did they butcher the song in MM10?
Damn Bladers...
