Dont ever scrub a mirror finished case with a toothbrush, you will be left with swirls and a dull looking piece over time. Best to clean with water and soap and use your hands. Then dry off with a microfibre towel. You can use the toothbrush to scrub brushed/satin finished areas but scrub along the grain and not against!

I wear my watches in weekly rotation. So, I wash them after each week of wearing. I use dish or hand soap and soft tooth brush. It's better to wash and rinse using running water instead, as shown, two bowls. Also, dissembling bracelet/strap is for maybe yearly or even longer internals. Good that you mentioned instruction about leather strap.
Thanks for sharing your method, Leo. Our washing method is just one of many. As long as you wash gently and carefully, your watch will come out clean and scratch free. We want you guys to enjoy wearing your watches and Everest straps for years to come!
I have a two tone datejust with jubilee bracelet and fluted bacel. Can i clean it aswell with your method. I dont want to get any big scratches to the gold part. Please help
@@Everestbands Hey! And obviously I should get the toothbrush slightly wet to get between the the hard to reach places in the bracelet, then dry it off gently with a micro fibre soft cloth, right? I just really don't want to do anything stupid and completely ruin my watch (Seiko 5 automatic sports watch, 100m W.R). Your reply is greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

SG Me personally? I would probably go anywhere and everywhere. But even if I didn’t it still wouldn’t matter because if I buy the vehicle I can use it however I want. Even if that means driving it off a cliff. You can’t tell people what they should or shouldn’t own based on what they do. That’s bad character.
Gorgeous watches 👍 For the steel watch band, and I have a few, I would put the band in our sonic cleaner first and then brush it and probably give it another sonic bath before drying it off.
If its a sports model , i will soak it in soap/water solution for 1 hour or more, The water really turns grey. Then rinse w running water. No brush for me, it creates swirl marks, no wiping of cloth also, just use hands. Then let it drip dry over tissue paper.
I have some dust specks on the crystal (or could be dents from AR coating, cant tell) that microfibre cloth cant seem to be able to get rid off. Any tips?

You missed a critical step ad thats to clean under the crown and pushers in the open or unscrewed down position. If a watch is going to fail it will happen at the threads !! Clean those threads.
Is more easy have a shower with the watch, leave it in a corner withiut strap or with if is silicone, the shower foam and water will spread around then when finish shower take watch to dry and all done. Brush can scratch it
Make sure to sure use a very soft bristle toothbrush because over scrubbing will cause the watch to have swirls and will be dull over time. Just use the brush to clean hard to reach places that you see where dirt is, otherwise just hand wash with soap and dry off with a towel or micro fiber cloth.
Rahaan take a shower more frequently. I’ve been using leather straps on all my watches and none of them smell. The leather may look worn but none of them even had the slightest odour
You should take it off every hour and go to the bathroom and rinse it off even if you are out in public. The finish will degrade and the watch will become worthless if you don't.
My Tag and Tissot are easy to clean since they are water resistant where as my Citizen Eco is only water proof. It is the obvious dirty watch that I need cleaned big time, but again...im afraid of effing it up in doing so.
thats what I was thinking as well when I saw this video, do all that, in the end spray some isopropyl alcohol to replace the water in the tight spots that can't be dried with a cloth. if someone can help answer both questions :)

What about the bracelet on a submariner what do you recommend for that?
@@philipg7929 soak the bracelet in laundry soap water overnight. It will bring back the luster.
How about a small sponge?
Not in my Experience. Just make sure to use the softest brush available and dont brush too hard and youll be fine

Mine is Seiko 5, not really water resistant so I pour some vodka into a glass instead of water then it’s pretty much as you do

It doesn't really matter, pricey watches don't scratch because they have at least some form of coating on the watch bodies.
I usually strap the watch to my car wheel and drive it through the car wash.
Is that original Rolex watches, which have been used in this video??
Leather straps can be cleaned with baby wipes.
I use sanitizer now a days 😅😂 believe it or not works well
🥰😍
can you tell which product cleans the watch glass on the inside? I had to change the battery and wanted to close it with the glass clean!

It's just about how much you care for it, I personally clean my rotation watch 2 times a day, early in the morning and late at night.
What about 3/5 atm watches?
Just chuck em in the washing machine on a boil wash setting. Easy!.

He's right. Clean your wrist before you wear yoyr watch. Like soap and scrub. Not just wetting them and calling your hands washed.
How often should I wash my watch? Is it OK to do it every day or so?
Why would you do it every day? Take it easy man. Every one or two weeks is okay.
You should take it off every hour and go to the bathroom and rinse it off even if you are out in public. The finish will degrade and the watch will become worthless if you don't.

is it ok to shower with a watch that is 30 meter resistant?
