I have lived in virginia almost my whole life. Northern VA to be exact. Northern VA is the place to be.. We not only have the best of the best, scenery, night life from DC, but literally everything. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Weather is perfect as well

I was born in Chicago and moved to Virginia in May of 1979, which means I’ve been in Virginia for 40 years. I lived in Colonial Heights, which is just outside Petersburg. I then moved to Norfolk in 2010, and have enjoyed it ever since. The scenery is gorgeous and the weather, for the most part, is just fine. I’m so glad to have moved here. I wouldn’t change one thing!!! 😎😉😎😉

I was 77 and the police said I was 86, this is a nightmare, hire a lawyer $750 to dissmiss the case , then send me a driving school and court fees, when I send my documents to the court they lost all my papers and found me guilty. Never in my life spend a vacation in this state. Racist and corruption.

I live in NOVA. It's nice, but not for me. I LOVE Norfolk, Virginia Beach, though :-) NOVA is nice, but it's so crowded its difficult to enjoy anything with the traffic.

Why is it these videos are always either Northern Virginia or Richmond there's a whole lot more to Virginia than those two places the western part of the state is much prettier than the eastern part anyway we have Roanoke in the western part of the state plus the Shenandoah Valley

I lived in Virginia for a number of years. The previous "Welcome to Virginia" sign was much prettier. It featured a cardinal on a white background. Gov. McAuliffe, the current governor, changed it to this black sign. Northern Virginia (NOVA) and Hampton Roads are large enclaves of Northerners, especially from the Northeast....just like being in NY or NJ. The governor is even originally from New York. Hmm... The real Virginia (what's left of it) is west of Richmond. The people in the those parts still have the traditional Southern genteel mannerisms, unlike NOVA and Hampton Roads. Virginia, once a prominent Southern state, is being transformed. More and more it reflects characteristics associated with Northeastern states....SAD!!!
I live south of RIchmond, orig from NYC. Lots of northern implants ...No Va and Hampton Roads nice but traffic. West of Richmond, within 25 minues rolling farms and trees. South of Richmond, farms, cotton, tobacco and no major cities on 95 till JAX florida
Your comment basically confirmed what I had originally stated. I personally don't find NOVA to be all that nice. It's one big urban sprawl and the traffic is horrendous. Driving I-95 from DC to Richmond and then on I-64 east to Hampton Roads is also not the most pleasant experience, as I do not like bumper to bumper traffic. I've driven that route (in both directions) one too many times. Again, Virginia is changing and not for the better!

Texas Son DC area is like Atlanta. Geographically South, but culturally, not so much. The real Virginia starts at Fredericksburg.
