People say Messi’s better than him and while maybe true, CR7 really just doesn’t get enough recognition for his completeness. He has been world class at everything at some point in his career.

Its a shame for Ronaldo that he joined United probably at the start of Fergie's worst period in the Prem era. 2003-2006 was a tough transition period where Keane lost his legs, scholes got the eye problem,Ferdinand got the ban. He stood out a mile in terms of his injection of electricity, The team was getting really stagnant during those initial 03/04 years. Really lacked pace.
It's a shame, but he still turned it around. I would see it as a learning process. Taught him that nothing comes easy, which is probably why he is so successful wherever he's been.

Its something which we can only have an opinion and impossible to know for sure but we do like to think his time at United shaped his mentality.
