Here's a fun fact about Soul Ops:
This was before Soul Ops was a thing.
There was a side game in "Gaster Blaster Battles" (one of Oyun's other games) that had the players defending sans from the charas. Of course, you became gaster blasters from various aus to defend sans in it, the same blasters you could play in the main game. This is why the healing blaster in Soul Ops has blue eyes, it's because it's the swap sans blaster. It's really cool to see how far a little minigame came.

I played that game long time ago it was cool but ppl was too toxic(I mean first soul ops version when there was only blasters as players) and after some months I tried to find that game again and found soul ops I knew it was that game cuz same map and same creator
I feel like Finally Balanced Soul Ops had a TON of potential. Problem was that FBSO wasn't even a main project of the creators, and was more of an experimental game. This caused it to not receive too many updates, and has also caused it to be discontinued. If FBSO was a main project, I feel like it could have done extremely well if they updated it consistently. I might have a bit of bias because my channel is based around soul ops games, and FBSO did well on it and the fact that I had also obtained every badge in the game.
Yeah ngl I was even planning on streaming and making videos on FBSO but they don't really add a lot of content or update it much at all.

Honestly this game is probably one of the most unique and interesting ut games on the platform, it was an idea never seen before and that’s what made it explode, it’s sad that because of newer popular games setting standards, your game has to be over the top with graphics and other stuff just to be somewhat popular

I don't think finally is a bad game, it's probably the most balanced soul ops game, granted it is dead now, but the game doesn't give a crap ton of heals and instead makes bosses have attacks that need you to dodge in order to win, the only real part that isn't fun is like, epic because he can just bonezone and you take so much damage, but I don't think it's bad, it's probably one of the only soul ops games to not flood its game with stupid oneshots/ridiculously high damage on stupidly hard to avoid attacks
It would honestly be cool to see more charas in fan games because it’s just boss rushes now, maybe normal mode that gives the normal badges and a boss rush after that, the characters for the boss rush would need you to beat all the normal mode first so it’s balanced.

Dude, that game would problably die in this current stage because the whole community hated swarm gameplay causing games
with it to die because of how tedious it is, especially in soul ops. This one factor makes games like sobre way more popular

Honestly I miss them too that's why I'm making my own to try to inspire other devs to make them too cause I like them a lot more then boss rushes
If anything, you could say soul ops actually started earlier
Oyun made the very first versions of soul ops into a little sidegame called a blaster’s duty since it was inside gaster blaster battles at first(you played as the gaster blasters and protected sans basically)

A thing that every soul ops games lacks that the og still has is chara and there variety
Like charas are so important for keeping players engaged and overall fun
The constant variety’s of chara kept the gameplay fun while also balanced and for buildup for the boss, it was so fun making up strats on how to deal with some of em

It's always nice to see more content that is critical of Soul Ops fangames. The majority of SO fangames are just lazy and poorly made. Of course the developers won't care since it brings success, although usually short term. Alot of SO fangames lack creativity and balance and so many other things. High hopes for Soul Ops 2 though. (And I know it might be weird to hear this from a Sobre dev but I'm not the one who added bad content ok. I just work on it for fun and try to improve it.)
Oh I wasn’t expecting a sobre dev but that’s nice and also I agree with you, too much of the fangames focus on quantity over quality, if their short-term, cashing grabbing game dies they’ll just make a different one instead of focusing on quality and being more unique then the rest.

i remember when i first got rose in soul ops, i was pretty lucky since i had joined a server on rose wave and they winned it when i joined i hope soul ops 2 release soon

well it was real fun while it lasted , beating waves and geting badges like empty soul and other badges. I still remember the old insanity sans and the rose waves. It’s sad to see the game not as popular anymore but I still had fun.

I mean people will maybe call the new soul ops bad but keep in mind that one is at least more original then 99% of the rest since it has normal waves before bosses instead of just a boss wave non-stop whithout any normal ennemis who give you a REAL reason about protecting the souls

This game has convinced me that undertale roblox community has a little percentage of a soul, and i went in and turned lifeless but the game has given me a great time while playing and memories will be staying here, soul ops will stay as a memory until it has a remastered, or reworked completely maybe even soul ops 2 rework since its so old now.

Soul Ops 2 has been released and it is much better than expected, well balanced, fun gameplay, very good bosses, and characters that are worth getting

Soul ops games in the past used to have chara waves. And they were fun. They at least seemed like they were made with love. Newer soul ops games tho. Yeah… just cash grabs. Cash grabs and boss rushes. That’s all it is now…. Some soul ops boss rush games are pretty good now (1)

Honestly I don’t honestly understand how you mean downfall like soul ops was just put to a pause for a better project like soul ops 2 which only means it’s gonna peak based on extendeds popularity reaching 1k at peak meaning that the original probably would too for the 2nd release
They cancelled soul ops 1 before even making the project...and 2 the project they were working is now released as undertale fall of the multiverse, the other one idk if its cancelled or paused.

Those are the most bad lazily made soul ops games especially infinite ops it literally uses free models

@@ItzBaconYT It's dead,but they made a new one since the original game got hacked. The new version is called "Undertale Deal With Forgotten Bosses:The Second Stage". The only flaw I see is the characters doing water gun dmg,but then again they are starter characters. (Atleast they did add things like animations to the characters,so they don't look like models that are just standing still and you can upgrade characters)

Well dusted soul ops games were good, such as reborn, AGAIN, and the original one, survive the errordust was meh, sand ops is cool but lacks of characters, extended is decent and unfair ops is really unbalanced so it's kinda bad
Well to be fair not all of them are bad, some just need balacing and work. But in my opinion some other fangames I seen are just really trash and have no effort put into them
